Bug Report: 'Limit IP Address Tracking' breaks AirPlay 2

Device: iPhone 16e ; iOS 26.2

Home Network: Ubiquiti UniFi (Enterprise Managed)

Issue: AirPlay 2 connects to Sonos speakers but audio drops (silence) while the player timer continues ("Ghost Play").

Isolation:
I have isolated this specifically to the "Limit IP Address Tracking" setting in Wi-Fi settings.
* When ON: AirPlay Control channel works (timer moves), but Data channel fails (silence/packet loss).
* When OFF (and subsequent wifi network reset): AirPlay works perfectly.

*When returned to ON - failure reproduces.

This conflict between Private Relay features and Local Network Multicast/Discovery is forcing users to disable privacy features to use basic system functionality. Please investigate the routing of AirPlay traffic when IP Tracking protection is active on managed subnets.

Hello @andyyeates, welcome to the Sonos Community!

I’m sorry to hear you are experiencing an issue with your Sonos while using AirPlay 2.

It’s an interesting find; I’ve shared it internally for further investigation.

Thank you for the detailed feedback!

Interesting. I use UI network with Sonos. AirPlay is and has been working fine from iOS with ‘Limit Address Tracking’ ON.

When I turn OFF, it does the ghost stream you describe.

I suspect its the toggling between states that is interfering with AirPlay, not the actual state.
