Controllers and Music services

Upon attempting to open Sonos, my MacBook Air cannot find my Sonos system (sub, 2 x Play 1, soundbar in family room and 1 x play 3 in bedroom). When I try to update to update the controller, the message is that I am not authorised to make changes. I have owned this system for 10 years and this issue has never arisen before. I recently updated my MacBook Air to Ventura 13.4.1. The Sonos help bot is not helpful at all. Has anyone else had any similar problems? Any hints?

No sooner do i fix this function (by some combination of clearing the Sonos app cache, restarting the phone, and/or deleting and reinstalling the app) than it stops functioning again. Does anyone know the solution? Or if Sonos is in the room, can you please ask your engineers to fix this function? Thank you. 

After touching the title of a song I see the option to add to playlist.  When I touch this selection, nothing happens.  I don't get an error, nothing happens.

I want to buy Sonos Arc. I have a TCL 98C735 (98 inch) . I want to make sure that whem i will connect the arc hdmi. I will be able to operate the volume through the tcl remote.It is crucial for me to use one remote with out an app and without the sonos remote.I talked with technical support and they say the best way to check it is to ask in this forum users that have tcl tv and see if it works for them.

I have disabled automatic update in Sonos but it does still update it self. Why does it not function?

I am replacing a connect with a port and I have several Sonos playlists on the connect that i o works like to transfer to the port. The connect is an older generation that runs on the S1 controller. I don’t they are linked to a music folder, I think they are streaming playlists from Apple Music but not stored on the Apple Music app but the Sonos app.  Is there an easy way to transfer them? I have both still connected on the same network.

Hi ,The latest update 15.2 to my Sonos S2 app now prevents me from opening it. Where can I get the old version 15.1?

When I use Sonos app to play for example songs from Spotify or books from Storytel, I cannot read the whole text line, so I have to quess what the line is saying or to start playing by touching the line and then I see the whole text. But with 10 book/podcast lines all starting with the same words then it takes a long time to find the right one? Why isn’t it possible to show the whole text of the book, song, podcast?Picture of the Sonos App is shown where the last text is missing and picture of the Storitel app (Mofibo in Danish) is shown where the whole text is seen. 

My plex account somehow became deauthorized within the Sonos app (on Android).  I tried to reauthorize the account.  The pop-up webpage stated after signing in “Thanks! You have successfully signed in.  You may now close this window.” When I go back to the Sonos app, the app states “Account not found.  Unable to add Plex account.”Each attempt to authorize adds a new token in Plex for authorized devices.  I tried deleting each token in Plex and it still will not actually authorize within Sonos. There are no other issues with Plex at this time.  It is accessible inside the local network and outside the local network.   I would like to solve this soon as I use Plex playlists for my kids, especially lullaby music for them.

when I connect to a radio station via Tunein (FIP in France) on Sonos, It only shows the station name and not the title playing. The same radio on the web shows all titles in direct https://www.radiofrance.fr/fip 

I get a message via Sonos app saying ‘products can’t connect to Sonos system’I’ve tried the ‘fix now’ options e.g. switch products off & on, and unplugged router, left for a few minutes then switched back on, but still doesn’t resolve the issue, so does anyone have an answer please?  Please note that these 3 products (2 x play 2 & sound bar) have previously been connected and have worked fine. Also, Sonos recognises the products, but still not able to connect.  Lastly, I have another product (play 3) in a different room that works fine. Appreciate your help/advice     

Hi,After last actualization SONOS2 “forgot” my music library (catalogue on microSD on android phone). I’ve tried to add new Music Library (Settings/System/Music Library/Configuration of Music Library/add) but app do not accept path to file (which I take from phone file manager) for exmpl: /storage/6231-6630/MUSICIt also asks for user and password which are described as optional - do I have to ad those too when file is not protected?Does any one know how to set path to the SD card ? If I knew the beginning of the path the rest would be easy...

I notice a new station, Sonos Radio. When I tried to remove/ deactivate i could not.Please help how i get this removed.All search results in the app. Starts with Sonos Radio. This is bad.Hope this bug Will be Solved 

I am running iPhone XS Max on iOS 16.5in last 2 days I can’t load Sonos app.  It just crashes and goes back to home screen.  I have restarted phone, deleted and reinstalled app from App Store.  No change.  My wife’s phone with similar spec is working fine???

