Amazon Alexa and Sonos

I've just installed Sonos Connect. Added Google Play Music account, Deezer, Last.fm, but Soundcloud and Spotify can't be added: I redirect to webpage where I get notice that I can close page and return to Sonos app, after returning Sonos app show message that I've got an error and service will not be added. Tried from Android, iOS and macOS versions of Sonos app. What's wrong? Please help!

Hi everyone, Amazon just released the new language and also the Echo family on Spain. Alexa is now compatible with Spanish (from Spain), Alexa ahora habla español, when will Sonos update our speakers with the new language?

Using an Echo Dot to control 3 existing Sonos speakers. Have speakers set up as Kitchen / Dining Room and Bedroom Can start and stop music fine 'play blah blah in (or on) Kitchen'. Volume commands, for example 'turn it down in the kitchen' and Alexa responds with 'that command does not work on device kitchen.' I've disabled and re-enabled the Skill to no avail. Am I doing something silly or is it a bug; should I try deleting all the devices and resetting?

I just got a Sonos One, linked my Spotify account on Sonos app, linked the same spotify account on Alexa app and made spotify as default. I can confirm that the spotify account is linked correctly on both Sonos and Alexa. When I say Alexa play music from Spotify, Alexa says to play Spotify first link spotify premium account to the alexa app. Can someone please help

hi guys hope you're all well. My question is easy and straight forward: I'm in Spain and I'd like to know if you've got any clue when we'll finally get the chance to speak with my lovely Cube. I see it there with a lot to say but shut. I'd like to know if there's any way I can make it speak in english at least too.

It's been a few days now since Alexa officially supports Spanish as a language. I live in Spain and I have my setup as if I lived in the UK, but now I am looking forward to migrate everything to the Spanish Alexa site. So far there is no Sonos skill in the Spanish store, so the question is: When is it going to be possible to use Alexa in Spanish (and in Spain) with my Sonos speakers? Thanks in advance.

Does the Sonos One still only support the 'Alexa' wake word, or do we have any new ones?

Apologies if this has been covered already but my Sonos One/Alexa keeps waking up/false triggering while I'm watching TV and it's driving me mad. Whereas others have complained about the mic sensitivity being too low I haven't found this - in fact for me the Sonos One hears me far better better than my Echo and Echo dots ever did and overall I'm loving it. But this issue of Alexa waking up with a loud chirp every few minutes is driving me mad. I've checked the audio files and there's nothing apparent in there that appears to be triggering it - it just seems to be random words with no pattern. My question is are others having the same issue, is there a way to fix it, or do I have a faulty unit?

Is there a way to have Alexa only interrupt the music in the room that she resides? My daughter got a Alexa solo for Christmas and as soon as we hooked it up in her room she began asking it questions nonstop ... ( to be expected) unfortunately every time she asks it a question in her room it interrupts the music throughout the entire house in every zone... this is extremely frustrating when we’re trying to listen to music in the kitchen or out on the porch and the music constantly times out because she is asking Alexa how to spell a word or something in her room. Simple answer to this is to disengage Alexa from the Sonos system altogether however I had already purchased for Sonos ones with Alexa for the other bedrooms in the house... I have not opened the box yet because I do not want this issue to continually happen with my other kids as well... Hi Sonos Community - I recently purchased two Sonos Beams and am liking them a lot, but my house is becoming overwhelmed with Alexa devices. I had opted to turn the Alexa integration off on these two beams through the room settings, but now the ability to add it back is completely gone. I'm thinking of just changing the wake word on my other devices, so I'd like to add Alexa back on both of my Beams if it's possible - but I don't know how! Any recommendations?

