why can’t sonos keep various artist albums in one folder under compilations like it use to. every compilations album is now split into single songs.

How do I give my daughter access to control music selections on my Sonos system

My music library disappeared after the May update like many other people. Tried all of the solutions put forward by other people but none worked. Decided to give up and find other systems that would play my music library in the Sonos sound bar. Recently decided to see if Sonos had solved my problem. There was now an update your music library key. Not sure if that was there before or not but tried it anyway. It seemed to work, but then came up with the message that it was indexing my library. It has now been indexing for a week and so I still cannot access my library. Any suggestions, not very computer literate so no compilated solutions.  

I primarily use my Sonos setup to play music from my network-attached storage. However, when browsing content by artist, only the most recent 99 releases are accessible. This means that, unless I know specifically what to search for, I’m unable to access the majority of content for the more prolific artists in my collection. It totally ruins the times you want to scroll through a list of releases for inspiration when deciding what to play. Is there any chance this arbitrary limit will be revised or, ideally, removed?

My Bufflow NAS drive stopped working due to SMB(!) issues, but did work perfectly with Windows 11 to stream music, approx 18 months/2yrs ago. I have since purchased MacBook Air laptop and need to purchase a new NAS drive to transfer music for iCloud, to again stream. I’d appreciate anyone who’s done this, advising which NAS drive they are using, I’m ok with reasonably simple setups, but nothing too complicated…. I don’t expect recommendations but would like to know what works with MacBook and SONOS… all a bit of a minefield…. Thanks in advance 

Can I reset Sono's system to out of box settings to get rid of an old Apple Music login that is no longer accessible? 

Prior to the app update, I would often use the “Go to album” function a lot. Its useful if you can only remember the name of a track from an album rather than the album name, its useful for exploring albums within playlists, etc. and in general it was just a useful and easy to use feature.The alternative, of ‘Go to Artist’ then scrolling through sometimes dozens of albums is clunky and frustrating. I’ll often end up literally googling an album name to search for that rather than finding the album in the app itself. Why is this seemingly very simple, but very useful feature still missing 12 months after the app update?

Has someone experienced trouble getting your Bandcamp collection (new and older bought music) showing in Sonos app to play? or does the collection appear out of phase so that when you play a track another one reproduces instead?Any ideas would be appreciated.

i have had the app for about 4 months. At first everything was working perfectly fine and all of a sudden it logged me out of my account and when I tried to sign back in, it redirected me to the website and the “sign in” sign was still appearing. it has been like this for the past couple of months and in the meantime, the app logged me out of my Apple Music account, which is very similar to my Sonos account and now I cannot login into my Apple Music on the Sonos app so basically I just cannot use the speakers from you because I used them mostly to listen to my music from Apple Music and set on my alarms in the morning! Please help me do something about this issue! 

My alarms kept disappearing until I installed the app update. Now all is well 

I was using Play:Ones in a couple bedrooms for white noise, but for the past several months+ the white noise (one "song" from Spotify, on loop) will change during the night to other music. The music change seems random, not when the track comes to an end.The music is not from any of my play lists, and if often of genres I generally don't listen to.No one nearby has or had ever had access to my Wi-Fi.Monitoring software on my laptop isn't detecting any network interruptions. The Wi-Fi signal at the speaker locations is 5/5 on my phone. Any ideas as to what is causing this, and more importantly, what could fix it? Thank you.

Just a warning to anyone who hasn’t upgraded their IPAD to the latest Sonos App (80.20.34) yet be aware that having updated mine it is now stuck in the “setup loop” issue where it prompts for me to go through setup EVERY time I launch the App.  To debug I deleted the App and Re-installed it   but that has made no difference. Diagnostics submitted but no solution from Sonos support just yet.  

After listening to a radio station or TV sound there seems to be no easy way revert back to playing the loaded queue for the device.  On the old (IOS) App (from a year ago), the now playing screen always used to have a ‘queue’ icon in the bottom left which would quickly enable the loaded queue to be re-started after listening to the radio or TV - this no longer seems to be an option with the new App?Can it please be re-instated.This facility is still available using the Windows PC controller (and also using SonoPhone App).  Would be nice if this were available in the official App.

Why is the sonos system not playing podcasts lately? I get the "Unable to load content. Retry" message for a week now.  Ove tried various fixes. What works for iPad and Android phone?

