Hi Sonos community, i am wondering what would be best for a 35sqm leaving room between the two options :Sonos beam + 2 five + 1 sub Sonos arc + 2 one + 1 sub my preliminary use will be TV (Samsung the frame with HDMI arc - no earc) but also listening musique with friendsvery happy to have your view on thatBest,
Hi, I have a Sonos playbar, Sonos Sub, and two Sonos One’s for rear surrounds. I would like to add a nice pair of floorstanding speakers (Monitor Audio Silver 500s) so I’m thinking about buying the amp. Does this still give me a 5.1 set-up. I’ve heard if I add the amp, then the playbar centre speaker doesnt work ?
Hi I have 2 Sonos 5 and I want to use them with my TV instead of buying a sound bar. Will the Sonos Port be the best option (more cost effective) to achieve this? Thanks
Hi,I have a rather long room, with a TV on one end. I want to use an Arc for TV sound, but I feel it would need some extra speakers at the rear of the room to boost volume at that end of the room. There are actually two ceiling speakers at the rear end I could use.I’m not that interested in Dolby Atmos or Surround, I just want clear sound from the TV from the Arc at the front and the ceiling at the back. How would I accomplish that? Something like this - Arc direct to TV, Amp powering the ceiling speakers and somehow combine them in the software? Thanks,Eric
I am torn what to buy. I am going to buy a Sonos system because I like the wireless option of it and Dolby Atmos. I have a medium size basement, my main priority for it is home theater for my 85 inch TV, but I also want it to be able to play good music the odd time. I want the best of the best. Do I go with the Arc, 2 subs, and 2 1's OR do I go with the Arc, 2 subs, and 2 fives? Home theater is the priority but music is important to me from time to time as well. What would you do and why? Will the fives take away from the home theater experience of it?
Ok so I've found and bought a Sonos Connect that's compatible with S2 (serial begins with 1607).Now to get some outdoor speakers. I don't have an existing system, so no amplifier to connect to. I want to do this on a budget at the moment so what's the best option? I thought I could get a pair of 'active' outdoor speakers as these have a built in amplifier. In theory they can be connected directly to the Connect right?
Hello, I am planning to buy a 77-inch lg oled cx television. Has anyone had problems with this model? atmos is heard without problems? what I watch the most is Netflix, amazon and Hbo. It is a strong investment and I don't know whether to wait for the 2021 model. Thanks for the help

Hey All,#I have Sonos-5 speaker and a Project Turntable with built-in pre-amp.The speaker and turntable are on opposite sides of the room and was wondering what bit of Sonos kit do i need to send the sound to the speaker via wifi? Can I plug the turntable into the Sonos Amp or Connect and stream to the speaker and if yes which is better out of the two?Cheers
First off, I'm fairly tech savvy all around, but definitely lacking when it comes to audio. I bought a new house that has a fairly robust Sonos system (detailed below). Due to the lack of dialogue support from the multichannel surround speakers, I'm looking to add a center channel. I understand why you wouldn't add a soundbar to a surround sound system, but I don't know if the same holds true for Sonos and the Arc. Basically, can I get the Arc or do I need to get a dedicated center speaker?Marantz SR6014 receiverSonos Connect for poolside Sonance 8 speaker system, no sub, Sonance multichannel ampSonos Connect for courtyard 2 speaker system (not Sonos speakers), Sonance multichannel ampSonos Connect for 6 in-ceiling Sonance surround speakers in living roomSonos Connect for 2 in-ceiling Sonance surround speakers in kitchen (directly behind living room)Play 5 (speaker we move from room to room when wanted for musicSub (not Sonos and can't remember if 10 or 12 inch)When I moved in, I had t
I have a beam and 2 Sonos one’s, all used with my tv.I want to add a Technics SL1200 turntable, they don’t have a pre amp built in.can anyone suggest the best way to add this turntable to my Sonos set up?ive just bought a Sonos 5 thinking I could connect the turntable straight to it, then found out after that I need a turntable with a pre amp.I don’t want to start buying too much else as it works out expensive. I can take the Sonos 5 back and get a refund, as it’s still boxed.many thanks.
