hi all,I have just switched home broadband to Three’s 5G service. In switching WiFi services to the new setup I have gone through the requested steps but when I plug one of the Sonos One’s into the router via ethernet cable, it simply doesn’t recognise it. I can see it’s connected when I jump into the router settings on my browser (though this happens sporadically).I called support who said I should speak to Three about changing the router settings. This included splitting the channels into both 2.4 and 5Ghz with WPA2 security. I’ve done that now but still nothing.FYI, I have a Playbase and two Ones set up in one room. I have since tried connecting the router to the Playbase as well without any luck.I saw another post about changing the 2Ghz bandwith to 20Mhz and the Channel to 6 (see screenshot) but no dice.Any help would be enormously appreciated!
Hi all,My Move just randomly stops playing music. I have a Beam, a few One G2s and a Boost - they are all working fine. I know the Move and Boost can’t talk to each other. I have an extender which is In Use for my system. Am using Channel 11. The Move sometimes plays and sometimes doesn’t it’s completely random. I can see it on the app, it shows that it is playing music as in the little music bars are going up and down - sorry for my non-tech language but hope you know what I mean!Touch controls on the Move work - if I hit Pause it will Pause the whole system even though music isn’t playing on it. Have submitted diagnostics 1074554245.Any help would be greatly appreciated, I love my Sonos but this is starting to give me the irks. Thanks!Petie
My sonos app is not able to connect with spotify and it says “unable add songs to queue.” In addition, my speakers and amp keep getting disconnected (i.e. I don’t see them on my app.) I don’t want to keep unplugging and replugging in my amps. Rupali
Hi all,I have a Connect:Amp (and Connect & Playbar ) hard wired to the network (along with a couple of Play:1s and a Move all on wifi), yet occasionally the Amp just drops off the App. I have tried with Wifi Enabled and Disabled on the Amp and it doesn’t seem to make any difference. With WiFi on, it was showing a OFDM of 7, so quite weak - despite sitting almost next to a Unifi Access Point but the Amp would appear to drop off the app even with wifi disabled.Any ideas on what to look for to diagnose?ThanksRoss
I bought 2 Sonos AMPS to drive 2 sets of built-in speakers and create a network when we moved to this house. I also bought a PORT to add our CD player to the network. All that works.I then bought a Music Hall Mini preamp ($99) to insert between our Rega RP3 turntable and a used Sonos CONNECT (Gen2) I just bought. Even though the CONNECT is on our network, no sound emanates from the turntable. To test, I swapped out the CD player and plugged the preamp-turntable into the PORT, and still nothing. I may have a preamp/turntable problem, but I am curious if there is something else I may have over-looked in getting the turntable onto my Sonos network.
After recent iOS upgrades (it seems), my Sonos 1 speaker stopped showing up as a choice from my iPhone. I have done no other changes, to my network or the router setup. I did try deleting my Sonos app and reinstalling it. The odd part is that I can still play to my Sonos from my iMac by choosing on the AirPlay drop down.I can also play to my Sonos speaker from the iPhone Sonos app - see below, but no longer as a drop down anymore from the iPhone home screen. In the attached, I am playing music to my Sonos, through the app. but the second attachment, the speaker is not showing, even though the music is actually playing to the speaker from my phone I used to be able to select my Sonos speaker (Name of speaker = “Home”) from the drop down here.
Hi, I have a sonos playbar and the volume has been randomly decreasing on its own , have to go into the app and turn it back up with volume slide control.has been doing it more frequently lately.
My Sonos devices connect to my laptop and one of our 2 phones. When we try to conect to the app on the other phone in our house after the latest app update, it will not see the Sonos system. Specifically, the app gets to the ‘connect to an existing system’ option. when selected, it does not see the Sonos system, although laptop and the other phone do. When the infinity/ play and volume up buttons are pushed as directed, the phona app goes thru ‘conecting to system’ then acknowledges that it is connected to the Sonos system. However, as soon as I press ‘Done’ to progress forward into the app/controller, it takes me back to the screen saying ‘set up a new system / conect to an existing system / learn more about sonos’, and the process repeats. Any guidance on what is making the app loop thru the connection process without ever getting to the controller?
Hey people.Im having a problem with my Apple TV 4K, the problem is that I set up everything perfectly, and everything worked flawless, I’m using 2 Sonos 1 gen2 as tv speakers, and I’m used to start up the Apple TV and my tv, then open the airplay setup, and change from tv speakers to sonos speakers, which are set up as a room, but after 2 days, my sonos setup doesn’t show up in the AirPlay menu anymore🤷🏻♂️ I can’t choose anything in there besides my lousy tv speakers. Does anyone in here have a solution on that, it’s really making me think if this will ever work, I’ve tried to delete the app, reset the speakers and so on, but it doesn’t last for more than a day or two, and they are missing again😢 Heeeellllppp.
