I bought a Sonos Port so I could play music though my KEF LS50s and Sonos Arc simultaneously. I was told before purchase that hardwiring the KEFS via RCA wires would work, but after spending 1.5 hours on the phone with tech support we couldn’t connect the KEFs to the Sonos App. We set the KEFS to auxillary, plus I tried all other settings afterwards, with no success. The Port is refurbished and I am wondering if that is the problem. The tech said that I needed to buy an optical converter since optical worked before with a Sonos Connect. A good converter costs more than 150.00 and I really want to see if I can avoid spending money on yet another purchase. What am I missing? What am I doing wrong? All advice welcome. Thanks!!!!
Why can't I connect a Sub over Wifi to a Sonos Amp and hear audio. The Sub needs to be located 25 metres from the Sonos amp which is in a rack with 11 other Amps all connected by ethernet. The support team tell me my Sub either needs to be close to the Amp (less than 15ft) or connected to my network by ethernet cable. If it will work connected by ethernet cable, I don't see any reason why it shouldn't also work over WiFi. Seems pretty poor to me. Disappointed.
Hi! The Sonos system at my parents house is giving them a lot of trouble. They have a fairly big system, consisting of two Play:1 zones, two One zones, two Connect:Amp zones, and one Playbar zone. Each zone consists of a standalone speaker, with no stereo pairing or Subs involved. In particular, the Connect:Amp devices are intermittently dropping audio for about 5 to 10 seconds at a time, several times a day. Sometimes the audio in these zones stop altogether and they need to power the devices off and on to get them working. The problem only exhibits itself when listening to live radio via BBC Sounds or TuneIn. They haven’t had any issues when listening to Spotify or Apple Music, but they mostly listen to live radio so they can’t say for sure whether other services would be impacted if they used them more often. They previously had a Sonosnet connection using a BOOST wired to their BT Smarthub 2 router and had similar issues. I switched them over to WiFi and it has made very little dif
So, I have a pair of klipsch aw650s, that I put up outside for summer time. Currently they are inside though, with Sonos AMP connected to the TV, sub, and sonos ones. In this room, right now, I have sub, two fives, two ones, and the klipsch speakers. While sub is good for tv, I want something better for music, I am thinking svs pb3000. I would like to sell the fives and sub, they aren't as loud as the klipsch and I like the sound of the klipsch better. With that said, I would like to get a third party amp, a port, and two new inside speakers. The speakers will be hooked up to the tv with AMP, and the new sub. But I want the port and new amp to power the outdoor speakers when they get hung back up outside. Or the inside speakers I don't really care. I have run wiring for an amp to power the speakers outside, through an exterior wall. I am looking for third party stuff, as $700 for AMP seems like a lot. Any suggestions on speakers to connect to AMP and the tv? And suggestions on an amp t
I want to connect a Sonos port to my existing AVR. I want what I'm watching on the home theater to be able to stream to my two other zones connected by Sonos amps. I also what whatever music I'm streaming in those zones to be able to play back in my home theater as well. So can I use the loop out on my AVR to connect to the inputs on the port and the Output on the port to plug into one of the inputs on the AVR?
I have a new Sony STR AN 1000 AVR with a “works with SONOS” designation. No matter what I do, I can’t get it to work with my SONOS Connect. Do I have to buy a $500 SONOS port to be able to turn on the receiver with the sonos app? Is it incompatible with the Connect or am I doing something wrong. If it won’t work with this older technology I’d like to know so I can stop beating my head against the wall...
im adding a port to existing system, my app see it and begins the add process, I enter the port pin and the blue join light never starts blinking and even pushing it anyway doesn't allow the process to move forward
My port can't get power. I've tried several different power cords and the port fails to light up. Any ideas on the source of the problem?
Hi all, I have 2 sonos ceiling speakers installed in the kitchen, these are hard wired to a sonos amp in which is upstairs in a cupboard. The amp works fine, good sound from the speakers when playing from my phone.I have tried to connect my external echo dot as the voice controller. When running through the app set up, it tells me I don't have any dealers registered to my sonos account. So I go into my account to assign the architectural ceiling speakers. The audio beep comes out of the speakers, but the app says 'sonos architecural speakers not detected.Without these speakers registered to my account, I can not enable the sonos skill on my Alex app. Therefore can not link the 2I spent an hour and 50 minutes on the phone last night to sonos help doing resets, trying work arounds and they concluded that it should work but doesn't.Is anyone familiar with such problems please?Thank you
Hello!Brand new Sonos user here. Quick question on the connection of my Port / two Era 100 speakers to a Sony Receiver I have. We recently converted a detached garage into a “party room” of sorts. We got two Era 100 speakers to use with a TV as well as Port to use with turntable, cassette deck, and CD player. I have TT, cassette deck, and CD player in a Sony STRDH190 receiver. I’ve connected the Port to the receiver and can get all records, tapes, and CDs to play in the Era 100 speakers. The volume can only be controlled through Sonos and I’ve tried various combinations of “Fixed” “Pass-Through” and “Variable” as recommended in other posts. It’s almost as if the receiver is just a big “switch box” now letting me select between inputs but not impacting the sound in anyway. My question is have I set it up incorrectly? I would like to have the receiver be able to control the volume / tone as well. I feel like what I’m hoping for is impossible or I’m missing some very easy step! The curr
I have a Sonos Connect connected to my hi fi amplifier. Unfortunately when I am listening to BBC radio it keeps cutting out.I have now connected it to a wifi extender with an ethernet cable, but the problem is still there. I monitor the wifi extender which always has a good connectionto the main router. The signal from the extender is always strong (no problems with anything else connecting to it).The only connection problem is the Sonos Connect and nearly always when listening to BBC radio. Is there a compatibility problemwith Sonos and BBC radio? Is my Sonos Connect defective? But why only with BBC radio?I hope you know what’s wrong because this is extremely frustrating. I was looking forward to New Year concert from Vienna on BBC Radio 3but is impossible to listen to with constant drop outs.
