USA-SONOS.com  Real or Scam?  I see discounts at times on Social media that go to that URL.  To tempting to be real…

Hi @Matt-Lynch, welcome to the Sonos Community!

Just to confirm what everyone is saying here, this isn’t an official website and is definitely a scam: Sonos.com is our official domain.

I’ve built my home system up over time, pretty much all Connect Amps and Connects / on receivers and love it.  But every time I see these ads I was too skeptical but would think SONOS legal team would send them a cease & desist or something & would have the site taken down.

I’ve forwarded the website URL and this thread to the legal team, so thanks for raising this here on the community.

100% Scam.

The official Sonos home page URL is https://www.sonos.com/en-us/home

You can also tell it’s a scam by the ridiculous terms “Due to the high discount, each purchase cannot be less than $200”.

Well this isn't much help, hidden behind Cloudfare:

https://myip.ms/info/whois/104.18.3.225/k/1350155983/website/usa-sonos.com

The certificate shows Google Trust Services but no useful information.

Looks to only be a few days old so not much info available from third parties yet.

Still what company with any common sense would create a new domain like usa-sonos with all the security questions it raises rather than using a subdomain (usa.sonos) of their well known sonos.com site?

That is a very good point, I didn’t think to look who that domain was registered to.

thanks for reply Stanley.

There have been a bunch of Facebook ads with this and another fake Sonos site. When I clicked on them for laughs, Firefox immediately said they were fake e-commerce sites.

Celestron is another brand who Facebook allow fake sites of to be included in ads.
