Connecting LIFX to Sonos One
Is there a way to connect LYFX (and other apps like Lyft) to the Sonos One iris it music only for now?

I think you’re not approaching the question properly. It’s not a question about Sonos, but a question about connecting these devices to Amazon’s Alexa control system. You may want to look for information from either LIFX or Amazon, rather than Sonos. The Sonos speaker is only a way to get your voice into Amazon’s world.

Most home automation skills (or any skills) work just fine with the Sonos One. The skills that have issues are ones that play music or other audio, but aren't considered to be music services in Alexa's eyes. These are often nature or relaxation sound skills and the like. The skill will appear to be working, but no audio will be heard after Alexa's response.
