I can't change the volume using either my mobile device or the touch controls. If I hold my finger on the down volume button it goes down for a second but then surges up again.Any advice appreciated.
I have half a dozen S1-only Sonos devices. I just bought 2 Fives. I understand those are S2 only and I’m prepared to have a split system running both S1 and S2.I ran into a problem trying to follow Sonos’ directions for adding S2 devices to an S1 system. They say to first remove S1 devices through the System Tools section of the S1 app. My problem is, there is no “remove device” button offered to me in that section. I’ve read past threads where some other users had this issue but it fixed itself when they updated their system. But my Sonos is already up to date, plus I’ve tried rebooting my router, etc. “Remove device” is not being offered to me.I’m wondering whether I would create problems if I went the other direction, and set up my S2 Fives as though I was setting up an entirely new Sonos system for the first time, and leave my Sonos 1 system as is. Could that work?Any advice you can offer would be much appreciated!
I just bought a Sonos 2 Pack at Costco and Not pleased at all. Im ready to return it. I discovered that both power cords do not make good contact with either speakers, and moving them they lose power. I have to position them correctly on a counter for them to get power . Also, it was kind of strange that the power cord does NOT go in deep enough for the cord to go through the ‘Channel’ at the bottom of either speaker. And, it won’t sit flat because the power cord does not go in far enough for the feet of the speaker on all four corners to sit flat. Trying to set up the first speaker, and having issues, I tried the power cord from the second speaker with the same result. Im really disappointed. I shouldn’t have to move it around trying to make contact with the power cord to get it to work.
I’ve got two play 5s in stereo and they have been working flawlessly for a month. Now the right speaker disconnected and I cannot get it to reconnect whatever I do. I’ve tried factory resetting, connecting to the router, everything. The app gets as far as seeing there is a new speaker, when I press the button on the back, I hear the chime but then it says ‘error not connected’. Every time. Diagnostic 1423631518
Wrote this earlier, but I lost it. Another try.. :-/Diagnostic: 1852252668I have a fibre connection to my house. Speed check (OOKLA) gives me a Ping time of 32 ms, 235 Mbits in and 100 Mbits out. My system contains of six speakers, a BOOST and a Playbar. The six speakers (2 each of Play:1, Play:3 and Symfonisk) are grouped into a group. The system runs on ch 1 SONOS net and the rest of my WiFi is on Ch 11. The speakers have been working steady as a rock for at least six months (when i moved from WiFi to SONOS-net) and I haven’t changed anything in the infrastructure at home. This morning I started to get severe drop outs. As I’m writing this I’m only having music in my left Play:3 - group speaker. five sconds ago all speakers were playing. Now all speakers went silent. The sound image is constantly moving and I can’t find out what’s hapening. Hoping for some help here. The whole system (excep for the playbar) have been rebooted two times. Beginning with the BOOST and then moving out.The log
Je voudrais acheter des supports pour enceintes Sonos ... il me manque un code promo ... qui peut m aider ??? Merciiiiii
Hi There,I have a pretty large Sonos network with about 10-12 speakers running from it, and using a Boost. All was well until recently. The boost is connected directly the a Sky Q router (I’m in the UK) and the settings have been unchanged for about 3 years. Used to run Sonos either from my iPhoneX, an iPad Pro, MacBook or iMac, all wirelessly. The boost is connected via ethernet and is the only unit to be connected directly. The Wifi is a 2.4GHZ/5GHZ network running on a Sky Q Mesh so only has one network name. I updated to S2 about 2 months ago when I added 2 further speakers. No problems at all until recently. Mid way through a playlist that was started from the iPhone the system just lost connectivity. All the speakers continued playing, but the phone control no longer worked. Now I have no control from the iPhone, the iPad Pro, or the MacBook, but strangely the iMac still happily controls all the units as it should. I can check the system data using the app on the iMac, but to al
tl;dr: I’ve discovered that anytime my Playbar becomes the coordinator of any group (even a group of one), it tells Harmony to shut down. This isn’t entirely new behavior, it’s been discussed here before: But that thread is nearly a year old, the circumstances are different, and the apparent solution doesn’t apply to me, anyway. My Sonos setup includes a Playbar paired with two Play:1s, another standalone Play:1, two Symfonisks, and an AMP.The Playbar (+ surrounds) is connected via optical to a TCL Roku TV and both are being controlled by a Harmony Hub. This setup has been working flawlessly for over 2 years. Even longer when you disregard the surrounds, which I only added to the PlayBar later. Now suddenly, for the past couple of weeks, I’m experiencing the issue linked above, more or less.If I start the TV activity while the Playbar + surrounds are grouped with my kitchen Symf for playing music, as soon as the Playbar detects audio from the TCL, the Harmony switches off the TV activity
I have Sonus 1. I also have a RUSSOUND system. All connections look intact. This system used to work in 4 rooms until I upgraded to a MACBOOK PRO. The Music library on SONOS is connected. Clicking on “Rooms” on SONOS does not work. How do I connect to the other three rooms the work through RUSSOUND?