I've had my PlayBar along with two Play:1's for a year (almost to the day.) This year, I decided to upgrade my system: a Sub and two Sonos:One's to replace the Play:1's (each of which are in my kids rooms) and moving the Play:1's to use a s rear speakers in a surround setup. My surround is now second to none. It's incredible. I love that I can tweak it, sound is amazing, base is thumping when I need it to be, ambient sound is fantastic (especially gaming!) I made the mistake of confusing everything with a couple of Amazon Echo's (two for one; why not, right?) Alexa seems to add 3 (not 2) devices per Sonos: One. Super annoying and clunky AF. One physical and two virtual devices (because the Echo pairs itself with the Sonos: One's in addition to Alexa built in. So so lame. When will Sonos Voice Services be available in Spain

Added a Sonos One to replace an Echo Dot in the bedroom today, but surprised to find (unless I'm missing something) that Alexa routines don't appear to be supported. I have a 'good night' routine for example that turns off all the lights and responds in a particular way. Within the configuration of the routine, the Sonos One is not available as a speaker from which the routine can be requested. Are Sonos speakers only given limited access to Alexa functionality, or is this forthcoming at some point?

I have had a sonos 1 for around a year with the thought that i would have voice service. I live in the Netherlands, does anyone know if voice services are supported in the Netherlands.

Currently I'm only able to cast to my Sonos One speakers from the Google Music app on Android devices. I can't cast to Sonos from any other apps on Android devices and I can't cast at all from Apple devices. Why hasn't Sonos implemented full Chromecast standard and full functionality of the cast feature from the many apps and devices that support casting? Seems like a user unfriendly thing to do. Will Sonos implement full Chromecast compatibility with the coming Google Assistant update? The Google Assistant update can't come soon enough. Hi, I tried play song using voice command " Alexa! play coldplay song from spotiy'. It says shuffling song from spotify but doesn't play anything. I have submitted diagnostic with ref number 1547443961. Thanks

Just got the sonas one and having issues with the alexa voice control and spotify. I have a premium spotify account got the alexa app sonas and spotify i have linked them all up and everytime i ask alexa to play music the response is "your spotify account does not support streaming on this device" its so frustrating im about to chuck it out the window! Or send it back any clues anyone ? If i use by manually playing music in spoifty it works perfectly. My understanding was tge voice control was updated as at 22nd Nov ?

I have recently purchased a Play 1 and set up according to instructions. Everything works ok apart from when I ask Alexa to play radio or spotify she says 'Playing...from spotify' or 'Playing BBC radio one' and then nothing. Both theses fibroids functions work through the Sonos app but not through voice commands. Please can you help

Hello. Just bought 2 Sonos One. I am trying to connect them with Alexa app, but when I reach the point where Alexa is searching for Sonos devices the search fails. Is it possible to make it happen in Greece? In Sonos app, when I tap on the "Voice Services" button, I get a message that this service is not available in my country. Is this the reason that I cannot connect Alexa with my "ones" ? Any advice/solution???

I have three Sonos rooms setup and a configuration with Alexa. For some reason 2 of the three rooms have disappeared from my Sonos App. I can stil play through Alexa, but only Alexa.

Hey, I suspect that commercial issues might prevent this, given the Apple and Amazon mix, but can you confirm whether there are any plans to extend the Alexa functionality to have Apple Music as a default library? I know I can start Apple Music using the app, but I wonder whether it will be possible to set it as the default streaming service in the Sonos Alexa skill in future? Great job with the app btw!

I have just purchased two Sonos one , having previously owned an Homepod - while the sound of the two ones combined is indeed better than the Homepod , I am VERY disappointed with the responsiveness. It is like Alexa cannot hear me when I have the music on.. we seriously have to shout to get hurt when the music is at half volume... the homepod would pick our voices up from another room... Is this something that will be improved overtime ? Is anyone else having the same problem?

trying to sort out Alexa, again. Not having any luck. She wouldn't play my music so on fiddling I spotted I had my sonos one registered with her twice. so deleted one of them. I only have one device. So now not sure if that linked but when I say 'Alexa' her voice has changed to another American accent and she says 'sorry I am having trouble understanding right now, try a little later..' WHY!?? I now cant get her to work at all. help pls. I have two little boys who want to use her she was a bday present.

Now that Alexa is available in Spain I am trying to set up Alexa with Sonos skill but the skill does not appear in the app when searching for it. Not sure if this is a problem with Sonos, Amazon or what. Any workardound even if it means to use Alexa in english? Thanks
