Controllers and Music services

I have lots.of Sonos gear,... and been a user for 6 plus years... Never had an issue with streaming the BBC,.and negotiated the Tunein/BBC Sounds change with no disruption. Suddenly yesterday morning I was unable to connect to BBC Sounds. 'the  connection to BBC Sounds was lost'. I've reauthorise, deleted reconnected etc. Yes, my account thas a UK. Address.etc.I can Bluetooth from my phone or tablet to a Move, but nothing on all the speakers.  I've tried my usual favourites and direct from the BBC service. Has anyone else had this?  Is it an update issue? Have Sonos and the BBC fallen out (again!) Any help would be appreciated Cheers     

I’m the Sonos account holder in my household. Others in the household use the Sonos app on their devices without signing into my Sonos account. I’m noticing that changes I make to “My Sonos” (e.g. adding a favourite station or playlist) gets reflected in the “My Sonos” tab of other members of the household, even though they aren’t signed into my Sonos account.Is any way to configure user profiles for the “My Sonos” tab (or some similar concept) so each person in the house can have their own “My Sonos” favourites and tab configuration?

So here's a weird problem I have this morning. My Sonos app on my iPhone refuses to see my Sonos Port but my Spotify app on the same iPhone has no problem seeing it and streaming music to it.  Any ideas how to get the Sonos app to see it? I have tried restarting the app multiple times. 

When I search for an artist in the Sonos controller app, and click through to view their catalog, it should be possible to order by release date. Also, I would like to be able to distinguish albums from singles or EPs.Especially if an artist has a large catalog, the app does not provide enough information to navigate it. 

I had a functioning S1 system a mix of Play 1’s and the original S3. I tried to help an exercise studio I use who were having trouble with their Play 1.  I brought it home and mistakenly ended up upgrading my Play 1’s to S2 but the original Play 3 and bridge aren’t upgradeable. I have now removed the bridge and the S3 is running on the S1 app. When I try to run the S2 app I get the  “Sonos found on NETWORK NAME” message. I don’t want to run the S1 app so I go to Options. if I select Forget Sonos Sytem will that mess up the existing S1 system?  I have already caused upset with My family - quite understandable and just need to get the S1 & S2 system running and if I can, prove that the Studio’s Paly1 does work which I now know is set to run on the S2 app.Happy to try another route just don’t want to be going down more rabbit holes. thanks 

We typically select music through our Sonos app, select the room we want to play, select the artist (for example George Michael) and then select George Michael radio. But the radio option isn't even showing up. Spotify is connected to the system and I can play artist albums and playlists - that one feature doesn't appear though anymore? we had work done on our smart home unit and, even though I have rebooted everything, I wonder did that impact something. how do I get Artist Radio back?

For Amazon Music Unlimited tracks, is it possible to switch between Dolby Atmos and Ultra HD within the S2 app (presuming both formats are available for the track being played)?You can switch easily enough in the Amazon app.

I have 2 Symfonisk speakers that I use together with my wife. I mostly use them via the Sonos app or Spotify while my wife prefers using Airplay. Now we have the problem that often when my wife tries to play something via Airplay, her phone shows that she’s connected to the speaker but the speaker plays the last thing I played via the app instead of what she chose on her phone. Has anybody had a similar issue and found a solution?

I love controlling my Sonos system with the proprietary desktop app and the S2 app on iPhone. One of the most convenient features when listening to Spotify was the ability to tap the heart icon (within the Sonos app) to easily add the song to my Spotify account’s Liked Songs playlist.What happened to this feature? The icon was located directly to the right of the “next” button on both mobile and desktop Sonos apps but now is silently gone.I understand there have been some changes to Spotify’s approach where they’ve replaced the heart icon with a plus icon (at least on their mobile app). This allows for more control on what that button does, i.e., which playlist you want to add it to. So I understand the Sonos integration may be limited now with that added layer of complexity. Perhaps half question, half conversation starter. Anyone else notice this change?  Is there any info or knowledge on what happened to this heart icon?Cheers

i use sonos connect. sonos software is up to date on all devices (11.10.1). i have about 100gb of mp3 in my music folder on mac (less than the 65,000 limit). ALL albums in certain folders (e.g.- Los Lobos, CSNY) do not play and album artwork doesn’t load as in other folders. error message on devices and mac is “the song is not encoded correctly” even though it is mp3. i have updated music index numerous times with the same result. i have been using sonos connect for over 10 years and never had this problem until recently. nothing new has been added to my system. any known reason why this is happening? any suggestions on how to remedy it?

