Hello Sonos lovers. I am planning to buy a mixer to play karaoke in my garage tv. My setup right know is a Samsung TV connected to a Sonos amp through HDMI arc. TV sound is coming through a pair of in ceiling speakers, using tv apps and a Chromecast. Can I connect a mixer using the tv optical out - mixer optical in - mixer analog out - Sonos amp line in?If so, will the arc and line in work simultaneously?Thanks 

I currently have a Sonos system covering five rooms plus a Port. All are connected using my Mesh wifi system based on a Fritz router and Fritz Mesh extenders. The system works reasonably well apart from synchronisation of rooms which will randomly drop out (either all or one of the rooms dropping). In our previous bigger house most rooms were wired leaving a few outlying rooms using Sonosnet; this arrangement was far more reliable. Unfortunately running cables in our new house would be highly disruptive and domestically unacceptable.So having viewed various of the postings in these forums I have decided to purchase a Boost, which is the only thing that can be conveniently wired to my router, and move to a Sonosnet system. I am looking for guidance on how to do this. Specifically I am thinking of wiring one of my more portable speakers to the router and having powered off the other rooms I would, once the wired unit was up and running, power the other units up and hope they pick up the

I recently connected my att finer optic wifi to an eero pro 6 mesh network. I've turned off the wifi from the att router and connected my boost directly to the eero. When I open the sonos app, it no longer shows any of my system. All I see is the boost, a single five, and a single one. I'm missing my beam, arc, two subs, two on sl's, and another five. I've rebooted the router, tried unplugging amd restarting the speakers and I still get nothing. Is there any way to fix this or do I need to get rid of the mesh network? I worked beautifully prior to this. 

My setup: Samsung TV (QN90A) / sonos arc with sub gen 3 / Sonos in wall rear speaker Problem:Hey team I recently purchased the newest Apple TV 4K that just got released. Originally I was just using the TV apps (Disney +, Amazon, etc) and would watch content (if supported) in dolby Atmos, dolby digital 5.1, stereo, etc etc. I received the Apple TV 4K and only two options for audio are Dolby Atmos ON and change format. If I change the format then I lose Dolby Atmos (turns it off) and can listen to dolby digital 5.1 content (shows correctly on Sonos app) But if I have dolby Atmos ON then ALL audio (stereo, dolby digital 5.1, etc) goes to stereo PCM regardless of it being Dolby digital 5.1, 2.0, etc. but dolby Atmos will work for supported content.  This is very puzzling as I have Dolby Atmos on but anytime I watch a movie that’s not Dolby Atmos supported it says Stereo PCM and I don’t know if it’s just a cosmetic issue with the app and it’s actually doing dolby digital 5.1 but just showin

I have a Fortigate Firewall with a 8 ports switch and 3 Forti Accesspoints. My access points are configured in a separate native vlan (management). I have configured 2 SSID, one for IoT and a normal SSID voor users, with 2 seperate vlans.The sonos boxes are in the user wifi network as is my phone. I can connect and link everything in the sonos app, so far no problems. However, now I want to link my sub to the arc then this is impossible. Tried every setting but no luck. Anyone suggestions 

Just got system up and running last week (Arc, subwoofer, two SL rear speakers).   I had to reroute power cord on Arc last week and lost all connectivity.  30 minutes later, after a call with support, had to power off/on everything.   All is fine for 3 days.  Today, my Sonos app on my phone can’t communicate with anything.   Worked fine two days ago.   Having to power cycle everything again.   This is not good engineering.   If I have to power down all components on a weekly basis, I need to return this and buy something else.  Suggestions?

