When using the Spotify app to select music then connect to my Sonos devices the volume controls go erratic when you try to adjust slightly in the Sonos control app. The volume control lags increases or decreases depending, almost blew the house down. If I control volume just in the Spotify app this does not happen, however the Spotify app does not allow you to tune volume in individual rooms when grouped. I'm using an iPhone and would prefer to control with the Sonos control for the group room tuning reason. Anyone having similar issue and can offer a solution?
I am curious if there is a setting in the iPhone app, or on the iPhone itself, to have the music pause or mute when a call comes in.
Background: Guest downloads Sonos app and connects to my system. Guest then controls my Sonos remotely from their home. Result is loud music played when I am asleep. How do I control who can access my system and control adding or deleting guests?
When is the controller app for Windows Phone commng?
Has there been any thought to offering a cloud-based service that would allow us to control a unit from anywhere? Having to be connected to the same subnet as the Sonos device creates problems in situations where the network being used by the Sonos device is not publicly available. For instance, a hotel. The hotel could use a Connect device to play music in a restaurant or bar or lobby (or all of the above). You don't want guests to be able to try and connect to the Sonos and change the programming, so you put the Sonos on a private network (hard wired) that does not have a wireless connection in the public areas. In order for hotel staff to be able to change the music, playlist, etc. they would have to go to a PC that is probably not in the same area where the music is playing. This makes it very hard to hear what you are doing, how loud it is, etc. If they could use an app on their smart phone and login to a cloud account to control the device, they could make those changes where
It makes no sense to use only WiFi to control Sonos devices. I turn WiFi off if not really needed to avoid unnecessary harmful radiations and of course listening to music doesn't belong to the list of activities justifying going wireless. Instead of using just broadcast over the local network, why not allowing to NAT the devices and simply configure the controller application (especially mobile apps) also for accessing via the internet?
touch screen stopped working on CR 200 can this be repaired
Would be great to always have a default playlist or streaming station on every device so that when you press the play button music will always play even if the queue is empty. Avoiding the need to find your iPhone or controller to select music especially when they are not readily available.
Can we get support for Siri integration in iOS10 please? and a widget for the lock screen
Hey, so new to Sonos. Just bought them "home theater 5.1" bundle. So that's the playbar, sub, and two play 1s for the rears. Everything sounds great and works great...but. The but: can I break off the two play 1s and take them to a different room to create a stero group and then when done bring them back to the home theater room? Ex: what I'm trying to do is take the two play 1s as a pair to the back yard for a BBQ let's say and let them play while guests enjoy the music of the playbar inside. Then when I'm done I bring the pair back inside and say click on living room and have the whole thing come back as a complete set. Thanks in advance if you can help!:)
First post, be nice! Recently received my Play:1 speaker and wanted to have a play in the house I've just moved to. Only problem is there's no Wifi yet! I used my phone as a hotspot to get the speaker and my laptop connected with the ethernet cable too. But as soon as I turned off the hotspot, it all stopped working. Is there a way to play off the laptop without internet connection? I don't really want to be using my data constantly for streaming music. Obviously if it's no possible, let me know! Thanks!
AirPods are a genius product. In my case, however, I am unable to use the AirPods from my Apple Watch unless I uninstall Sonos Controller App. --- And I can reliably reproduce the connection issue when I re-install Sonos Controller on my iPhone. When I delete the app everything goes back to normal Apple Watch connects to AirPods. Apple claims on their support website: "AirPods are connected to your iPhone and Apple Watch at the same time. Sound automatically switches between them." Well, in my case, with Sonos Controller installed it doesn't work. Did anybody else notice the same behavior? Feed-back appreciated. :?
Flic has announced a Hub that will include control of Sonos and many other wireless devices. Information so far seems to show home kit , smart things lIFX and lots more. http://hub.flic.io/?refcode=lgnsirfudq
My controller prompted me to update my speaker software tonight but I don't see anything about it on these forums. Does anyone have any release notes?
Amazon has a virtual playlist which is "Recently Added" that allows you to easily listen to your newest music. It would be nice for us to have the same sort of thing with our local music library so that I could easily grab the latest podcasts, newest songs, latest audiobook, etc into my queue.
Is it possible to set up more than one Trueplay tuning for one speaker? Reason: moving Play 1 from inside room to deck, and want to be able to access the different tuning profiles without going through the entire process each time.
