Hello. My Play:1 speakers are connected to my Playbar, and while watching TV, the surround sound cuts out constantly. It mostly does not work, and only works in spurts, intermittently. The sound works fine when playing music via Spotify.I believe this problem has been happening for a while, but after moving to a new place, it seems to be happening much more often, constantly. My Playbar and Play:1 speakers are all connected via wifi to my home network, which uses eero mesh.My diagnostic confirmation number is 1020397049.Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!
Existe un centro de servicio de Sonos en guadalajara tengo 2 one con bocina voladas y no se donde me las reparen
I powered off my Connect Generation 1 and then reconnected power. After a while when it would not even boot, I have now factory reset it and it is now stuck with a flashing green mute button. When trying to add it to my S1 Controller application it finds the unit and identities it correctly; but nothing happens when I press mute and Volume + buttons together to actually connect. The app times out the connection attempt.Any ideas for a solution would be uch appreciated.
Hello everybody,I’ve been unable to use my LG magic remote to control my Sonos Playbase for a whole year.I’ve got an LG C7 OLED, a Sonos Playbase and 2 Sonos Play:1s set up for surround. I want to get a Sonos Sub and a couple of Sonos 1s to have around the house, but being unable to control my existing Sonos products with my TV’s remote control is not really inspiring me to spend more. I’ve already spent around 1000 euros for the existing setup as it is. Internal TV speakers just don’t cut it.To this date the only similar topic I have found on this forum is this one by user earplugs: Playbase and LG Magic remote | Sonos CommunityIt was all working fine until about a year ago, when I moved country. Everything remained in storage for a period of time, and I started setting it all up again probably in early July. I remember the TV got a firmware update as soon as I took it online, and since then the TV’s menu options have changed massively. Device Connector on my LG TV is no longer giving
I am doing a large TV room for a client and would like to use an Amp for the ARC function within the TV. However, this is a LARGE room and I would like to do a large 3rd party amp somehow using a speaker to line converter. Any thoughts on this? I tried a basic speaker to line converter on an Amp previously but was unsuccessful. I got very distorted signal regardless of volume level. So,, big room need big power than Amp supplies but want functionality of Audio Return feature of amp, just wish it had 300W per channel!
Setting up a new outdoor pool and patio speaker set up. I want to use Sonance SGS 8.1 Garden Series or Sonance - SR1 Sonarray Outdoor Speaker system with a Sonos - Amp 250W 2.1 Amplifier. Will this work? Do I have to add any other devices to stream Apply Play through the Amp? Also, if I want to expand the system can I use the Sonance SGS 4 SAT Pack Garden series and ties directly in this set up? Thanks in advance!
I’ve got a setup with 6 Sonos Connect units in 6 different rooms each of which have an amp and speakers connected to them via optical output connection. All are wirelessly connected to each other with just one unit connected via ethernet to my home network for direct internet access. Which then relays that access via Sonos’ own wireless network between units. Max distance between any of the units is 20ft or less. Everything has always worked flawlessly when playing something in any one room using the Sonos S1 app and a streaming service. However whenever I try to group 2 or more rooms to play the same audio regardless of the streaming service all the rooms are out of sync by as little as half a second to as much as a second or more. How can I get the whole house to play the same music in unison and all synced up? Nothing in the app allows for delay adjustment when streaming. Only for using line-in which doesn't help me. Only thing I can think of is having to hard wire each unit and dis
I just got a Sonos One (Gen 2) after reading that Airplay was finally working well with it. I was hoping to use it as my speaker when streaming video from my MacBook Pro, but have been hounded by audio issues–even with it connected via Ethernet to my Airport. The audio cuts out if paused for more than a few seconds. The easiest fix has been to go to Volume in the Menu Bar, switch the output device to something else and then back to Sonos. It's a pain to have to do this over and over. The audio comes back without much delay. I noticed that there is a substantial delay when I go to unpause music that's been paused for a bit as well, but not as bad as when unpausing Netflix or Youtube. The audio also cuts out in minute drops every now and then, which probably just comes from AirPlay sucking up my shitty wifi's bandwidth as I've read in other posts. Given all the other unresolved issues I have read about and the hassle that was setting this up over the phone since the app's automated set
I have an extra Sonos amp laying around and was wondering if it’s possible to make 2 zones out of the 6.1 package?Zone 1: 4 speakers and subwoofer around poolZone 2: 2 speakers for firepit no subwoofer. Would the speakers still sound good without having no sub on this zone?
I’m having trouble with my Connect amp.the music keeps cutting in and out.recently, I left it unplugged for a day then plugged it back in and it worked fine for two day, and then it went back to intermittent.it surely can’t be Wi-Fi signal. It is less than 10 feet away from my broadband box with two standard brick walled in between.just below the connect amp is our back TV which is connected to SKY a stream mini box and the picture never wavers, even when the Connect Amp is playing intermittently.any suggestions for a fix gratefully received.if not, my wife says it’s going in the bin!bob.
I have a Connect Amp connected to my setup through WiFi. I have a problem playing BBC through this device, it keeps cutting out. I use BBC Sounds, and this is the only radio I have problems with, everything else plays properly. Because of this it can’t be the device or set-up, so what is the problem?
