Controllers and Music services

Since today my Sonos system is not able to stream local radios (e.g. RAI Radio 2).Once loaded I get the TuneIn welcome message and then silence.Other Sonos Radio streams are workingThis happened after the update to the new APP, actually after few days because last weekend, though the APP was already updated, the service was working.Any hint? Couldn’t find anything recent on this topic on the forum, or maybe didn’t serch correctly.

Will I be able to connect my new Move 2 to my S system with this new useless S app I have? 

2 systems at home now, S1 - 3x Play5 (Gen1) now separate to rest of system on newer S2 app.In S1 app ‘Services & Voice’ there are no paid Subscriptions available (Spotify/Qobus/Amazon, etc).All running OK on S2.Do I need to create a different account to run these 3 old speakers, or a new email perhaps? Have logged in and out, tried it on iPhone IOS and MAC S1 (grey) controller.Free services are all there to select, TuneIn, SonosRadio, Radio Paradise, etc.Any suggestions to get Spotify and the likes working?

All madness and disappointment aside, Will there be an update where we can ‘add to queue’ or ‘play next’?  

I have a Sonos Connect and control it using the Sonos app on Android. Last week I stopped being able to access my Tidal service from the app. I tried re-authorizing, and got the message that it had worked, but when I returned to the Sonos app it said “”There was a problem adding the Tidal account. Connection could not be made.” I have uninstalled and reinstalled the Sonos app, have rebooted everything, have checked my Tidal account to make sure that it is functioning normally, but I still get the same result. Any ideas?

Hellocould anyone tell me if the Sonos roam 2 is compatible with Amazon music.if I use the Amazon music app on my iPhone can I play the music through the roam 2many thanks

Trying to update my setup from SonosNet to WiFi, but under the Network → Manage Network options, there’s just a blank screen.  Was expecting “update network” according to the help article. Has this been removed in the new version of the app too?

Dear SONOS community, I am trying (and failing) to configure a SONOS Port so that the volume can be controlled by the volume dial (and NOT the SONOS app) of a Yamaha R-N600A receiver.The PORT is connected to one of the R-N600’s LINE OUT connections with a pair of RCA cables connected to the PORT’s IN RCA connections. So far this all works, I can use the LP, CD or radio to stream via the Port to the group of connected speakers (Beam, 300’s and sub mini) and it plays just fine. However, For ease and simplicity I want control of the volume through the R-N600 only and not though the SONOS app, every piece of literature I have read says that this is accomplished through the app by:Line-Out levels; Settings>System> select the room with your Port > Select Line-Out levels. (and then the required adjustments). All very straight forward - however - there is NO “Line-Out Levels” option in the app.

I suggest that all volume settings be done with a dropdown list. The slider is too inaccurate and not easily repeatable. 

Customer of 18 YEARS +.    First time I wanted to kick this system out of my house.   Nothing to do with the HARDWARE.    Nope.    All because of the latest CRAP Software update the Sonos Software Morons have rolled out  (BTW  I am a programmer -  industrial guided vehicles - I could have harmed people ! )I now have a system that switches itself on at times I set with ALARM FUNCTION in the Old OS.  I cannot turn them off.   I have to UNPLUG all the speakers every time we leave the house for more than a day.      And dont get me started on WiFi connection to the APP  (NOT the Sonos Speakers - that network is rock solid on my BT Fibre fed Router) .   But try to get the APP to connect on a 2 year old Android OS based mobile is a JOKE.   “Your System is not on this Network”   Tell that to the speakers that I can’t now turn off to watch the TV.      Sonos - Your last Software Update to S2 forced me to upgrade my PORT device at cost of £300.     This latest Update ( known as “Piece

Today when I opened “Sonos Favorites” out of 20 all but 2 appear as a ghost like square, but with the correct station title below each one. Clicking on the ghosts results in the spinner, but not music. Works OK on the PC app. (Please Sonos, do not “update” the windows program!)

Having returned from holiday, I updated the software on my Mac Air to Sonoma 4.5. I noted that my music library had been removed from Sonos and I cannot add even though Sonos has sharing rights with the appropriate folders

My Sonos totally useless had for many years to play my music stored on iMac now cannot find it music a very expensive useless junk I believe since update everyone moaning all I get is emails from Sonos for me to purchase more useless junk sort this outRoger

Dear SonosSince you forced the app update on IOS my whole Sonos setup does not work anymore. 1/ I get a message error when trying to stream TV sound on more than 1 speaker2/ the after a few minutes the radio sound is broken, and I need to restart the streaming to have a buffer. And restart every few minutes.3/ Voice control on TV bar auto activates itself randomly, and I am pretty sur I NEVER activated it. I spend more than 2000 euros for speakers. At this stage it is lost money.Can you please reoffer the former app ? Otherwise I want to ship all my setup back to you (and I am not going to wait 10 months for an hypothetical software update)thank you

