Voice control and smart home

I ask Alexa to start a radio and she tells me that she is starting it but nothing happens even though it was working correctly the day before yesterday. Does anyone have an idea?

When I ask “Hey google play abc on Youtube Music” it replies “Sure playing abc on YT music” but then puts on a completely different song. Sometimes it will get the artist or album right, but never the song.

Hello,it would be great if I could disable/enable surround directly with Alexa.Surround could be annoying when children are watching tv while we have breakfast.… if not maybe a shortcut with iOS?thanks

Hey gents,I own a lot of Sonos products, i have stopped counting. We, our familie have always loved these products. But today, we did somthing we should have done a long time ago. We disabled the build-in Google Assistant in all our Sonos products, and put up a Google mini and set the speakers with the disabled Google Assistant as the default speaker. So thank for the extra power consumption and the extra taken power-outleds in these harsh climat and green times….. But! This has brought peace and balance into the entire house again. Everything works perfect with this setup.And i don´t care what and who says this is a Google issue, or Sonos issue. This product was put on the marked with a build-in assistant that Sonos choose, so the complaint goes to Sonos.This functionality worked perfect some years ago, slowly it degraded with from understading slobby voice commands, to you must have a masters degree in correct linguistic. A very short example could be to tell it to play music: “Ok go

I am curious if anyone else is experiencing this.  When I ask Google Assistant to play the radio station WXXI she repeats the action but replaces the “WXXI” with “WXC”.  The correct station actually plays so it is not a real big issue, it’s just weird.  My kitchen speaker does it every time while my basement and bedroom speakers do it maybe 30-40% of the time.  All other voice control actions are repeated correctly.  I have had the speakers for about 4 years and this started about 6 - 9 months ago I think.

I currently control my Sonos features through voice commands to Alexa, which then sends triggers to IFTTT, which then controls Sonos.  Looks like Alexa is dropping IFTTT at the end of Oct 2023.  Does anyone have any good suggestions for a good fix for this?

I cant conect with alexa on sonos beam gen 1, how can I resolve this problem?  

Is there a way to set the assistants volume (Alexa) at an independent base level that doesn’t change with the arcs volume.  The assistants volume is always too high or too low.

Hi!I've enabled Alexa in my new Era 100 and Move 2 and I have a feature change request.I've been testing some commands and I've seen that the volume increment/decrement modifies the volume value in 10 points.I think it would be useful that the volume increment would be lower, for example 5 points, in order to have more control in the volume change. Sometimes 10 points is too much depending the song.I hope you could analyze this changes.

I changed internet providers and now Alexa won't connect to Pandora or Audacy

So over the last year Google Assistance on sonos (regarding spotify in particular) has been pretty buggy.. now it's completely useless. The response to any/every question I ask now, mainly regarding spotify, is "I'm sorry, I dont know how to help with that" I have 3 other google devices, if I ask them to play spotify on the sonos, no problem, works perfectly. Any way to fix this? Pretty frustrating that the $50 google speaker works flawlessly compared to this $600+ speaker

Hi Had the Arc (and Alexa) working fine for a few months now. Noticed today that Alexa isn’t functioning properly. Ie, says ok if you ask it to to turn tv off/on, but it doesn’t carry out the task.  I’ve removed and r enabled Alexa from the Sonia app. Also confirmed Arc still listed in Bravia sync list.Is there anything else I should try?  Thanks

OK MAIS, si je reviens et j’allume le salon par exemple et si je dis “Alexa, Bonne nuit” de nouveau pour éteindre les lumières, la TV se rallume.J’avoue je suis à court d’idées… par avance merci pour votre aide.

I have an Alexa Show 5 in my kitchen and a Sonos Beam in my bedroom.  Several times, although not every time, when I say to the Alexa, “Play WFCR”.  It will play it on the Sonos Beam in my bedroom. I do not want it to do that unless I specifically tell it to do that.  (For example, I want to listen in the kitchen while my wife is still asleep.)BTW, the Alexa in the kitchen will respond “Playing WFCR on Sonos Bedroom.”  So, I know it is the guilty party here.I do not have any groups. The rooms are not the same.How can I prevent this from happening?

