May 20 2025…..This morning I got the new update…..I have access to create a Playlist!!!!!! I can edit!!!!! I can create one!!!!! The nightmare is over!
I was one of the first to get on board with Sonos. Right at the beginning. For so long I've been loyal to my belief in Sonos. Through all of their mistakes, missteps, and disasters, I've held true to my belief in Sonos. After all these years, I think I'm just about exhausted and done. All my Sonos products are heading to online marketplaces, with all the ever growing number of other Sonos products.I can't understand why Sonos can't sort this out. After all the incremental improvements after "the big bad update" The interface is still total rubbish. Improvements from total unusable s***, to generally disappointing rubbish, after all this time has broken me.I had a bunch of friends home a few nights ago, tried to wave the Sonos flag, and the system s*** itself, yet again. My friends giggled and joked, as I fetched my JBL Flip 5 to be able to spin some tunes.I'm not surprised that Sonos makes it so hard to contact them directly. They know that they have their backs against the wall with th
I’m just curious if there is a system issue, or an issue with the company right now? my first experience with my issue was very good and I truly appreciate the support Sonos gave me. Kudos. the follow up has been terrible, however no communication, no action, and repeated wait 24 to 48 hours and we will contact you along with throwing the word expedited review around this has been really subpar customer service, which is ironic because the initial customer service I got was excellent I think Sonos is a good company so I’m just wondering if there’s issues right now Just be honest about it and we’ll work through it
I have used my Sonos speakers with little problem (other than when used with Spotify in the past, the volume would randomly jump to max). I used to love my system. Now? Well... I left for a business trip for three weeks. When I returned, my wife’s new account wasn’t working. I called service and they did troubleshooting over the phone. This took about 45 minutes of very troublesome work. It turned out that my system crashed because it was on a mesh network (which I have had for as long as I have owned Sonos products). The new app must have been the culprit. I had to take everything down to factory settings, use a “PIN” number that was so small and useless, I could not read it with a magnifying glass. The tech even had problems seeing it with my phone magnification. I don’t remember using this “PIN” number when I set it up. I had to disable my TP Link mesh network, rename my extenders. Another 25 minutes of wasted time. Terrible. Now I have to manually switch wifi networks betw
I purchased an on the move set in olive (roam and move 2) from Sonos AU, shipping on the roam was quick and efficient, But… i didn't hear anything on the Move 2, after a week or two i emailed the support asking about an ETA and if there was an issue. Days later i got and response saying that they had an innovatory issue, and they are waiting for more orders, they are happy to send one out when they get them in (in olive) or i could change my order for a black or white. when i reiterated the question around the ETA they went radio silence, and i haven't had a response since. I’m feeling very disappointed, around the whole experience. lack of communication from order to the issue with the order to the lack of responses when you reach out. Any one else had similar issues?
I just wanted to say I genuinely disappointed and maybe even a little heart broken to see the decisions from Sonos. I have so many people I have set up with the ikea speakers because they disappear into the home. Just another slap in the face from a company that was once so great.
I bought an ultra arc sound bar and sub 4 hoping to replace my old hifi setup. AirPlay now doesn’t work. Even direct via the Sonos app has just stopped working tonight, randomly. Unbelievable. Sonos is total spin.
The last player update 85.0-64200 and the corresponding app updates is a huge improvement on my network. (I'm using SonosNet as WiFi in-case it matters)I'm not even exaggerating game changer!Past updates in the last few months already improved Spotify to some degree (volume changes, seeking in tracks, switching to another track all just work now and as expected), but now/since the last update the app loads speakers directly (instead of taking 40 seconds or over a minute for some of the speakers in my setup)Grouping speakers works everytime and fast now. Starting playback is almost instant. Volume changes are pretty much instant and work reliably in the Sonos App! Spotify volume changes also improved and are probably as fast as they can be. I am very very happy right now!! ❤️Huge Shoutout to every engineer and developer putting in the hours over the last year.Sonos is working on par compared to last year maybe even slightly better. The Spotify Connect integration most definitely fixed a
After firing the CEO due to the app rollout disaster, is there a new team in place or is this a dead company? The app is still basically a home hobbyist app -- 10s delay to select anything to play. Pretty much always broken when trying to manage a large multi-zone set-up. Please just open source the stack and let someone else take over. I’d like to build and open source an alternative controller.
Do you have a plan to enable on Spotify playlist inside Sonos app de sorting of the songs for example, by added day, artist name, etc ascendant and descendant like in Spotify app
If ever a situation called for a class action lawsuit, this is it:Company sells customers expensive, multi-unit hardware systems Tethers customers to a software ecosystem to use them effectively Dramatically changes software into an auto-update environment Unsuspecting customers lose access to extensive, core media sources and features that significantly diminish the value of their expensive hardware and/or make it untenable for usage they had every reason to believe they would continue to have Customers wishing to continue meeting these essential needs forced to sell Company hardware that they had no intention of doing at a loss and buy competitor hardware. Pattern of behavior by Company indicates that choices made to remove said functionality were part of an intentional, plan to damage the product experience of many users in favor of others.Seriously. This would be like selling someone a car and then updating the operating system so that the steering wheels was controlled by AI inste
Is it possible to have 3 different Sonos systems and have potentially 3 different types of music playing. And, all off one account (ie. Spotify) I know you can use Spotify on Sonos, but is it possible to play 3 different music playlists, at one time, in 3 different rooms? Thanks!
