Sonos One won't play podcasts

Alexa says that she is going to play the podcast and she even describes what it is about, but then nothing plays. I've enabled the podcast player and the anypod skills, but neither one works.

What is the procedure to rename Sonos One and update Alexa as well?

I have added a Sonos One to my Sonos network and integrated with Alexa that all went OK. Now I want to rename my Sonos One. That is easy enough to do with the Sonos but what do I have to do to update Alexa? Just rename in with the Alexa app? Thanks

Alexa w/Windows 10

I did a search and can't find an app for Alexa on W10. Is there one? If so, can someone provide a link. Assuming there is one and I get it loaded will I be able to give a voice command to tune in my various internet stations, including Pandora?Thanks. Also, on the W10 Sonus app where is the Favorites list? I have created three internet radio station favorites but I can't find the favorites list anywhere.

alexa doesn't understand

i deregistered my sons one from amazon and was unable to register my sonos. when i talk to alexa she says, "sorry, i'm having trouble understanding right now. try back later. how do i correct this problem?

New sonos one with alexa won't connect to Amazon or Iheart

Got the Sonos speaker with Alexa and everything set up fine except for when I go to add music services from Amazon or iHeartRadio it will not connect .Each screen goes through successfully and it said it worked but when I go back to the sonos app it says there is a communication error and it could not be set up .anyone else having this problem?

Can Alexa be disabled and echo dot used on Sonos One?

If I bought a Sonos One and I decided I didn't like the Alexa integration on it, can I plug my echo dot in it and use it just like a Play 1?

When Spotify on Alexa

When will Spotify work through Sonos via Alexa, I don't want to hear "Soon" or "by the end of the year" or anything similar I want an official, exact date and having read all the infuriated posts I don't think it's an unreasonable question.

Echo Dot as a Sonos room

Have multiple sonos components. Recently bought a Sonos one and addes it with Alexa. Working fine and Sinos sees where it is as a room. Just bought an echo dot and added it via alexa app and it controls Sonos speakers fine. Alexa app sees all including echo dot but Sonos app doesnt see echo dot. I didnt try to add it to Sonos as you do a Sonos component. Is it just that it cannot be controlled by the sonos app itself?

Alexa has stopped playing music on Sonos One

Ok, so new to sonos. 2 days ago I received my play one. Set up with no issue (although a completely ridiculous process) and everything working as expected and Alexa was happily playing music from amazon music Today, it stopped. Alexa does everything else like controlling my hue lights but when playing music it now says that it’s playing and nothing happens. The strange thing is that when I first set it up it behaved more like an echo with Alexa announcing ‘now playing...’ but the. It changed to ‘now playing ... on living room’ like it is controlling a separate device. The group that the sonos is in is called living room (only 1 speaker) but now in the Alexa app I see ‘james’ Sonos One’ and ‘living room’ under settings with only the one showing as online. Does anyone know of a solution to this. Super frustrated given that I was set to continue my relationship with echo and buy another echo for the living room but thought I’d take punt on this instead as the audio quality is so

Sonos not responding - Alexa App

I setup the new Alexa beta and everything linked properly. I restarted speakers so everything should be all set. But when I try and start Sonos initially, Alexa tells me that "XX room is not responding". If I go directly to the Sonos app and start the player that way, I can get Alexa to at least recongnize the player. The issue I am having at this point is if I say "alexa, play "fill in the blank" in XX room", alexa will respond that it will play it but the sonos player will just resume whatever I manually started. I can't get it to change music at all. All I get is the ability to start whatever I was last playing. Hope this makes sense. I know the beta is only 5 minutes old but hoping someone can help!

Sonos One Alexa skill language problems

Hello! I got my Sonos One speaker this morning and went through the setup process. The initial speaker setup went smooth and as usual. When I tried to activate Alexa however, I was able to complete the first two steps with my German Amazon account. However, I couldn't successfully add the Sonos skill. The Alexa app prompted me to change the language of the skills to German via a link. This link leads to the setting screen inside the same app where no such setting can be found. Because I was stuck, I tried to reset everything and try it once more. Therefore I then went to the German Amazon Website and deregistered the Speaker from the devices list where Amazon keeps record of Kindles, Echo devices and more. Now I am stuck in the skill activation screen (third step) and Sonos doesn't seem to register that my device is no longer associated with my Amazon account.