I currently have an older Sonos surround system .. soundbar, sub and play 3’s & 1’s. I also have a Connect that I use as a passthrough to a Pair of Devialet Phantoms (Turntable→valve phono-preamp→Connect->optical out->Devialet Phantoms).I’ve just ordered the new Arc, Sub and Era 300 system and was about to click buy on the Port when I realised it doesn’t have an optical output :O I’m feeling suddenly snookered .. what can to do?I don’t want to replace the Connect with a Devialet Arch because I’ll lose the ability to also play vinyl through the Sonos system .. not to mention the trigger automation I’ve configured from the Connect to Phantoms that makes life extremely simple.I don’t even know how to tell what Generation my Connect is.Kev.
kind of spooky...
Solution: 3 Amps, 1 Connect Amp, 2x Sonos Ones. All Amps are wired in.Recent Problems:One Amp drops out for about the last 10 seconds of each track. One Amp occasionally drops out for a period of timeThis started, then stopped for a while but has now started again.Any ideas as this is very frustrating
I am trying to connect a Sonos Port to my existing Sonos system. I have the line out going to a Sony receiver and the line in coming from a turntable that does not have a preamp. The turntable sounds is low coming out of my Sonos speakers and I can’t adjust it from the app or the receiver? Any thoughts?
Background:Family Room: AMP w/Sonos ONE (pair as surrounds)Backyard: Connect(gen2)Asus RT-AX82U/AX5400 RouterAfter installing new router and updating the wifi settings, the Sonos App (S2) does one of the following: 1) stays grey and doesn’t show up 2) only shows the Connect 3) Works perfectly for 3-5 seconds and then the system dissapears.I've gone in and adjusted the router settings as recommended in various help sections, turned off the auto-priority/QoS settings in the router, updated the channel to Ch6 within the 2.4 channel, did the whole direct plug ethernet cord into the amp, and ONE speaker to update the wifi information directly as recommended. Also rebooted all sonos products. The only thing working right now is the family room because it feeds audio in from the TV.Any recommendations or links would be helpful...spent the last few days becoming a fake fix-it dude. Thanks!
Hi,I just setup a new system in our holiday home, with a Sonos Amp in the living room and two Sonos Ones in the bedroom.Originally the Amp was connected via cable and the Ones via WiFi, but it seems that is making issues with our Unifi switch/access point. Initially I could not even add the Amp to the system, but after I switched it to WiFi that worked. But now the Amp disappears from the network after 30-60 minutes of it coming online. So initially when I start the Amp I see it in the Sonos app, but at some point it disappears and is also not reachable anymore on network level (ping). I tried to switch it back to cable instead of WiFi but the problem is exactly the same.Could that be again an issue with Unifi? Unifi recommends having all Sonos devices either wired or wireless, but in my case this issue also occurs with all devices being wireless.Any ideas on how to debug/solve this?Regards, Robert
I’ve noticed others with the same problem...so I anticipate the answer may be obsolescence (planned or otherwise), but looking for official support here if possible. All components have been hardwired and in place for over 5 years (except for the newer connect models, which replaced older connect:amps not supported by S2.The Diag file number is 2005163756.Many thanks if someone could review the diagnostics and LMK.
Just added a boost to my system - 2 era 100, 1 move, 1 move2 , 1 roam and a google wifi mesh. It will ADD to the system but refuses to register to my account.
Hi - I just moved into a house that has 8 zones of speakers (not sure what brand) and Elan wall switches in each room/zone. I want to start adding sonos amps to each set of speakers (maybe 2 sets of speakers to a zone) in some cases.I would like to have the option to control the volume in a zone with a wall switch as well as the app. Will the Lutron Pico Smart Remote work with a Sonos amp connected to non-sonos ceiling speakers? If so, can I just connect the speaker wires in the existing wall plates to each other and replace the wall receptacle with something to hold the Lutron?
Hi all i bought a Sonios amp today and it’s running quite hot. After 2 hours at 50% volume the top of the unit was 46 degrees Celsius and the bottom was 50 deg. I did a live chat with support and they reckon this is normal? Has anyone else had this? the amp is siting on a tv bench in free space, nothing around it. Only one set of speakers are connected - Dali Oberon 5s which are 6 ohm speakers cheers troy.
I have a Niles ZR 4630 receiver. 2 other Niles amps daisy chained to Reciever.I want to get rid of all the touch pads in my house. I have 5 Rooms connected to the 4630, and I just want a Sonos connect or port to turn on the Niles.Does taking out the keypads enable auto sensing turn on/off with the Sonos? Thanks
Hi. I made the Arc system with Sub and Era 300, connected by HDMI ARC from TV A. If I add a AMP(or PORT) for TV B connected by HDMI ARC also, the AMP can stream the sound to Arc system that was already connected by TV A??(if the TV A is turned off) or do i need to make a new speakers group only for TV B? Thanks.
Hey all - here is the basic situation:I have an 8 speaker Sonos system including 3 Amps The Amps have all stopped producing sounds completely. I have removed the Sonos Amps from the system, reset them, added them back in to no avail. It looks like they are playing music but no sound is coming out of any of the three speakers. (All other speakers work normally including when grouped with the Amp) Checked the speaker wiring (all looks good), ran speakers from another non-Sonos amp (played fine) so I am really not sure what the situation could be.Any advice for troubleshooting?
I have a Samsung 4K 60hz TV WITH Arc HDMI port out which is connected to my Sonos Beam Gen 2. My Xbox series X is connected to another HDMI port on my TV. my wireless Astro A50 headphones connects to the Xbox via USB but also needs optic cable connection to the Beam. But Beam Gen 2 has no headphone or optic cable or any additional OUT port. Can I use an Arc supported HDMI splitter of some kind between the TV and the 1) optic cable to headphones base, and 2) HDMI to Beam2?if so, what kind of splitter and cables are recommended? Any specific model recommendations?
