Might be worth selling them on eBay, or you can send them to me?
When one comes on here, registers, and ask a question that basically boils down to “Where do I throw stuff away that I want to throw away?”, it’s really hard to take at face value. Seriously, why in the world would anyone need to ask how to dispose of something? Obvious posturing is just that, posturing.
Where can I trash the 2 worthless speakers I have? I originally bought 2 speakers and it was working great so I added 5 more. then the new app came out and I haven't been able to do anything at all. luckily the new 5 speakers were returnable, but now I have 2 useless speakers that I need to trash because I went with bluesound and it has been much, much better! 1st it actually WORKS!!! 2nd the quality of the sound is much better. sons flat out sucks, and clearly they have no intention of changing it, as their CEO put out that its customers are just too stupid to understand what they have!
so where can I dump these so they can be recycled?
Certainly in the UK, items that require a plug can be recycled in the ‘Electricals’ sections of your local council’s refuse site. I think you need to cut the plug off first though, as I understand it. Alternatively, you can contact a number of local charities for those worse off and less entitled and indignant than you to see if your items might be of use to them?

Why are you determined to ‘dump’ them? The issues you are having are due to the buggy app and the hardware is not at fault. There are many people who are not experiencing the software issues you are and could make use of them, and they are selling for comparable prices on EBay to before the new app was launched.

Really? There is literally thousands of pages on here of people complaining that the app doesn't work!!! on top of that the CEO doubled down on it saying he doesn't care if it doesn't work!

because maybe some people, just don't like throwing things into a dumpster!!! I get that you are absolutely lazy and couldn't care any less about the size of garbage dumps! but some people do!
so clearly the one that shouldn't be taken seriously is you!

Which is a drop in the bucket of the millions of Sonos users, no matter how many sock puppets people make to try to drive up the numbers. This is not Sonos’ first rodeo. They know exactly how these things go, because the exact same vile memes, over-the-top critiques, boycotts calls, lawsuit threats, stock price monitoring, app review links, multiple thread making, Godwin references, etc., etc., etc happened the last time they overhauled the app. You could cut and paste the threads from 6 years ago and there wouldn’t be a difference anybody could see. And ironically, the thing most want in both scenarios is a rollback to the “perfect, elegant, intuitive” app that proceeded it, which shows just how silly all this melodrama is.

not their first rodeo? yeah, they are so good at it, that must be why their stock dropped 40% since the new app came out and no one is able to use it!!!
yet in the last case scenarios that yo mentioned, the CEO didnt double down on it calling its customers too stupid for not knowing what they have in the new app…

Yes I get that — you’re right there are many people complaining about the app. But that kinda was my point, the app is broken but the hardware isn’t. So I was being sincere in my question to you as to why you want to dump fully working hardware, especially when other people (who do not have issues with the app, of which there are many) could buy it from you, such as on eBay. What the CEO says isn’t really relevant here.
if I can’t do anything with it, then its about as useful as a paperweight! then the CEO dint just double down in his failure, he tripled down on it! he said he doesn't care if it doesn't work and even called the customers too stupid to know what they have! so clearly Sonos has no intention of fixing this disaster!
Don’t bother @Andrew-s it’s not worth it.

I’m beginning to concur.
I get that you are a paid troll by the failing company, but you don’t have to be so obvious!
I’ve been here a while and I’m not aware of any trolls. SONOS staff is clearly identified as such.
Oh, because you don’t know any…. Uhhh ok!!
I don’t see the point in this thread, nor of where it is going.