Yonomi has now sunsetted. I was using that app to group all of my speakers in the middle of the night prior to my morning alarm going off. My alarm is a radio station and I want to hear it in the whole house as I get ready in the morning. I have looked at IFTTT and it doesn’t look like that is possible. I have also looked at Apple shortcuts but that isn’t possible. I have Apple products only, no android. I have Alexa as well as Google at home. Any suggestions??? It is just maddening that Sonos hasn’t made this possible yet!!!

Fyi at some point I could no longer ask my Alexa Dot to “Play Some Music” with it then playing on my preferred Sonos speaker. To be clear I am not referring to commanding the built-in Alexa on the Sonos speaker itself. I am commanding the Alexa Dot with my music choice which is then being re-routed to the preferred Sonos speaker (as to avoid listening to music on the small anemic speaker inside the Alexa Dot).First step in troubleshooting this issue: I confirmed all Sonos speakers were working as they should via the Sonos app.In the Sonos app I also confirmed that the particular Sonos speaker I wanted to integrate with my Alexa Dot was indeed logged into the same Alexa/Amazon Voice Assistant Account as the associated Alexa Dot (not sure if this is necessary or not).I then went through the current list of Devices in the Alexa app and deleted/trashed all existing Sonos speakers.I then disabled the Sonos skill in the Alexa app.I then re-enabled the Sonos skill in the Alexa app. This in tu

New here. I have two rooms set up (one has a single Sonos One, other has a Sonos Move and Beam). Whenever I tell Alexa on the One to play a song on Amazon Music, it plays on the One and the Beam simultaneously. I’ve been looking around trying to figure out why and I’m drawing a blank. I don’t have any multi room setups, I’ve enabled and disabled the Alexa skill multiple times and it just keeps doing it. Any advice on this would be great

It's one thing that Google Assistant is missing, but the fact is Sonos Voice is rubbish. I asked Sonos "Hey Sonos, play [Song] by [Artist] everywhere" and it said it doesn't understand. Yet in the app, you can choose to play a song 'everywhere'. It also doesn't understand "Hey Sonos, play LBC radio". Also no Spotify control with Sonos Voice. Come on Sonos, I know you’re in dispute with Google, but their assistant is so much better. You’ve got to implement this ASAP for the Era range, the current voice assistant is unusable! 

I have 6 Sonos speakers in 4 different rooms as well as 2 units outside that I use to listen to the TV playing in the living room. After turning on the TV, I have to go the Sonos app and click on "Everywhere" in order to activate all the speakers. Each speaker is set to the volume that is best used in that space. For years after my Sonos was installed, I could tell Alexa to change the volume on the Sonos in the room I was in, and as long as the other speakers did not hear the command, they did not change volume. A while ago, after working with Sonos techs on an unrelated problem, I was no longer able to do this. When I tell Alexa to change the volume in one room, it changes all the speakers. If I am washing dishes and want to quickly change volume to hear something, I now have to dry my hands, go find my phone, open the app, get to the right location, and manually change that speaker's individual volume. Hi All...hope there’s some help out there.I have had Sonos Play, moved away for a while, but back now with Era100 and Deezer as my subscribed streaming service. I have Sonos voice control (SVC) activated. SVC recognises and plays, say, The Ink Spots but will not recognise and play Slim Whitman. This is one example, there are many - it will not find Shostakovich Romance The Gadfly or Opus 97a - none of these trigger a response through Deezer, even though I have manually found the music I wanted through these keywords in the app search, and played them. What gives with this? I have a perfectly well rounded English voice, with no regional accent and am speaking clearly and close enough. I can elicit a response for Goldfrapp, Orbital, The Ink Spots etc, but not, it seems, the more rarely requested? I’m in the US and own a sonos move. I’ve been trying to enable Alexa on the app, but it isn’t even offered as an option. No google assistants either. The only thing that shows is the Sonos voice assistant.Any ideas would be appreciated 

When will Sonos Voice Control work ok with Youtube Music? I want to speak to my Sonos Roam in the bathroom. Giving commands like «play something from Nirvana», «play relaxing music».Not able to do this. I can’t believe it! Please fix this already.When will Sonos get this basic functionality?
