I have owned my Sonos for a number of years, when it works, it is fine, but I have spent, literally, hours and hours trying to figure out why it doesn’t want to play my music collection. I’ll finally get it to play, it’s great for a period, then it starts all over again. I’m about ready to just junk it, and consider it a lesson learned.

Ok so newer to Sonos. I’ve had a Sonos Playbar soundbar (older non-AirPlay capable) connected to my TV via an optical cable. I wanted the ability to AirPlay to it without turning on the TV so I purchased a set of Sonos Era 100 speakers to 1) add AirPlay functionality and 2) give my entire primary living space synced music.Is there a way to make this AirPlay to all 3 devices automatic? I have it setup in the Sonos App as a group with all 3 devices but to get sound on all 3 devices I have to start music, Then AirPlay to both the Era 100 speakers with the iPhones native AirPlay menu but then I have to go into the Sonos App to add the older Soundbar. Works great once going but hoping I’m missing something that would make it easier. 

Pretty much every Saturday 3 or 4 of the regional stations disappear from the CBC Music On Air. Tried on line chat support and seemed to have confirmed the issue but the chat suddenly ended.

I had subsonic working in the past and. would like to set it up again. However I cannot see the service in the S1 or S2 apps I have two systems - Any advice would be appriciated.

For the last few months I’m completely unable to play anything from Apple Music on an iPhone to ANY Sonos device in my house. Apple will see them, it will show as starting playing - then nothing plays and it stops after a few seconds.As an aside, what was once a great system is now an ‘also ran’ in my mind. So much spent on Sonos with such frustration at this point.Yes, it will play music from the Sonos App.Yes, it will play Apple Music from the Sonos app.No, it cannot create stations like Apple Music does. 

I can’t play music on the YouTube music app via airplay. It works fine when using YouTube music via the Sonos app so I know I know there are no connectivity issues. I would rather play music via the YouTube music app and airplay as the app is way more intuitive and better to use than using YouTube music via the Sonos app. I’ve been having this issue for months now and it’s extremely frustrating. I’ve tried so many different trouble shooting steps from turning the speakers & phone off and on. Checking airplay settings, checking YouTube music settings and checking Sonos app settings and full removal and reset of Sonos devices… please help!! Lol

Ever since the app “redo” a basic function has been missing when playing podcasts via the Sonos app:  the ability to fast forward in 30-second and rewind in 15-second increments.   I’ve read that Sonos thinks this is not necessary because one can ask the Sonos voice assistant to fast forward or rewind.  There are two key reasons why this does not work well: 1) it assumes one has Sonos voice assistant enabled on every speaker and 2) it takes longer than tapping an icon.  I’ve also read that Sonos says we can just drag the timestamp to where we want.  True, but 30-second increments are perfect for skipping ads in podcasts and it’s difficult to be that precise with a slider.

Subject: Disappointed and Frustrated by Loss of S1 FunctionalityI’m writing to express my deep frustration with what appears to be a recent change to the Sonos S1 app. As of this week, I can no longer access or control the vast majority of my Sonos system—nearly 90% of it—due to what seems like a forced redirection from S1 to the S2 app. This effectively renders most of my whole-home audio setup unusable.To give some context: I built my home in 2018 and had a professional A/V team install a full Sonos-based sound system. I invested over $20,000 in ceiling speakers and amps integrated into my A/V rack, allowing music throughout every room and on the back deck. Soon after, Sonos introduced the S2 app, which only worked with my newer devices. Fortunately, up until last week, I could still switch between the S1 and S2 apps to control my full system seamlessly.Now, when I open the S1 app, I’m met with a splash screen instructing me to use the S2 app—which only controls a Move speaker and a

I moved to an area with Dish Fiber and I can connect the Boost to it, but nothing else.The app simply says “connect the product to power” and I do that - the progress bar goes on for a minute and says “ we were unable to connect”This was such a wonderful product but it is headed to the dump if it cannot be fixed.

Yesterday during a radio broadcast from iHeartRadio the volume dropped to about half without me changing anything on the system. Today the problem persists and is impacting numerous stations on iHeartRadio, TuneIn, and Sonos Radio (I have checked multiple stations from each platform). I can turn the volume up to about double the normal level to get back to actual normal volume but this is inconvenient as then you have to change volume settings when you change source (or put the whole house on blast).  Any help? Thanks! 

