I have been a Sonos user for a long time and I have seen the Sonos app evolve over time. This latest rendition is absolutely terrible. It is clunky, it is not user friendly, accessing and adjusting settings for different devices miserable and searching for music is a pain and when you find what you want, it often does not work. The whole reason I purchased Sonos years ago was to have all of my music devices connected and streamlined in one app on my phone. now that I have a number of Sonos devices, I am now stuck using it. Today I wanted to listen to pandora in my kitchen and sure enough, it wont work. I select the playist I want to listen to and nothing happens. Having to navigate the terrible UI for the app only for it not to work (again) was so frustrating that I created a Sonos account just to complain about it. I am at the point now where I want to just sell all my Sonos products, take the loss and start over with something compeltely new. Please Sonos, listen to everyone in the
App won’t find speakers throughout home. When it does find them they won’t connect, esp. the Roam. I’ve had to use the Spotify app to play music as the Sonos app is useless. Volume controls on Sonos app are very difficult to use. Up and down controls very difficult to control. They’re so small.
This morning the forum is useless due to tens of weird phone number spam posts.Mods: please add a CAPATCHA to new accounts.I reported the first few, before realizing that every post was spam today.
Streaming Apple Music from the Sonos app is still in a lossy format even though it is available as lossless on Apple Music. Sonos can handle lossless through Airplay but please make this available directly from the Sonos App.
When I try to search for something in the Music Library an error is generated. The Music Library is being treated like an inactive service. This is on the IOS app 80.09.09.
Has anyone else seen the Sonos homepage… “Effortless Listening”. Seriously?! “Great Effort Required” is what it should read.
These halfwits can’t even get the apology right - I just received an email from Sonos (which I assume is the apology) with no subject - and all it contained was a picture of Patrick Spence’s signature ?????
Pu capable 👎🏼 Moderator edit:Google Translate-I am really exasperated with the SONOS app in its latest version. Last year at this time it worked very well. Now it is all crooked. Does not see the speakers, unable to control the sound level. "Please try again", please try again"Please try again". Can't do it 👎🏼
Like many others I adore Radio Swiss Classic and I don’t really mind if it is the French, German or Italian version. Prior to the (disappointing) revision of the Sonos app, I had it stored as a favourite. Now there seems no way to play this station which I can easily get on the Play RTS app on my various devices. Does anyone have a suggestion as to how to get it accepted by Sonos as a favourite?
Dear shareholders, pls fire Ceo and higher management asap
The way Sonos implements its Shuffle feature is super annoying. For any given playlist, if I hit shuffle, Sonos will re-shuffle the tracks in the playlist, but when I stop playing and, some time later, resume playing again, it just starts playing the same shuffled version of the playlist from the beginning again. My goal is to always have Sonos play a random selection from the playlist I have specified. The implementation of the feature is to just play the list, from the top, in a fixed order that has been randomized once (when I hit the shuffle button). But there’s more badness! In addition to the above behavior, the very first (unshuffled) track in the original playlist always seems to get “pinned” to the beginning of the shuffled playlist. When I restart playback of any given instance of the shuffled playlist, the very first track is always the same, unshuffled first song from the playlist! This is so frustrating, because the feeling I get when I start playing music is, “Bummer, I’v
? Merci de vos contributions
Still dealing with SONOs rediculious and unprofessional update. Significant investment for me, in what's now a * filled customer experience. *Moderator Note: Modified in accordance with the Community Code of Conduct.*
Received the “No Products Found” message again on my iPhone today. It is not the first time and I am becoming fed up with the time I have had to expend on my Sonos system. I have their premium products including the Arc, surrounds and subs in multiple rooms. I had never had a problem before May. I am at a point where I am just worn out trying to fix the problems from their horrible app update. Now researching other systems even though I have invested thousands of dollars in Sonos products. I used to recommend Sonos to all my friends but not anymore. It turned out to be an embarrassment to me with their similar troubles with the system after I suggested Sonos to them. Fortunately, the Sonos app on my iPad is still working and I am hoping I do not lose that next. Sonos hardware is excellent and previously the overall experience was good before the release of the disastrous app update.
