so my Kindle Fire which sits in the kitchen and it sole purpose is to control the Sonos from that spot in my house, is now useless. I get that it is an old tech product, but at least it had a life and purpose until now. How about letting us run the last version of you SONOS app without all the new updated features, which makes my Kindle Fire extinct. Can you please release or sign the old app for our older technology devices to work? I have invested in SONOS to the tune of 3K+ throughout my home, would be nice to let old technology run. Am I the only one that repurposes old technology to work in the modern day? thanks, mlh

I do not own any Sonos products (yet). I am considering going with the Coonect and then adding a couple Play 1 to start. Currently I have a Bose SoundTouch Link and the theory was I'd go with the Bose SoundTouch line of speakers. That was until I stared using the Bose app. In short, the app is so God awful its basically unusable. To me, its so bad, I cannot justify buying into the Bose system. Here are a few features not possible with Bose app that are deal breakers: 1. When I create a playlist in Amazon Music, the playlist will not be imported into the Bose app 2. There is no way to scroll to a specific spot in a song while its playing. You cannot drag the current time back or forward. 3. You cannot search for songs within the Bose app. This has got to be the dumbest think in the world, no search. Really? Further annoyances are the screen is white. How dumb is that!! Is there a reason the Sonos app is always running on my s5? When I force quit the app, it reboots almost immediately. Is anyone else experiencing this battery drain?

Since the last update, I have been having issues with the Sonos Controller. I am currently running on the latest software versions for both the device and Sonos platform for iPhone, iPad, and iMac. The controller 8/10 will open but not connect asking me to setup new device. This morning after 10 minutes I opened the app again and indeed it worked. Yet, when I move to my iMac and opened Sonos app then it says it can't find the system. Running Boost with Playbar, Sub and 2 Play 1's for surround. DSL Modem ---> x-3 (xClaim) Access Point ---> Boost Submitted Diagnostics to Sonos: Referece ID 7538443 Thanks for any help!

I have started having connection problems on my computer. It stop responding and is slow. It works well form I-pad or IPhone.

Hello, For the last days I've had an issue which happens several times a day. I control my sonos system from a windows 8.1 computer with the sonos and spotify applications. During playback, sometimes the playing stops and the sonos application displays a message that says "Unable to play cloud queue - access is denied". It then deselects my sonos device from the spotify application (in the spotify connect devices list). I have added a screenshot of the error in attachment. Then I have to try again several times (play - select the sonos device) until it works again. Could you help me out please? Thank you.

There is no longer a way to link Sonos to the iTunes library on my iMac. There is no way to set the computer to never sleep (just the display). What to do? All of the music in my library in inaccessible.

I'd like to play music on both a Sonos-1 speaker and another Bose bluetooth speaker, has anyone done it? guess an external app that rips the sonos stream and broadcasts it out via bluetooth would be needed. Any help will be very welcomed...!

I appreciate that nothing much, if at all, can be officially revealed regarding Alexa and Sonos, but when I tested a Dot, I could only access Spotify. Now i am a subscriber to Apple Music. I'm guessing I will not be able to access Apple through my Sonos with Alexa but as my library is stored on an NAS can someone speculate(!) if I will be able to access my library with Alexa? Thanks.

When playing songs from Play Music, you can fast forward them no problem. Or jump to a certain time using the time line. But when doing the same using Play Music's Radio stations, you can't do any of that. Just go Next, upvote, and downvote.  Can you please add the missing functionality?

Hey everybody with the impending Prime day I was wondering if I should just pony up and get a few Echo's at a great price now with hopes it will in the future be able to control my SONOS system? If yes, mind you I have zero experience with Echo, how many would you need for 6 rooms? I assume 6. Any help would be appreciated.

I recently moved in with my girlfriend and we're merging our Sonos systems (but them for her for Christmas). She had her two play 1s at 7.3. My many speakers were at 7.2. Plug it all in, and the system tries to update my 7.2 speakers. Update failed with error 30, so I tried one at a time, no luck. Tried hard wiring to router, restarting router and cable modem, tried a couple of different speakers, hard reset (holding the play button down while plugging it in), none of these things worked. Any other suggestions? Thank you!