I found this “closed” topic about Sonos group doesn't work for Airplay.Sonos acknowledged that it is a reproducible problem. Yet eight months later, I am still experiencing the exact same problem. I hope that Sonos understands that closing the topic doesn't mean the problem is solved. You actually need to fix your bug.

Hey guys,I use a sonos amp with Jensen floor standing speakers, Yamaha 8 inch sub.It pumps but came home the other day and the “sub” tab has gone from the app (iOS) , no longer to adjust crossover etc.Tried all standard troubleshooting.Pls sort asap Sonos!Australia.

Suddenly overnight my Favourite Stations have appeared in a seemingly random order on my Android  phone. I had them in the order I wanted them but I can’t see a way of getting that back. The stations are unchanged on my computer app. Anyone with any ideas?

I am the primary account holder for our sonos account.  And everything works fine when I’m home - but if someone else is using the Sonos at home and then I leave the Sonos cuts off - any clue how to fix this 

Internet lost today.  So I quickly moved to my NAS for streaming.  That worked except for one thing:  When I tried to shuffle by song, it did not have this option.  Interestingly though I was able to shuffle by the same artist only.  Ideally shuffle would work for all of NAS needs with or without internet. Has anyone else experienced this?

HiIs there a timeline for when atmos willbe available through airplay? I have to use the Sonos app to take full advantage of my music subscription and era 300s and, I mean no disrespect, the Sonos app is a far inferior experience for browsing music. I almost don’t want to use my speakers because of this. So I guess I’d like to know if there is a timeline for either atmos through airplay or an improvement on the music browsing experience on the Sonos app. I’d be happy with either one.  For the app things like syncing favorites to Apple Music, lyrics wor would be great. Displaying artist’s top songs, then the albums instead of just a random list of albums songs and singles would be great too.

Dear sonos support,While working with listening history tracking tools, I’ve encountered what seems a bug with how Sonos communicates with Deezer. Each time I listen to a track, the track is always put two times in the listening history: once the song is started and once song ends and going to the next one.Also each time I pause and restart a song the song is put once more in the listening history.The issue is not related to the tracking tool I’m using, it can be seen directly on Deezer webapp/mobile app.Maybe it’s related to the fact I’m still using Sonos S1 and didn’t upgrade to the new versions (I’m limited by my 1st gen play 5 speakers).

At last it seems A to Z scrolling of local library folders is back along with some Sonos Ace features including, it would seem, the long awaited Truecinema.  I can’t see the scrolling yet so assume it’s rolling out to devices over the next few days, how does that work though even I’m on the new versions?

Hi all,I’ve just got Amazon unlimited music to replace YouTube music.  I’ve restarted router, iPad, android phone and all my speakers and deauthorized YouTube.  I authorized Amazon and all my playlists show, but they’re empty.  Sometimes they show up but disappear rather quickly.  I followed a few guides clicking the heart button on all songs but it’s the same.  All worked well with YouTube so can’t understand.  There’s only 5 playlists, maximum has 99 songs and probably 30 to 40 albums.   Deleted apps, reauthorized Amazon numerous times bu still nothing. Any help appreciated.Possibly go to Spotify if that better integration?Will

I have Sonos system with:Sonos OS S1, Version 11.15.2I want to connect it to a router which is running OpenWRT. I connected a USB drive to the router with my music library. Samba4 does not fit on the router, so I did install ksmbd-server. But my Sonos can not connect to it while on Windows I can map a drive to it (so sharing does work).Now my question:I’m completely confused if I need to use SMB1 or SMB2 on this router. When I read the posts about this then it seems that for a S2 system SMB2 is needed. Do S1 systems only support SMB1? I upgraded to the last Sonos software (11.15.2). Does that mean that I need SMB2 now for this S1 system too?I did read that ksmbd does not support SMB1. Is that the reason I can not get it to work? Can I somehow make this Sonos S1 system to support SMB2?

My Sonos library sits on my NAS (a QNAP device) in a subfolder:192.168.1.163//Multimedia/MusicThis Music Library shows up perfectly well in my Sonos app and I can play music happily from it.My source Music library sits on my Windows laptop, managed by iTunes.  I exported my playlists to “library.xml” as described in this article on Apple’s support sitehttps://support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/itunes/itns2998/windowsI copied “library.xml” to the Music folder above, so it’s at the same level as artist folders, but not in a folder itself.I then re-indexed my library, but when I look at “Imported Playlists” within “Music Library” in any Sonos app (iOS, Windows, macOS) it’s empty.Can anyone advise where I’m going wrong? Many thanks,Chris