Hello Sonos community,Please forgive me if this question has been covered already. I haven’t found an answer that covers my needs.I have the following setup: one Play:1 in bedroom, another one in bathroom, and a stereo pair of Play:3 in the living room. I’m very satisfied by this setup for a while but i wish to use AirPlay now.I understand i have 2 options:Replace at least one speaker per room that is AirPlay2-capable Add a Sonos Port to this setupOption 1 is costly just for AirPlay, at least 1k€ since i would have to buy at least two Play One and one Play:5Option 2 would cost half of it but i understand the Port will only allow one stream to one room or group at a timeCould you please help me confirm my analysis or point any option i forgot? Thanks
I have a pair of Play 1's, Sonos 3 and I've just bought a Sonos Beam to create a surround system with the two Play 1's. I want to add two outdoor speakers (not purchased yet) for two different patios. These speakers I want to use for ambience so I won't need anything high powered. I've seen a ZP90 second hand and wondered if it is worth buying. I don't currently have any other sound system apart from the Sonos I've listed. I thought to buy a mini amplifier from Aliexpress for the two outdoor speakers. My question; is the ZP90 worth buying? Should I instead look at a newer Connect? I see both the ZP90 and Connect aren't supported with the S2 app. Would this mean I would need to use S1 app for the outdoor speakers and S2 for the rest of my system?I don't really want to splash out for the newest Sonos Amp as I don't have a current system and only want it for the outdoor speakers. What are my options? Thanks in advance
I want to avoid buying a Sonos Sub. I currently have 2 play one gen 1 and a playbar. If I add 2 sonos fives will it be the same as adding a sub?
Hello, This is my first post here. I recently bought a new TV, 65” Sony A8H OLED. It’s my understanding that it supports Dolby ATMOS; however, the Beam does not.Does that mean that I have to upgrade to the Sonos Arc? What to do with the Beam? (I don’t have another TV) So far the TV sound has been great, compared with my previous less sophisticated TV. I apologize for my lack of knowledge!Cheers,
Can I use three of my upgrades together to buy a surround sound package...I have two 30% and one 15% so can I combine them to have 75% off
I have a rega plannar 2 record player connected to a Play 5 (which is plugged into via line in), an Arc (which is plugged into my TV) and 2 x Sonos One SLs. I want to purchase a CD player and connect it to my set up (I have lots of CDs); however, I'm not sure of the best way to do this, particularly as the line in on my Play 5 is already in use. Please could someone advise me on the best way to approach this? Additionally, any recommendations on the best CD player to buy is also much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Have a Sonos Beam and Sub that I used in a second home. Consolidating homes...can I use the Beam (and maybe the sub) as a wired speaker in my current surround setup? Is it as simple as Ethernet to xlr adapter? All my other speakers are powered and I am looking to use the Beam as either a front center channel or rear surround. System is a 5.1.2 Atmos controlled by Monolith HTP-1.Appreciate any advice and direction...thx!
Hi, I’m new to the community and looking for a bit of advice. I’m looking to buy a Sonos vinyl player. What do I need to get it to play through my playbar and play 1 which I have in multiple rooms.
Atmos aside...Does the Arc sound better than the playbar for Dolby Digital 5.1 content?
Main Question:We are looking at moving to getting a sonos ecosystem for our bedroom/bath/balcony but have concerns about grouping. We are looking for a flexible setup. Dear Sonos, I m looking for getting an ambient sound with some solid mellow (ambient) bass in the open plan room of my house which is 12.5 m * 4.5 m. The feeling and sound of ambient is as if the sound is not coming from a particular speaker but rather from the room as a whole. Another example is as if you are in a summer open air club which is not crowded and so many speakers working at the same time playing some lo-fi music. I will not be listening only to lo-fi but all kinds of musicIn the open plan room, a kitchen, dining table, and living room in this particular order are included.I am considering purchasing 4 play one’s and mounting them on top of the walls in the four corners. How does this purchase sound and will it provide the sound i m looking for?ThanksGeorge
I have tried to return my Sonos bridge which I upgraded but carrier brought it back