I bought some Sonos speakers last week and since that I encounter a strange issue I can’t figure out what causes it and how to make it stop.For the record, I use Spotify as music streaming service.The issue I have is that when I start to stream music in my car or phone it automatically changes to the speakers in my home. I’ve grouped 3 of the speakers as one group and one is separate. It always transfers the music to the grouped speakers. The odd thing is that I get the music to right unit, like when I’m in my car driving but after a couple of minutes it transfers the music to the speakers at home. If I redirect it back to the car it works fine, for a couple of minutes then it transfers it back to the speakers at home again.I never had this issue before and this started to happen as soon as I bought my Sonos speakers.

Hi. I’ve had an S1 system for over a decade (3x S5 gen1, Amp and Connect) and it generally worked fine. Over the years I’ve subscribed to (legit) Napster, Spotify, Tidal, Qobuz, Apple Music and Deezer. Plus BBC Sounds and a few other services without issue. Last night, we purchased our first S2 product, a Move. I removed all existing devices, reset them and, after setting up the S2 with Move, created a new clean S1 system.All of the devices are there, but the only thing I can connect to is Sonos Radio. If I click to add a music service I just get a spinning ball type icon (happy to share a screen grab if needed) and the app hangs. It responds fine if I select to add a voice system.I’ve obviously rebooted everything multiple times. I’ve reset the S1 app. I’ve deleted and reinstalled it. On two iOS phones. Nothing works. There are no issues using the Move on the S2 app. All services are visible and available to add.I spent over an hour on Sonos chat and was

I've recently upgraded my computer and it now has a new name, but the same data drive which holds my music files.  I'm using Sonos V1.  When I try to play it gives an error that it can't find the music drive on my old computer.  I've tried to change the folder in Sonos, searched the registry for any instances of the old computer name, searched the drives for any file containing the old computer name.  All without success.  Any ideas? 

I have a reasonably large music collection (MP3s) which I copied off CD a long time ago and I’m just cleaning up the file metadata and image art but I’m having trouble locating a few tracks within my collection.At some point in the past iTunes tried to “help” sort my music collection for me and filed things in strange places only known to apple (eg compilations folders etc )I can see the track on the sonos system, but am unable to locate them on the file system and would like to get them back into a more sensible filing system.(Searching the file system is ridiculously slow given the music library size)Question:Is there a way to see the track location under track info? (I can obviously find it)Feature Request:If there isn’t a way to see the track location, it would be nice to see this feature added. When you need it it would be a helpful little feature and probably not overly hard to implement.

So I recently uninstalled the Sonos Desktop app for my windows 11 laptop after I noticed it was not opening properly (it would hang on the Sonos logo startup). Now, I have been attempting to reinstall it and I get this message: Any ideas on how to resolve this error?

Hi I have just purchased my system comprising an Arc, sub mini and 2 Era 300’s. I have downloaded the Sonos app to control the system and I was wondering if my wife can also download the app and adjust it also, or is it only 1 person per household who can have the app?Thanks James

Trying to connect S1 device to new Synology. It worked fine on the old Synology. With the new one, I have SMB1 and NTLMv1 enabled. If I try to add the NAS, I can see in the connection log that the proper user is getting logged in. (With wrong password, the log does not go). But the Sonos UI is saying that the connection is being refused with no permission.Thanks for any pointers.

Sonos Controller for Mac: version 15.4, Sonos OS: S2When I attempt to add a service, the app applies a hard-coded email address to sign into sonos.com. It is the wrong address and not the one in my account settings, but I see no way to change it.

I don’t have an actual NAS. I do have a laptop with 11,000+ high res tracks (my music library). I do not use any cloud music anything (nor will I).I also do not not (and will not) run the Sonos app on my laptop.So, idea is to add my laptop to Sonos as a NAS from Android. Something like the solution presented here.If I share my \music\ folder on my laptop, can this be done?Specifically:Music library on a Windows file share Control the Sonos from my Android phone(s) Please advise

Hi, I've spent a fair while searching and can't find a solution to this.I've just purchased a Sonos 100 for listening to music from tidal at home.In the android app I go to add the tidal music service, but tidal isn't in the list.I've tried casting from the tidal app to the speaker, but this doesn't work. My googling says this is because I need to add the tidal music service first? Is anyone able to help please?