Hello hello . After searching and reading a lot and contacting the Sonos support (useless unfortunately), I would like to share here my problem hoping to find a solution.I’ve a Beam and a couple of SYMFONISK for the surround. The system works fine, I can connect and control with my Android phone, my Mac and ever send content with Airplay 2 from my iPad Pro 12.9 2nd gen. The problem is the Sonos S2 on the iPad that cannot see the system. I’ve done all the tips suggested by support with no luck. I’ve all the products with the latest SW update, including iOS 14.1 on the iPad, which I think is the problem. I give all the permission, obviously, included the beautiful Local Network. BUT, every time that I open the app and try to Join an existing system, it gives me a pop up saying that I’ve to grant access to the local network to the app. I press ok, the permission is active and after a couple of seconds of searching, it says that is Impossible to find any Sonos product on the network. About two weeks ago, my sonos S1 stopped working. On multiple devices (android, iOS, mac) the app says that the speakers need an update. However, when we try and update them, it gives “error code 30”. I have spoken with tech support and they had me try various unplugging and resetting. I am unable to directly connect the speakers via an ethernet cable due to where they are located. Is there anything else I can try to get these speakers updated and working again?

Hi, new to the forum, hope that someone can help me with a problem I have with a Move speaker.I have had the Move speaker for around a week. After initially setting it up, it worked perfectly, until it was left for an hour or so and went into hibernation. From then on, the speaker will not connect to the app via wifi unless I carry out a factory reset. Bluetooth works all the time without any problems.I have now had to factory reset the Move on numerous occasions to be able to connect to it via wifi.I am connecting from an iphone x to an Asus 90IG01Z0-BU2000 Wireless Gigabit Router. both the Move and the iphone are definitely on the same wifi connection and I have several other devices running from the wifi that never have any issues. The Move has been updated to the latest firmware and the app gets stuck at the “Searching for nearby products, make sure they’re powered on” stage. There are no other routers running in the house, no mesh or boosters and the speaker is sat 5 feet fr
After a 4 month renovation, we plugged in our Playbar again. It immediately produced a very annoying high pitched sound. A complete reset to factory settings including reinstalling the sonos app did not help.Yesterday I contacted sonos support in The Netherlands via live chat. They sent me an email with ticket number, requesting a video with clearly audible high pitched sound. From the email, it was not clear how and where to submit the video and the email address it was sent from appears to be no longer in use. The high pitched sound from the Playbar is a known problem, but it looks like sonos is not interested in supporting older speakers. Very disappointing and unsustainable.
I saw that this problem happened in the past (Nov) and has been resolved. However, I have tried to have SONOS play amazon music for 3 days now and could not get it to work. Music will play for a couple of seconds then stops with an error message-- “not coded correctly” or “cannot add to list”, or “amazon connection is lost”. I tried several things including re-authorize account and it did not work, May play a song or two then the same error mesg popped. In the meantime, play music on amazon app. seems working. checked and there is no service outage on amazon. Submitted a diagnostic request # 3847523
Hi guys, I'm currently running 2 x play 5s (2nd gen) and 1 sonos sub all at once, I have just purchased a sonos one to add treble to my tv set up but I can't link it all into 1 room, needs to be in a separate room, I use the plays 5x 2 and sub into the TV via an aux. ANY help would be great. Regards Saad
We have had Sonos for a long time. Have a Sonos 1 speaker, a 2nd generation CONNECT and a new SONOS MOVE speaker. We just purchased a new turntable, audio-technica AT-LP120XBT-USB and want to add it to our system. We have had a CONNECT 2ND generation and I was told it is workable with the new S2 Sonos app. Trying to set it up but S2 app not finding my CONNECT, HELP!
Anyone else get the message that sonos not available or can’t connect to Sonos? Will getting the Sonos boost help with this situation?
I have a medium to large setup in my house and have one unit that repeatedly gives me the same issue. It is a sonos amp that I have had for years and it will be playing music and suddenly stops for 10 to 15 seconds before starting where it left off and will not do it again in the session. It’s almost like it is buffering. Once it has done it once it might not do it again for hours. It is wired and it is the only one I have issues with. Internet is strong and I don’t have anything anywhere near it ! Anyone experienced and resolved similar ?
having upgraded to the new sonos s2 app I have a Sonos 1 that simply will not reconnect -factory reset multiple times -add speaker - runs finds speaker -Then final message is the speaker may not appear - if this happens power on and then finish using the system tab -????
Hi there,I’m having issues with multi-room and was curious if anyone can help me?I’ve had a Play:1 and One speaker for some time and received an additional One for Christmas. Since adding the new speaker I am unable to play all three simulatenouly (via the Sonos App & Spotify Connect) The problem seems to be with the older One Speaker in my Dining Room.My set up is as follows:Play:1 (Bathroom) One (Kitchen) *Newest Addtion* One (Dining Room) When I select all three rooms in the app they appear to be connected but my Dining Room doesn’t play any sound. However, as soon as I disconnect one of the three, the Dining Room starts playing again after 5 or so seconds. Same vice-versa - I’ll have the Kitchen and Dining Room synced and then as soon as a re-add the Bathroom, the Dining Room stops after 5 seconds. I have tried Airplay and all 3 work perfectly, but surely this can’t be the only solution? They’re all on the latest update and I’ve factory reset them and the problem still persits.
Bonjour,Lorsque j ‘essaie de connecter mon SUB avec l’application Sonos celle ci se ferme toute seule au moment ou je valide le choix du SUB. Quelque soit le téléphone ou la tabletteApplication Sonos et IPhone a jour
“Recently Played” in the iOS app constantly stops working for me (get error message that “Recently Played information isn’t available right now. Please check back later.”). I’m only able to fix this if I delete the Sonos app and reinstall (nothing else I’ve tried seems to work). But I’m having to delete/reinstall the app about once a day. Anyone have similar issues or have a better long-term fix?