I would like to be able to open the app and use the sonos playlists to play music when I am not home. (no sonos speaker available but maybe a bluetooth speaker) Not being able to do this makes spotify playlists almost pointless. I understand that it would be difficult to make sure you had access to all the songs in a playlist and what particular service they were from when away but it would make the appeal of making spotify playlists a little better. Even being able to access to see what songs are on a playlist would be an improvement.
I've noticed over the past few software updates that unless updates are done (eventually), functionality starts to disappear. For example, until I accept a software update, my ability to update my music library index ceases to be available on an Android controller. Only by accepting the upgrade can I see the Update Library option once more. Whilst I accept that these free upgrades can add functionality to the device I originally agreed to buy from Sonos, to manadate these changes by temporarily curtailing the existing functionality of something I own - and something that was part of a 'contract' between me and the seller - seems disingenuous. No doubt this is a common observation across all software enabled consumer devices - an maybe an activity covered in the small print somewhere (or under that 'right to continuous improvement' caveat), but I wonder what the legal position is (in the UK) for a contracted (seller-buyer) item to be changed away from that purchased at the supplier'
I think I have seen some other posts about grouping individual speakers into multiple groups. Oddly enough, I bought into the Sonos Koolaid, happily, and now I have a Sonos:5 and a few Sonos:1's, and want to group some of them into "front of house" and all of them into "the whole house" and target each group with music/radio/etc. Sadly, I think this is impossible? Or is it not? Google Audio Cast seems brand-new in comparison, but seems to support this out of the box. I'm now wondering if I should be selling my Sonos speakers to switch, which is inconvenient 😕 I do hope I am missing something obvious here 😕
I'm curious to hear about other's experience in using the Harmony hub + remote with Sonos. I'm considering a purchase, but just not seeing a lot of advantage. I understand that it really has more to do with everything else you've got, not just your Sonos system. In terms of just Sonos, the harmony app and remote can't do anything more than the Sonos app can do...less actually. It does allow a limited integration with Amazon's Echo (which I have), but Sonos has promised to integrate directly. That means it comes down to 'everything else'. In terms of getting the HT audio and tv turned on at the right inputs, that isn't a big deal for me. I do have a playbar, so TV audio is automatically on when the tv is sending it signals. Nothing for Harmony to do there. If I didn't have a playbar, I think Harmony would get my purchase on this feature alone. On the TV, I have 3 inputs. Blu-ray is used rarely, maybe every other month, so Harmony can't help out much there. The other 2 inp
I'm wondering how to use a Spotify Station as a source for an alarm. When I create a station in Spotify, e.g. an Artist Radio station, I can see it in my Sonos favourites, but I can't see my Sonos favourites as a source for the alarm. I'm sure this has been possible to do as I currently have an alarm set up in another room that's playing an artist radio station - but now I can't work out how to do it again.
I have 2 Play1 and a Playbar which are great and I control them from my iPad. I can play anything from my music library and podcasts but I have apps on the iPad like BBC iPlayer which I can't stream onto my Sonos speakers. Any ideas
Hey Guy's, I'm experiencing the following issues. I had a setup with approximately 9 devices, I want to give some device to my son. But the first problem occurred when a factory reset the boost. I'm trying to connect it in his house, but it won't connect. When I logging in my account I see the boost in my list, Is that the problem from not connecting? How to fix this, Thanks in advance Martin
Good afternoon! He became a happy owner of the SONOS system, but then there were various questions, he was insanely stunned and remained at a loss, as it was possible not to think about the possibility of playing video files directly from the computer (mine TV), if you buy stereo pair PLAY 1, you can not connect them To the computer and not only listen to streaming music through Sonos play 1 - 2 Sonos playbar Sonos SUB Sonos boost And stumbled with such a seemingly very stupid problem at first glance, I understand that it is possible to get around this problem through SONOS connect, but in fact it costs not small money, and believe me, in Russia acoustics costs 2 times more expensively than in Europe or the USA! I had to express my displeasure, because We have this kit costs about $ 3000 and imagine, I can not bring sound to this cool and smart acoustics from the application on my phone, no words!:@:@:@ The question I have is the following, am I mistaken about what I wrot
Does anyone happen to know if there is a Sonos app for the Samsung Gear S2 watch? I was considering buying one if there is an app for my sonos
