hello, I'm fooling with my mac’s wifi private address settings.

options are off, fixed, rotating.

seems that Sonos doesn't like the ‘rotating’ option, which I believe is more secure.

Am I missing a setting/option, or is this the way it needs to be?

thanks

Hi @Dan.Wills

Thanks for your post!

As with the same setting that is available on iOS devices, the Private Address option for connecting to WiFi is not supported by Sonos - the speakers use the static MAC address that devices normally have to identify the controllers (devices running the Sonos app) on the network.

Please note that if you are connecting to your own private network and not to a public one, the Private Address option is superfluous anyway.

I hope this helps.

thanks Corry - that’s pretty much the conclusion I came to. good point about public networks - my Mac complained while recently traveling, which started this whole thing.