(partie restaurant).2 autres enceintes murales filaire relié au même Sonos Amp (partie bar)une box internetmes questions sont comment relié le tout pour qu'avec les 2 boitiers one connect je puisse n'avoir qu'une seul source tv?Ce que je souhaite est de relié les 2 tv ensemble pour avoir la même image en même temps (même source Hdmi). I have a playbar connected to my Samsung tv using an optical cable, I have since paired a sup wirelessly to the playBar and I use the tv remote to control the volume of the playbar and sub. I have just added 2x architectural ceiling speakers to the same room and connected them to the amp. I went through the setup process but it kept kicking me out the app on my iOS device. I managed to get it visible on the app and manually grouped the amp to the already grouped playbar and sub. The issue I’m having is that the amp will leave the group if the tv is off for a period of time, so I go on the app and add it to the group again, secondly if I change the volume on using the tv remote it only controls the playbar and sub and does not alter the ceiling speakers.I tried connecting the amp to the HDMI port but that made the playbar stop being controlled by the tv remote and didn’t seem to be any better. is there a better way to connect all these components? I have 2 SONOS Play:5 speakers and want to play music from an external input. I am not connected to WIFI or router so I have 1 speaker playing external input but how can I transmit the audio also to the second speaker ? Can I do this by connecting 2nd speaker with 1st one by using network cable (and still ignore connecting to WIFI or router) ?  If 1. is not possible then I can add the speakers to the WIFI but it is a bit annoying if I am back home that I need to configure them back in my home WIFI. Are the speakers capable in remembering two different WIFI networks ? How do I manage this ?Thanks for feedback. Rudi

i recently installed a mesh tp-link to my home network. I have connected the  sonos boost ,playbar, one, one sl to the new mesh wifi network. It works fine for a few days then most all sonos products drop off and only the playbar remains.  I’ve gone through re setting up to the new mesh network at least 5 times , it all woks for bit then drops off products over time.  Any help appreciated, should I disconnect boost? and just use the new tp-link is that the cause of the sporadic dropping of products ?  

I was in chat with Sonos today trying to trouble shoot my loss of connection of S2 app.  I had 2 systems running, S1 app for older products and Sonos (S2) app for newer.  S1 is connected via hard wire.  S2 was not.  S2 stopped working.  Rep said Verizon Fios router blocks Sonos and that I would need to hardwire a sonos product to the router.  Does anyone else have Fios and have connection issues?  Would love to hear before I spend more hours with another company.  Thanks 

I currently am using my Sonos Port to stream music.  Connection is rca cables from Line Out jacks on the PORT to preamp into the Tuner input jacks.  When I need to stream music I set my preamp to TUNER and use the Sonos 2 app and select my service (Pandora) from the opening list of options.   I have a Planer 2 turntable without a preamp and was hoping to simply use the Sonos Port Line In jacks for the turn table but that does not work.  If I connect the turn table directly to my preamp first, as suggested by Sonos staff,  I have to switch the output to TURN TABLE on my preamp, which effectively bypasses the Sonos Port functionality.  This seems like a death spiral to me.  Can anyone help?

 Curious if you use a Netgear Nighthawk router, do you use and have the Smart Connect option turned on? 

I started using Ubiquiti Unifi Network Products (1xRouter, 1xSwitch, 2xAccess Points) in my Environment for Security reasons the Sonos Products were moved to a separate VLAN (IoT), since then I have problems controlling the Equipment.My Sonos system is working well and reliably in a VLAN (IoT) when the Controller (Android or Windows) is one the same LAN (IoT).When I move my controller devices to the Main LAN, then for the most of the time the Sonos cannot be controlled from the main LAN via Android or Windows. It works one some devices and not on others.At the moment I am controling the speakers with temporarily moving to IOT network to control SONOS, but that will get old quick. I shouldn’t have to redo my entire firewall config, and risk security, just to make these devices work. There are some strange Problems when the controller is on the Main LAN, see below:It works on:-Android OnePlus 10 device (latest versions of Android and Controller App)It does NOT work on:-Android Google Pix

Not sure of this has been asked already.My set up Sonos Beam Gen 2, Sub Gen 3 and pair of One SLPC Windows 11 - Ultrawide monitor. I want to connect my RTX 3090 GPU HDMI to HD Fury Arcana HDMI 2.1 HDMI-in and the Sonos Beam Gen 2 to EARC-out, but not connect the other HDMI-out to any display as I will be using the display port from my GPU connected directly to an ultra wide monitor. Will the sonos beam work in this set up without a display by using a Nvidia control panel to select HDMI audio only My goal is to be able to play games in Dolby Atmos with Dolby Access software from the Microsoft Store. 