I have a group of Sonos speakers and within the last two weeks the controls on any speaker will control all the speakers in the group.  THey used to be independent of each other.  For eample, we have two reception desks in the same group. If one speakers physical controls are changed (temporarily lowered volume or muting completely for a meetingt, etc.) every speaker in the group has the same change. The possible solution I’ve seen is to give every speaker a iOS device so someone can change the settings in the Sono app.   Not very friendly for business use.  Is there any way to set the controls so each speaker's controls are independent? 

why can I not play Sirusxm on my Sonos account via my Mac Computer. I get a Zero with a slash through it on each channel

What's the right way to do this, the app asks me to watch a demonstration video but the way the woman, does it doesnt match what this guys doing. At 1 point he's even got the mic pointing towards the floor :/ 

Over last week or so, I’ve been having a repeat issue with Alarms on my Play (s)The alarms simply appear to randomly disappear.    Very frustratingly - one of the Plays resorts to Sonos Chime, while the others remain silent.I’ve re-entered  the data may 10 times over the last 4 or 5 days ; they occasionally seem to operate once then disappears.Am I missing something, or is there still a underlying problem with the software?

Here’s my issue, I wish to play my music Libruary not stream.The music is on an iMac under a named user (Shared) so we can play music and keep our own areas separate.The path way is shown correctly in the Sonos settings but after updates and even when the iMac has been closed down when I try to play music there is an error message saying that access to my user music Libruary is denied ( I assume it is because I am administrator) and ignores were the music actually is. If I re install the pathway it then re indexes the Libruary and then may or may not play music. This is driving me to distraction any advice will be appreciated 

Sonos app version: 80.20.35Music service: Apple MusiciOS 18.5Apple Music “Recently Added” item in Sonos app is not updating, it is stuck on what it was last week. The result is the same on iOS and iPad OS versions (both 18.5). Worked fine last week.Logging out of Sonos, deleting the app, removing and adding Apple Music service does not help. This is a pretty crucial feature for me, to the extent that I will have to find a different platform if not fixed. Any ideas?

Is it possible to suppress check for update when new version is released for Sonos app on Windows? Can this be achieved through file or registry?

This app is terrible . And there’s barely a work around even the AirPlay doesn’t work for the speakers . After playing one song on AirPlay my phone tells me it can’t connect to the server . So when I use the app I have to deal with this terrible user interface . Why can’t I just go to my songs on Apple Music and play all of my songs on shuffle ? The search function is terrible as well and not organized . I don’t understand how all of the users have been having the same issues and Sonos has done nothing . I saw a post saying the same thing from 3 years ago ?? What company doesn’t listen to its customers and still has the nerve to charge a thousand dollars for a sound bar . I guess that’s why they’re all on Facebook market . 

Hi there,I’m running the latest Sonos app for macOS, and every time an update is announced when opening the app I need to go through the same annoying process:an update is available update downloads, then tells me something went wrong click try again - presto, it works OR it fails, quit the app, start the app, no new updates availableWhy?My Sonos system otherwise happily plays via Airplay, or via iOS app (iPhone or iPad). Cheers, Ian. 

Hello. I have an older set up that partly relies on a Sonos Connect and Bridge to drive my non-Sonos audio components, together with the Sonos products in other rooms. I primarily play music through the S1 controller on my phone (older components not working with the S2) and mange the files through iTunes with regular Library updates. This has always worked well previously. Lately, though, my iTunes playlists have become a series of gibberish letters and numbers, although all the music files appear to be there properly, listed and playable by artist, album, and track in the app. It’s just the playlists which are a problem. The music is stored in an NAS, and the iTunes Music Library.xml file is there as per prior instructions, exported manually and up to date. I am not willing to give up my very nice audio components, but have I finally reached the end of the road with my Connect and Bridge system? Will switching to a Port and presumably the S2 controller solve this problem? Or is th

I have a laptop using windows 11. I have music on the laptop and Sonos on the laptop. I just updated Sonos (sob!!) and again (as has happened several times before) I now cannot play any music. How do I fix this? I have tried deleting the library and putting it back, I have checked that the firewall is not preventing access. I have shared the folder- all to no avail. Actually it says it is accessing the library. A blue circle circles and then I get the unable to play message again. I don’t know what else to do. Why does this keep happening? Also it hasforward slashes/ in the address but on my computer it is a back slash\ ...of course Sonos does not allow me to alter the slash. Is there a way to do this? Why is it using the different symbol to the computer- the computer is sharing the file- including the correct address?