Can Alexa control My Music Library stored in iTunes?

I have a very large CD collection built up over many years. I have no interest in contemporary music and do not subscribe to a streaming service so need Alexa to control music stored in my iTunes library. Can Alexa control this?

Alexa unable to control Spotify on Play 1

I’m using an Echo Dot with a couple of Sonos Play 1’s, I cant however get Alexa to play Spotify on my Play 1’s. Alexa just returns “Spotify is not supported on this device” If I start my Spotify stream from the Sonos or Spotify App then Alexa can control volume and track but I can’t control by artist, album or playlist Should this work or is it just a case of waiting for a Sonos update?

I’m not sure what went wrong

Any time I ask Alexa to do something, I,e, ‘Alexa, play radio’, she responds with ‘i am not not sure what went wrong’. I have restarted, even factory reset my device. I have deregistered all devices on my Amazon Alexa app, uninstalled all Sonos apps and Alexa apps. I have tried resetting everything I can, and set the device up as a new device. But I am getting no where. Please help!

Sonos One not working with alexa

I've always been a really big fan of Sonos products but the Sonos one leaves a lot to be desired. I have discovered the device with the Alexa app and it does work with my hue lights but on an ad hoc basis. It does not always seem to hear me where as my Amazon Echo dot has a much better response response success rate. If I ask it to play radio stations and songs if then tells me it's playing it, but nothing comes out the speakers. I sold my Sonos Play 5 and one of my Echo dots for this and I am already deeply regretting it. Was going to buy another Sonos one to stereo pair them but I'm not going to bother and I will probably send this back as it's not ready for real world use. I love Sonos and had great experiences and service from them before but this speaker is toilet. So disappointing

Hello everyone! Shortly i bought a new Sonos one. And at first i was very happy about it. The sound is good and functionality with Alexa quite okay. But adding smart devices seems to be a bit tricky... I've red certain topics here about "addind smart devices" but i could not find any topic about broadlink rm pro. Does anybody have some experience with Sonons one an broadlink rm pro ?

Apple music not on Alexa

Can any of you good people tell me.....one why can’t I play Apple Music form Alexa dot via Sonos if playing Apple music at the moment it is not possible does anybody know when it will be I’ve successfully linked my Sonos to my echo.but cannot get anything to play via the Alexa.

Play music without specifying the room

I heard that I can now associate my echo dot to my living room group so I don’t have to specify which room to play music in. So I can just say “play music” rather than “Play music in living room”. Is this true? When I look at the ‘living room’ group in the Alexa app, Sonos doesn’t show up as a device so I can’t add it to the group, even though sonos and Alexa are all connected and working well, albeit by having to specify the room name, which is frankly convoluted given I only have one Sonos room in my home. Please help.

2 Sonos One speakers in differnet geographical locations and one alexa app is showing both speakers

My boyfriend and I just purchased Sonos One speakers.He lives in S.C and I live Georgia. We can't get alexa to recognize the Sonos skill on his Sonos One. So, commmnds like "stop music or "play music" is unrecognizable. Alexa keeps stating to enable the Sonos skill or smart home skill. We've uninstalled, disabled, re-enabled the Sonos skill, the alexa and Sonos app and even reset factory the Sonos One speaker...no luck. Interestingly enough, we both have separate amazon alexa accounts but when he goes through Voice Services addition via the Sonos App, the Sonos One immediatley pops up with a description of "Online" in my Alexa App and not his. I can see in my "History" the commands he is calling out to alexa in S.C. The commands do not register in his history in his alexa app. So in my alexa app under Settings and Devices I see 3 different Sonos Ones: I see a descriiption Sonos One, a descriiption of My Sonos One with Online under the name, and I see His Sonos One with Online under the
