I have a ZonePlayer 120 that has been in storage for a few years. I. just found a new use for it thankfully. However, I can not seem to get it connect via my Sonos S1 app. When I try a factory reset (unplugging and then reconnecting while plugging power back in) it simply blinks a brief white light and then nothing else. I have held the button in for several minutes and nothing alse happens. The S! app does not see the ZP120. Anyone have any ideas?

Depending on how long out of date the firmware is, you either need to connect it via an Ethernet cable, or if that doesn’t work, you need Sonos support to force an update to the unit.  Try the Ethernet cable first, if you have no luck, contact support.

Do I just repeat the reset process with an ethernet cable attached?

Yes. And if that doesn’t work, as @jgatie suggests, you should call Sonos Support directly to discuss it.