Hi I have a pair of Sonos Era 100 and a pair of Sonos Era 300 speakers. Both pairs are used to play records via Bluetooth to my Sony Bluetooth turntable.Since upgrading to version 15.10, both of my speaker sets are able to pair up to my Bluetooth turntable, but I am getting no sound.I have unpaired and re-paired both sets several times, but to no avail.I am able to pair up my phone to them over Bluetooth and play music no problem.Anyone else got the same issue? Can anyone suggest anything?Kind RegardsMartin

How do I delete an old Music Library folder that was previously linked to an old pc that is no longer?I have no Manage area in my settings. Want to remove the songs so when I hit them to play I wont get the message that it cant find \\xxxxxxx-PC.Using S1 AppThanks, Brad
My parents have an older B&O sound system with multiple speakers, sub, etc. (don’t judge - it came with the apartment they bought a while ago). Originally there was a B&O television as well and the whole system was fairly well integrated. A couple of years later the TV broke and they had it replaced with a Sony TV. The installer used a Sonos Port which in turn was connected to a TOSlink-to-RCA converter to connect to the TV which kind of worked, but the sound relayed through it had a noticeable delay (mostly due to the TOSlink-to-RCA conversion I assume). A while later I bought them a Sonos Beam which is now their main TV speaker. The Port can be grouped with the beam and now the sound through the Port is not suffering from delays. However, when they click “Mute” on their remote both the TV and the Beam mute themselves, but the Port does not and sound continues to play through the B&O system (which the Port is connected to)So:Is there any way to automatically mute the Port
I need to connect my Sonos Ray to my Epson EH TW650 projector, any simple advice really appreciated please

I have a Sonos Connect that just started cutting in/out while playing music. The sound doesn't cut out on any other Sonos devices that I have on the same wifi. Nothing has changed in the house and I don’t have any neighbors close enough that the could have a wifi interfere with mine. I have tried different steaming services, I have run different input devices on the tuner and they all work fine. It seems like I'm down to the Connect being the issue. Any thoughts on something else I can try?
I had been using my older ZP80 with my cambridge dacmagic200 DAC and everything was great. I loved the sound. This configuration worked on S1. I recently added a pair of sonos 5 speakers which sound great but work off of S2, so I have been forced to use S1 for one thing and S2 for another and it is not convenient anymore and I have been having issues with the S1 set up.So I decided to get the port to replace my ZP80 and run everything off of S2. I have it working, but dont like the sound as much as what I had before. I know the port has a nice DAC built in but I prefer to use my cambridge DAC, but I cant seem to get it configured to work right. Before i used through the Toslink connection and all was well. I have tried using the port with the composite connection to the cambridge, but the cambridge does not seem to be taking over. I want to just try bypassing the DAC in the port and using my cambridge since I already own it and prefer the sound, if this is possible. If not I may send
I have a Sonos Amp with two external speakers, 3 Sonos 5 gen 1, and 1 Sonos 1 gen 1. Two bridges and one boost are in use, but the power pack is damaged. After changing my router, I can't connect to the new one. Despite reconfiguring, the Sonos 5 now shows an orange light. Need assistance. Also, Sonos lacks good backup service, especially in Africa. Difficulty reaching them; wouldn't recommend their products here. They need to address their responsibilities. Moderator edit: removed email address
I have several Sonos Connects on my home network. I have a Sonos account and so does my wife. Is it possible for both of us to have our own account on one Sonos system? Thanks, Brad
I have a Connect Amp (ZP120) for a few months now. Basically works very well, very happy with it.But...Spotify Connect falters about once or twice an hour on average. Stops playing and continues where it left off after about 5 to 10 seconds, in the middle of the songQuite irritating. I read that I'm not the only one and I think I followed the tips from elsewhere. Removed Spotify as a service and re-installed it. As it happens during songs, it can't be Spotify-ads (I'm using Spotify Premium).Switching the network connection from wired to WiFi makes no difference either. No problem with all other connections to the same network. What else can I do to resolve this problem? Internet radio and playing my own content on my NAS work without any problems. Spotify from the Sonos S1 app also seems to work well, but is a lot less practical and user-friendly then the Spotify Connect.I'm curious if anyone knows anything that could lead to an improvement/solution. Thanks in advance!
I have 2 Sonos connect amps that are both wired to my network switch via internet. Both amps cut out for 3-5 seconds at a time when streaming from Apple or Spotify. Any ideas as to what might be causing this?
I have 4 conect 2 amps. 3 of these always connect to my network when using the Sonos android app. However the fourth connects app won't connect and I have to switch that amp off and and on and then it connects ok.I have spoken to Sonos and they seem to suggest that the cache or memory on that amp is full and apparently there is no way to clear it. The system is only 4 years old and hasn't been used that much. Sonos just say it's tough and I can buy a new amp and they will give me say 30% discount. Anyone got a suggestion to sort this? Otherwise these apps aren't worth having! Poor quality.
Hi there. I have been experiencing sporadic audio dropouts across my system. I have 5 Connect:amps, and they are connected via ethernet to my router. This issue seems to occur fairly randomly across amps. Diagnostic ID: 1858171971