I am using iOS 17 beta and just got a new Beam Gen 2. The app does not support Trueplay and I was wondering if there is a Sonos beta app available. I am on the beta program but can't find a beta 🙁Is there a beta for iOS available?Thanks. 

Hello, I’ve a strange behaviour between Amazon Music and Sonos S2I explain : I have a playlist in Amazon music, when I open this playlist through Sonos S2, it doesn’t play the title of this playlist but totally different songs !! That’s crazy ! Do you already have this kind of behaviour ?What can I do to avoid it ? Thanks in advance for your help

Using the Sonos S1 app, I decided to try loading Plex on my Synology DS218j NAS. When I tried to play music I got an Access denied message, both from Plex and from Sonos Music Library. I then decided to revert all changes that I could, uninstall the S1 app and forget about Plex. However, now when I try to add a music library share, I get an error “Access to the share …… is denied - check the user name and/or password”I have speakers running on the S2 app without a problem.Any ideas?

I have an alarm set to a radio station (via Audacy) most mornings (M-F) that has been working for a very long time (many months).  For the past few weeks, the radio starts playing but after 2-3 minutes it suddenly switches to the Sonos Chime.  Consistently, every day at the same time (a couple of minutes after the radio starts).  I’ve tried changing several settings, but it does this every day.  I can turn it off and turn on the radio, but this is very annoying.Note:  This is on a Play:1, though I also have another Play:1 and a Play:5Has any of the software changed because it’s only started doing this recently.  Any ideas on how to fix?

Really odd issue today. I am a long time owner of Sonos and have had this current set up for almost a year now.This morning I found out I cannot play any Spotify to Sonos via the Sonos App or Spotify Direct Control. It also does not work starting via Alexa. The experience I see if it connects to sonos via DC and I can even control the volume and see it relect in the Sonos app along with the song it is trying to play. But when I try to play, it looks like it is playing for 5-10s with no sound then skips to the next song. In the Sonos app it says it is unable to play the song - it lost connection to spotify, it does this for every song it skips. This is the same for playing via the Sonos App, not DC. Is it possible to connect my CD-player with USB-connection via PC & Windows media player to my Sonos Play 5?I have no problem to stream music on my PC to Sonos Play 5. The CD-player shows up on the media player, but I can not stream the music to Sonos, like I can with local music albums on the PC.

So having owned a play 1 and play 3 for a few years yes they are normally powered off. However In preparation for a party and knowing that I previously setup a group to allow Spotify to play playlists, I come to find that groups appear to have disappeared from the sonos app.Anyone have any suggestions how to create this as I have read through various boards, but cannot see it.under products I have dining room as play1 and office as play 3. Another feature request. Rather than just basic bass/treble/ambient/full adjustments for speakers, any chance of pre-configured (or configurable) DSP settings for music Sonos, you know, those “old skool” DSP settings like Concert Hall, Jazz Club, Dance, Dolby Theatre, etc to select from?For some added context and having been through MANY different varieties of music, surround sound and home theatre systems over the years. Hi,Since Tidal offer up to 9216 kbps audio quality streaming with the premium Hifi Plus membership, are you aware that sonos 3rd generation speakers can supports that high quality with multi-rooms without any unsync issues? I still have unsync issues always with hifi stream (without ethernet wired speakers and multi-room only) and i would like to know if the firmware have solved this issue, or maybe this is just that sonos speakers are not capable to handle this high song quality with multi-rooms… I have read couple years ago on sonos specs that the device can handle up to 1400 kbps if i remember but i don’t find the info anymore. Btw i have fast internet 1000 mbts speed and premium wifi Orbi Wifi with satellite device connected to my modem in bridge mode. The Sonos controller can “see” the shared content on my WD PR4100 via the Plex service but, unlike the Plex or Plexamp players, doesn’t provide an option to search by folder, it only allows by album, by artist, playlist, recently added, etc.  There is an “Other Sources” selection at the bottom of the menu that opens up to show “Music/MyCloud PR4100, which seems like it would show the shared folders, but it’s greyed out and not activated:Is there anything I can do to activate this?  Forwarding to the local port Plex uses on the private network doesn’t do it.