Does anyone else really struggle with the design decisions around the volume control. Aside from the issues with grouped volume control, I just really struggle with making 1% volume adjustments at lower volumes. Drag to adjust is only good for bigger changes, and at lower volumes (say less than 10%) it’s almost impossible to successfully tap to the left of the volume position with my thumb. The inability to use the iPhone buttons is frustrating, and I know you can use them on Android, but suspect that’s an Apple thing. I wish the design was just more thoughtful. I end up muting the speakers half the time. Anyway, this is all rather predicated on the app working to play music at all, which for me is still a one in three chance it does first time.
Why don’t you do these on your own community?Although it’s good that you have execs doing this why do they answer so few questions? I’m grateful for Nick Millington’s recent, detailed answers but he answered 9 questions out of ~ 70. It really feels like the execs still don’t quite get it. Patrick was the same although he managed ~12 (I suspect from a lot more questions) and his definitely felt like it was a case of if I pop my head up everything will be ok. In fact he said he should have been around earlier and will be around more but two months since and tumbleweed from him unless he’s been talking to the press trying to spin things. I guess my feedback is either do it and do it properly or don't. And perhaps face the community that make the effort to use your community system and are/were once probably your most ardent fans.Anyway that’s my piece into the black hole.
Replied on two what I thought were related topics. Got some flac so here is a new topic. Why is Sonos asking me to sign in when I have already done so.
Who can tell me how I unsubscribe TODAY from the spate of Sonos Community-emails I receive every day please? Answers from 5 or 8 years or NO LONGER workable in my present day Sonos account or my present day Sonos app!
I’m incredibly frustrated with Sonos. First they botch the App. Now I’m having problems with purchasing genuine Sonos components from their website. I ordered two replacement power cables. I ordered them from Sonos given the specific nature of their cables and I received one genuine Sonos cable and a generic cheap derivative (with Chinese print on it) which I could have bought for a quarter of the price from Amazon. The cable does not suit the application and Sonos support insist that this is normal practice and I’m making to big a deal of this. Has anyone else had a similar issue.
Hello everybody, I have been using Sonos products for nearly a decade now. I enjoy using them, but the recent TOS update really concerns me for two reasons:First, the new TOS deleted the clause that said: "Sonos does not and will not sell personal information about our customers." I am concerned that after paying thousands of dollars for SONOS equipment, that company still feels the need to make a buck off my personal information. This is a violation of my privacy, and I am greatly concerned of the resulting implications that will come of this.Second, I take issue with the forced arbitration clause. A forced arbitration clause says that any dispute with SONOS, can NOT go to court and will be mediated by a mediator of SONOS’s choosing. You may be familiar with a recent incident in which Roku disabled all televisions until the user agreed to a forced arbitration clause. They did this because Roku was hacked, and all user information got leaked. The forced arbitration locked users out of
I keep getting Delilah added to my favorites list in Sonos Radio. I hate Delilah and would never add it to my favorites let alone adding it 9 times! What’s happening?
Whilst I can't speak for most other countries (although as the RadioTuner and Radio app both show, globally hundreds of radio stations are totally free-to-air) here in the UK we are more that catered for with regards radio (the mandatory licence fee for the British Broadcasting Corporation covers at least 6 national Radio stations as well as dozens of local/regional stations) and so I couldn't see any reason for Sonos HD Radio subscription - but what about a Premium App subscription? In light of the problems we're all too aware of I could definitely see the demand for such a app - I know I'd pay for such, if it were an equivalent cost (£5/$7.50 per month type cost). I would like Library management for every subscription service, the return of Music Library for the local network (both of the above, ironically, appear to have returned with the latest update - but let's not kid ourselves, they're intermittently functional at best), the loss of "retired" apps I want brought back - half the
On the S2 app, we were able to create groups and preset the volumes on each “room”within the “group”. On the new app you can only add rooms to a group, no volume settings at all. Presetting the volumes was an essential setting to create the perfect scene with the perfect volume, pre-adjusted to each room individually. You could have a loud “party” group and then a soft “relax” group to work as scenes. It was in my opinion the most important feature in Sonos. Is this coming back? And when?
Did Elon buy Sonos ?
According to this article, Sonos hoped to sell 2500 Ace headphones a day but sales show only 250. The app has really hit Sonos hard and the stockholders. For whatever reason, I can’t paste the article here so if you’re interested in reading it..look it up.