Dear all, I've been used the Sonos 2 app on my Android Mobile phone since yesterday with no issues. Today I' ve upgraded the app but now it doesn't open anymore or at least takes more than one minute to become operational. When I open it the black splash screen with "SONOS" logo in white in the middle appears but remains stuck in this way...after some time the SONOS logo disappear and remains only the black screen....Some time I've to force-close the app....Sometimes -instead - after a long time the app showed me the main page and I'm able to use it... I've also tried to uninstall the app and reinstall it but with no success...always the same problem...My mobile phone is a  Realme X2 Pro and runs Android v. 11. It' s not a memory or processor issue because this problem only appears when I use the "new/updated version of the app…Does anyone faced the same problem??Thanks in advance 

This new app has been a terrible experience to the point where if it is not fixed I will have to abandon my whole house Sonos Hardwired infrastructure. I can barely use the app to control my home. Latency in connecting, if at all. 1-2 min delays in response to action, volume challenges, etc. Etc. When will this be remedied?  

Up until recently I have been listening to my turntable (no Bluetooth, SL1200) on my Bluetooth headphone by routing the sound like this:Turntable > Pre amp > Sonos Port > Amplifier > Bluetooth headphoneTo do this I needed to set the Port’s Line-Out Level to ‘Fixed’ in the Sonos app. This functionality is not in the new app anymore as far as I can see!Is there still a way to do make this happen in my current setup?  thanks,J

Ok. I was able to use the system using an app on iOS last week. Admittedly after a lot of swearing and trying Ethernet cables, eventually got it working over Wi-Fi.  however as of today I’m unable to connect via app. Just incredible. Really frustrating.  I keep getting the error that the app can’t find a sonos system on the network. It really is connected. I mean come on…..any ideas as to what a fix might be? are the devs deliberately trashing their products? I’d hardly recommend at this point. 

Hi all, my Android app updated to a new version yesterday and I’ve had a bit of an ordeal… System is Arc/Sub/2xOne SL.After updating I lost the ability to stream music to the speakers. In the new version of the app it showed my Arc as the only product in the system, but I couldn’t do anything with it. It knew the sub and rear speakers were there because there was an option to remove them from the system, but they weren’t visible and pressing to remove them just crashed the app every time with a single tap.I assumed it was something gone slightly wrong during the app update, so I uninstalled and reinstalled the app. This was a mistake.Now I’m stuck on the app welcome screen, unable to even get into any settings or details because I apparently have no existing system, and there are no speakers or components available. Power cycling does nothing, pressing join button does nothing.I’m stuck on the welcome screen watching a guy make a matcha latte over and ove

I'm in the UK, but am unable to add the BBC Sounds service to my Era 100. I’ve tried installing/reinstalling, etc. The address in my account is listed the UK. (It was originally listed in the US.)

I see a lot of posts from people blindsided, like I was, by the new app. I call it the “Ace” app among other things.  I have been living with this downgraded app for several days now and thought it would be good to share mitigations / solutions that will allow for a somewhat normal experience until (if / when) the app is ever fixed.First if you are lucky and didn’t update your controller app, don’t. And block updates.  Although you may need to update at least one device with the “Ace” app for some features - see below.Controller Solutions:The good news is the Desktop Controller for PC and likely Mac still work pretty much as they always have. For now. Small blessings. Android users can roll back to a working version of the S2 app - search the forum for instructions. iOS users who dodged the update can use the non-updated S2 app. I have this on a non-updated iPad as well as my wife’s phone.  Some setup features have been turned off app

Since the new Sonos app has updated, aside from the fact it’s really poor to respond & play music from my various devices, more importantly it can no longer find my networked music server ????all my music 30k plus tunes are stored on a WD “ my cloud “ music server, it’s connected with an ethernet cable to my router & is visible on my network from my laptop. However I cannot find it from my mobile app or on my pc app ……HELP 

Seeing as we have to wait u til sometime next month to change WiFi settings which I needed to do, I’ve reset my speakers to setup the WiFi. the trouble is, setup fails once it gets to the password part and tells me to use Ethernet which I can’t.  anybody found a workaround or do I have a dead system until Sonos fixes that?

I just upgraded all of my old Sonos gear and now have 6 brand-new Port units and one brand-new Move 2 unit.  Now that Sonos has delivered an absolutely horrible app that ruins the user/customer experience, I’m getting rid of everything.  It’s all unusable.  Shame on you, Sonos.😡

I updated the app and my system is now not recognizable and my speakers cannot be added… how can this be possible.  Seems like we all are having the same problem and no fixes???