Hello, I’m writing to report a serious issue in the latest version of your iOS app. As shown in the attached screenshot, the app is displaying internal string identifiers (e.g. WIZARD_STR_SETUP_HOME_VOICE_SERVICES_TITLE) instead of proper translated text. This appears to be a localisation bug – either the translations are missing, or there is a failure in loading the correct language resources.
I am trying to get my sonos arc replaced, it broke for the second time. This unit got replaced 4 months ago. Now i try to use advanced RMA, but the creditcard field wont let me enter information.Sonos is aware of this issue, but hasn’t been able to fix it for over a week. Where i could have had my replacement allready, Sonos seems te be actively frustrating returns by not fixxing the advanced RMA option.
Sonos? Nie mehr. Ich bedaure den Tag als ich für etliche Tausend € das System gekauft habe! Moderator edit:Google Translate-Sonos? Never again. I regret the day I spent several thousand euros on the system!
I have connected my record player to my sonos, which i have done already, only thing is i want to add an amp to i control the volume etc from the amp under the record player amp, how do i get it to connect i tried to add the amp, but the sound plays through it fine, but the controls have no impact, all just redundant :-( so no point it being there. I had the recorded player plugged into Aux 1. and then the line out cables going to the play 5. the record player has a pre amp which i switched off and then after doing that no sound came from the player. I really have no clue what i’m doing so any advice would helpful. Please be kind.
DON'T UPDATE THE SONOS S1 APP. IT CREATED A POPUP i COULDN'T GET RID OF WHICH PREVENTED ANY SYSTEM CHANGES TO MY LAPTOP. COULDN'T UNINSTALL ANY APP...POPUP...COULDN'T RUN DIAGNOSTICS...POPUP...HAD TO RESET THE DEVICE TO ORIGINAL WINDOWS 11 AND LOST ALL FILES AND SOFTWARE. SONOS COULDN’T HELP AFTER THREE SESSIONS, NORTON COULDN’T HELP AFTER THREE ATTEMPTS, MICROSOFT COULDN’T HELP AT ALL. THE POPUP ASKED FOR AN ADMIN USERNAME AND PASSWORD BUT NO PLACE TO ENTER A NAME AND MY SONOS PASSWORD WHICH WORKED AT THE WEBSITE SIGNIN DIDN’T WORK. BEWARE,YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. SONOS SUPPORT IS MANNED BY INEPT AGENTS.
Hello Sonos Team, I’ve got a feature request for you: Please consider adding a light mode for the Web App.Thanks!
Is there a way that you can set the sub audio settings to a preference for Music or TV input? Ideally I would have the sub set at 0 while watching TV/Movies and when swapping over to music the sub setting automatically adjusts to 3 as a set setting instead of having to go into the app, settings and changing manually.
Hello - Any recommendation for Sonos ERA 300 wall mounts? Looking to mount upside down and worried about bracket unable to hold well. Read bad reviews about Sanus ERA 300 wall mounts on a few forums. So looking for suggestions. Thanks
After running the upgrade because of error 913, whenever I tried to remove a program a dialog box would appear blocking the uninstall. It would appear also when running any system diagnostics After many unsuccessful calls to Sonos, Norton and Microsoft the final recommendation was to reset the computer. I lost all of my paid for software and three days of my life trying to get help before doing so.Sonos is responsible for this by making profit their main goal releasing untested software with complete disregard for the customer. Shameless.
I pretty much never complain in forums but I can’t just accept this any longer. We’ve had Sonos since forever and connectivity has only gotten worse. From losing home screen access to now when it just takes its sweet time to connect, if at all. I’ve counted a full minute before the app responds and sometimes it just can’t find the system. When you’re trying to mute the tv, that’s pointless. When you’re trying to change songs, that’s pointless. I’ve tried reinstalling, the web app, different devices, prioritizing the connection. Nothing helps. Our home is TINY and kitted it out fully so forget about telling us there is interference. Every other device--and we have many--work just fine. Connectivity is the BASIS of this system. How is this a viable business at this point? We’ve sunk all this cash in and feel fully ripped off. The frustration in our house, including with our guests, is ridiculous. I know this is a champagne problem but it’s also commerce. We PAID for this top-line system
Is anyone else fed up with updates or Sonos... ‘period’ ?When i first purchased a few years ago it was easy to use and reliable !I have 5 products that i wished i never purchased. Since app changes/updates it’s nothing but ballache my money will go elsewhere next time. I defo would not recommend to family/friends
This year I invested in Sonos by purchasing Era 300 speakers, an Arc and the latest sub woofer. I read this article and now I'm very, very worried. In a year's time there'll be no Sonos and all the speakers will have to be binned?https://hometheaterreview.com/the-downfall-of-sonos-a-trusted-names-fall-from-grace/
I’ve been a Sonos customer since 2006 and invested in over 20 devices. What used to be a bulletproof, plug-and-play system has morphed into a buggy, feature-bereft circus of broken firmware and half-baked updates and lies. The Sonos app crashes constantly, refuses to load song titles, and loses connection mid-playback, forcing repeated reinstalls and resets just to regain control. My music library gone, wifi disable gone, radio gone. Multi-room grouping is a dumpster fire—speakers vanish from the app, playback falls permanently out of sync, and the only fix is a hard reboot or speaker re-adoption. Firmware updates routinely brick older devices, SonosNet’s multicast spam chokes mesh networks like my TP-Link Deco X50, causing IP conflicts, dropped connections, and general chaos.I have never been able to connect Alexa or Google. What a f***ing joke. Moderator Note: Modified in accordance with the Community Code of Conduct.