I’ve had Sonos for YEARS now. Recently, I feel a little bit after the split of S1 vs S2, I’ve been experiencing an issue where my speakers forget what they were last playing when they were last stopped, as if power had been lost and came back on again. For example, the Sonos One speaker in my bathroom typically is used to play one of several Pandora stations. Over the past several weeks, when I try to resume the speaker, it will just “bee-boop” alerting me that the app will say “No music selected”. So I go into the app (or ask Alexa) to play a Pandora station while I get ready for the day. When I’m finished in the bathroom, I hit the button on the top of speaker to pause the music. The next day when I go back into the bathroom to start the music again...”bee-boop”.Is this an app issue, or a network issue, or something else?Diag: 2137729814
Hi, There is a bopping sound from active sub on Amp while pausing Apple TV playing a movie. Bopping sounds stops immediately when resuming movie playing. Bopping also disappears when muting or turning down the volume in the relevant room, whol Bopping noise stops when turning off sub via Sonos app in the Amp’s room settings.
Issue: I can not listen to two pairs of stereo paired speakers at the same time (one in the bedroom and one in the living room). I purchased my first pair of One SL speakers on 12/01 and got a second pair a few days later on 12/11. First let me say that the One SL as a stereo pair sounds amazing! That is also why this issue is so frustrating. According to the Sonos app on my Galaxy S9+ running Android 10, I have “Living room” and “Main Bedroom” as my speaker target options. Like I have mentioned, I have a pair of One SLs in each room. I have created stereo pairs with both. But this only works if I listen in one room or the other. If I try to select both rooms, I lose stereo pairing in one of the rooms. In some cases, despite what the animated equalizer icon indicates, I lose playback in one of the rooms entirely. If I deselect one of the two rooms, three things tend to happen: 1) Playback resumes (if I lost it) in the remaining room selected 2) whatever track I was listening to starts
Hi,I have an issue regularly (once every 15 days approximately) with my SYMFONISK and my livebox 4 (Orange France ISP). Every Wifi devices are working properly but the SONOS devices are unreachable from my iphone (SE 2020 with latest updates). I have a wifi repeater and several wifi devices in many rooms and they are all working fine. Each time, I have to reboot my livebox 4 in order to connect to my sonos devices again. It is not a big thing but this is these little things that prevent you to enjoy the simplicity of the Sonos environnement should be. Does anyone have some hint on how could I investigate further in order to put the Sonos engineers on the way to solve this issue ?
We have had our Sonos and Spotify Premium for four years, everything was working well. For the last two weeks whenever we try to play music from Spotify through our Sonos we keep getting an error message ‘cannot connect to Sonos. We have uninstalled then reinstalled the apps, updated everything, reset the wifi. But still not connecting. Sonos will only play our radio stations. Any tips or other things to try would be a big help. Thanks
I have a stereo pair of Sonos 1s in my kitchen. Tonight, they weren’t showing on the Sonos App and they failed to connect via Airplay. Alexa was working, so must have been internet connected. I’ve twice reset them and reconnect them ( Amber/White flashing, Green… discovered…. setup… rebooted ) and they’re not appearing. On Airplay, they are ‘unknown room’ but cannot connect What else can I try ? thanks

Have a wired S1 Sonos system running Sonosnet. When playing something on my system and then relaunching the iOS app after a little while to change the track, the app freezes straight away when trying to reconnect and then crashes to the homescreen. Relaunching the app after crashing works.I am still able to control the S1 volume from the iOS homescreen in between these episodes and my CR200 functions perfectly.I have run the Network matrix to have a look at the units and everything seems ok.Changing Sonosnet channel does not help. Grateful for any advice.
I see Sonos community keep closing this topic and brushing it off like it’s normal.Sonos idle without streaming any content is using between 89kbs and 500kbs throughout the day and night. Why is it using this constant data. Add this up and at average usage and that’s 1GB per hour 24GB every 24 hours 720GB a month… Idel! There’s either some redundant bandwidth stealing, CPU usage or bitcoin mining going on with these devices we should be aware of.Thankfully I’ve got a network I can track and set usage routines with, so I’ve cut off this massive data drain from my network when not it use.The more I learn about Sonos and the more I get to use their controlling, overbearing software, the less I like them. With smarter phones, networks and speakers which just do great music, without controlling networks and forcing you to use buggy apps and hardware, hopefully Sonos will be the “midi disc” of their time with a cult following of nerds who’ll always love them, but not because they made music an
Hello i have a sonos play:1 and i think a sonos bridge and have just moved. Nothings working and nothings finding anything? Anyone know what to do? -thanks
My Sonos goes on by itself randomly. I would love to know why.?
So I got a sonus 1 as a gift. Set it up about a year ago and it worked great. Then recently it stopped playing from my iphone app. So I updated the app and still it would not connect. Okay, lets check the set up. So I go through all of the steps to reconnect without success. So I think okay lets go back and reset it. Surely this will work. I go through the process and as I go through the steps it has a problem finding my network. Now I just don’t understand this. I have had no problems with any other technology in my house. My sonus was working a month ago. Nothing has changed. Why all of a sudden is my network not found? To me this is really frustrating. No I did not reboot my router. I did reset the unit and it did find my network. It did attempt to connect but ended up with some problem. What could be the problem? So now I can use it as a wired speaker? That sort of defeats the purpose. Do I give it away? Why will it work any differently elsewhere? Not sure where I go from here but
My problem is sound is cutting in and out from my Line-in to Sonos Port setup. The sound cuts in and out, from left and right stereo and also sounds like a tearing noise or pops. Any ideas on a fix? Here is what I have already tried: changing out cables, changing out preamps, changing compression setting in app, and changing audio delayed settings. I ran a diagnostic and sent it in to Sonos my number is 1024742482. Thanks for the help, hope we can figure this out!