Working with a large system consisting of 16 x Sonos Ports feeding a Symetrix Audio System with automatic signal sensing, whereby the Symetrix switches over to Sonos when it detects a signal coming out of the phono output. Has worked perfectly fine for the last 18 months then started playing up around the end of September.Managed to properly troubleshoot today and worked out that the Sonos is outputting a momentary signal exactly two minutes after the Port is paused/stopped but I’m also suspicious that it’s sending out this same signal at other random times as the client has reported the Symetrix switching sporadically for the last 5 weeks. Have a feeling this is down to the Idle/Eco mode  that was advertised as being rolled out on all Sonos products in 2022 but just wondering why it outputs a signal when going into idle mode and if there’s any way around this?From other posts I’m led to believe that it isn’t possible to disable Idle Mode so wondering how I’m going to fix this without

Need some clarity. Setting up a new TV and Sonos system. ARC soundbar + AMP driving 4 in-ceiling speakers (setup as pairs of L/R rears)How do I connect these without a router? The ARC is going to the eHDMI input on the TV. How do I connect the AMP? Can that go to the Optical input on the TV using the Sonos HDMI to Optical converter?

Can anyone recommend a good HDMI Arc over Ethernet extender?I want to go from the TV to the Sonos Amp via Ethernet and have it work well. It looks like alot of the HDMI extenders don’t support ARC.

Hello Sonos Community!I’m reaching out as I’m having a tough time setting up the Sonos system in my house. Here is my setup:WiFi Network: Eero Mesh (version 6.11) setup with one Router downstairs and one identical Router upstairs under a Single network name.Sonos system:Downstairs: Sonos Beam Gen2 + 1 Sonos SL speaker which is wired to Eeros router and accessible on the Sonos S2 app Upstairs: Sonos Arc + 1 Sub + 2 Speakers upstairs which is not wired, but connected over WiFi to the Eero WiFi network. Here is the issues (using the current S2 app)When I’m downstairs, I can see the Beam + SL speaker. When I go upstairs, I need to disconnect WiFi and connect to nearest Eero router where it shows the Upstairs setup alone. Now when I come down, whatever I do I can not access the Beam + SL Speaker. I end up reseting and adding them all again.Very frustrating experience of using Sonos on Eero. I’ve googled enough and checked forums. I must be doing something silly in my Eero setup or Sonos set

Hi all! I would like to know how I can connect my play 5 speakers to my new LG TV wirelessly. I am prepared to buy whatever other equipment I need to make this possible but I dont what would be the best option… does anyone know? I could buy a playbar and just use that, but I would like to find a way to get proper stereo and use the speakers I currently own. Line in is not an option due to the room setup. Hi,I have a sonos S1 system using a bridge and Sonosnet.In my kitchen I have a Hive heating box plugged into the ethernet on my Sonos Play 5 using the network bridging facility.Will this continue to work if I move away from Sonosnet and use WIFI instead? Thanks!

Hi all.  I’m moving into a new home and id like to keep my existing setup (turntable to preamp to CXA81) and add a sonos system to it.  My thought was adding a Sonos amp connected to the preamp out of the CXA81.  That would theoretically allow me to play my existing system as is or purchase sonos speakers to stream throughout my house.  Am I correct here?  Thanks in advance.

Hello,I have a network setup, where I have a Zyxel modem connected to the ISP, with 2 WiFi APs connected in LAN ports, and an ethernet switch connected to a LAN port directly in the modem as well. The ethernet switch connects the rest of the wired devices in the house. When I wire my Sonos Beam, it creates the SonosNet mesh and the rest of the speakers connects to this, everything looks fine. After the Sonos has been connected and everything is set up, random disconnects starts happening on my network. Every device connected through the switch loses connectivity to the modem. The devices connected through the switch still has connectivity between them, but the modem seems to have dropped off the network. The WiFi APs are still online with connection to the internet though, so I know the modem is still online. And the switch is working since the devices connected can still ping other devices on the IP they had before the modem dropped. When I remove the ethernet cable from the Sonos Bea

Hi,  I use Synology Drive to mirror my MacBook music folder on my NAS - this folder includes both /iTunes Media/Music where all my music is stored and Previous iTunes Libraries/Custom Music Library.musiclibrary (where I think playlists, ratings etc are stored).I can access the music fine through the Sonos app, but the playlists don’t show up. Does anyone have suggestions on how to get them to show up?
