I’ve been using a shared drive on Windows 11 for quite a while. The setup for Sonos has always been hinky but it mostly worked. Recently, I have had a bunch of problems crop up more frequently. 913 errors every couple of days, having to reboot and reshare… I’ve tried a handful of things with no luck.

Today’s issue relates to streaming a 20 minute song from the shared drive. Multiple times it has stopped mid-song with the error:

Unable to play 'XXX' - the connection to //YYY/Music was lost.

I can't fix Windows, gave up, got an inexpensive NAS Network Attached Storage box and ended my frustration.

Couple hundred dollars for a decent single drive unit. Amazon and a bunch of other places sell them.

At this point Sonos should consider taking a NAS  partner, like Sonance for speakers, and offering a pre-configured unit.

Can you recommend a make and model? Before I lose my mind? :)