I normally use the Harmony Elite to run my entertainment center. My wife prefers the amazon Fire TV remote for voice control. There is a new a new "Sideclick" available from Amazon that snaps on to the Fire TV remote and adds IR volume and source capability to the remote. Will I be able to use the IR Sideclick to control the TV volume and also the Harmony remote when not using the Sideclick? Thanks in advance. gmoo

Hi guys, At my workplace, we have 2 Sonos speakers and use our laptops to change the music. Someone within the office, not an employee but its a long story, has the Sonos app on there phone and has taken to changing the music and queue leaving us baffled. I've already read that password protection isn't an option but does anyone know of any tricks that might be helpful in either taking the speakers offline for phones or adjusting user settings? I am for using multiple devices for control (Ipad, android tablet, 2 android phones, and a laptop). New user here and I havve no idea how to stop the system (Play 3 with a bridge). I force closed the control app on the android phones and android tablet, shut down the laptop and simply closed the app on Ipad but it won't stop playing. I have to physically mute the Play 3 to not hear it but I'd rather stop broadcasting Pandora thru the Sonos app to the Play 3. How do I stop it from playing? Is there a way to close the app so it no longer tells tells the bridge and play 3 to play?

Newbie here. My parents have Sonos system. Someone very smart set up a couple of speaker zones. (1) bedrooms, (2) patio (3) kitchen. Each of those selections will play between 1 and 5 speakers. I can "group" those selections and play in one, two or three "zones" simultaneously. I am unable to play to only one bedroom. I believe the system was set up with "connect". I'd like to remove the master bedroom speaker from the other bedroom speakers so I can play on that one ONLY. Any suggestions? Thank you in Advance! if I search my music library in Sonos with for example "The Fugees", then nothing comes up. But If I search with only "Fugees", then it lists the album by them. It then displays the metadata alongside the album as being by "The Fugees"! iTunes and even Mac OS finder easily find the album with a search for "The Fugees". It seems the use of the word "The" at the beginning of a search means the results are ignored. If the word "The" occurs anywhere other than at the beginning it works fine. Is this a bug?

We purchased a Zyxec GS 1920 48 port as a replacement switch. I replaced the switch by just connecting it our network, everything worked, I was then told we should add an IP and password. I tried accessing through the default IP (192.168.1.1) but could not. I tried resetting using the button on the side of the switch and now the SYS light is flashing and I cannot connect to it. Have tried restarting but the problem continues. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Anyone else? I am using Yonomi to connect to SONOS, but it is quite buggy... especially if I have my zones grouped, etc. I am PATIENTLY waiting for full integration from SONOS...... hoping it is soon!:D

I understand that my chance for a positive answer is low, but is there any way to downgrade my Sonos system for Windows XP compatibility. I was incredibly disappointed to discover that in a minor version change (7.2 to 7.3), without displaying any warning during the upgrade process, Sonos borked, seemingly irrevocably, my ability to use my main control units (both running Windows XP) with Sonos. I understand that I could have read the changelog, but it's not displayed by default when following the very prominent 'update now' prompt, and I figured that a minor update will solve, well, minor issues rather than break my system. I am incredibly disappointed, and yet it seems that the only advice Sonos provides is: spend more money and change your system. So, any possibility of a downgrade?

I use sonos at my martial arts club to play music during fitness classes etc.. the issue is the router sonos is connected to doesn't have internet connection and when I go on my iPod/iPhone to use the sonos app it tells me to update, I can't update without being connected to that specific router and I can't access internet in order to get the update. How can I update on other devices without being connected to it?

So basically I recently won a Sonos play 1 at work and wanted to sent up my own separate system for myself (my parents already have a Sonos system running through the whole house). Is there anyway to control 2 systems from one app when they are on the same wifi?

Hi, How can I make a backup of the settings in my controller? Can I do it automatically til iCloud? I'd like to do a back up of my playlists and all of my favorites and also of all of my many radio stations I have bookmarked. I have a lot of streams inserted as radiostations - I'd like to backup this too. how come are the menu in "my radio stations" so messy? I'd like to be able to make folders just like when bookmarking in my browsers.
