Voice control and smart home

Does anyone know of a way to use Apple Automations to group Sonos speakers? I have set up the Automation shown in the image, which streams music from Apple Music to a Sonos One in my hallway. However, I want to add a step between Set Playback Destination and Set Volume that groups my Hallway Sonos One with my other Sonos Ones, therefore streaming the music to multiple rooms. Any ideas/help would be much appreciated.

Hello all, Ive tried everything including talking to google directly and im still having issues. My sonos one is linked to my google assistant for voice stuff and everything works ie weather, traffic, volume up/down ext. but for the life of me I cant get it to play music through voice commands. It goes like this me: "hey google play (artist) on (app)" google: "ok here's (artist) on (app).... sorry I can't do that right now". The last little bit varies a little sometimes, but ya I've tried everything. I can however go into the sonos app and select the music from there and it plays fine, Its literally just the music voice command. List of stuff I have tried: unplugging sonos, factory reseting sonos, uninstalling music apps on phone, going through every setting and option under the sun, I even under googles instruction changed my email to all gmail accounts in regards to the apps and sonos itself. Hi Community, I recently installed two outdoor zones (1 with in ceiling speakers in outdoor kitchen and 1 with two outdoor waterproof speakers attached to the house). I want to hook up the outdoor TV to the both Sonos amps/zones. The TV has the ability to connect via bluetooth but as we know Sonos runs over WiFi. My question is if it is better to run hard wires from the TV to the Connect Amps. If so, how can I get both amps wired together so I can play sound in both zones? If not, does it make sense to buy a WiFi to BT converter and connect that through the Connect Amps somehow and then connect to the TV via BT. Any help you could give would be greatly appreciated. After updating to sonos 10.2, Alexa has stopped playing radio via Tunein and amazon music. The request is repeated back to confirm but then nothing plays. I have tried disabling the skill in Alexa app, but then I could not re-enable. I removed Alexa voice control from each sonos one and then added it back which also re-enabled the skill in Alexa, but no change. Any suggestions?

I bought all my Sonos products so that I would have the simplicity of using my iPhone to play the tracks I had bought on iTunes through my Sonos in most of the rooms in my home. I could just take my phone out of my pocket and control my music. Apparently, no longer. You are now writing this off “because it’s unreliable”! It’s never been unreliable! You’ve just removed the ‘raison d’être’ for Sonos. A very expensive mistake for many customise myself.

Hi there! Just setup my new Sonos Move, love it. Like all of the rest of my Sonos speakers (Beam and Ones) that I previously added successfully to the Home App (by adding New accessory - I do not have a code = I wait wait, it would discover and I could add). This process does not happen with my new Move. I have updated my iOS software to 13.1 and the new Home App, but it does not seem find the Move, and I have the Move successfully connected to my home wifi network. Would appreciate any ideas or help, thank you!

Hi I'm from Sweden and we just got the Google Voice functionalty. I can't get the Google Home mini service to work with my Sonos. It says that my Spotify Premium account is not linked correctly. I've checked numerous times that it is the same Spotify and Google account in Google Home and Sonos. However it works perfect when using voice commands to Google Assistent on my phone, just not using Google Home Mini?

It seems like some new update crashed the control of Spotify via Alexa. I thought maybe I am the only one bur I read on Amazon that other users are having the same problem. Whenever I try to tell Alexa to skip the song and go to next it says ” I cannot skip the song on Sonos” When I say pause or stop it just does noting at all. This is useless! Echo dots are working fine so it can't be Amazon. That's not how a 200$ device should behave. Some testing before updates would be appreciated. Seems like the skill stopped working. Please fix.

I recently bought a Sonos Beam. Configuration was Ok. I had setup Spotify as a music stream service but when I say for examnple “Alexa, play songs by Michael Jackson”, Sonos beam responds “Hmm, to do that first enable the Sonos Beam skill in the Alexa app, then say ‘Alexa discover my devices’” I can´t find the Sonos Beam Skill in Alexa Skills. I already have the Sonos skill enabled.

Until very recently i have been able to use the voice command 'alexa, stop music in the living room' when playing music from my library (off my NAS). All other commands such as resume, skip, volume up, etc all still work. The stop command still works for other streamng services such as radio and amazon music. Tried alternate commands to stop such as pause, freeze, halt but nothing works My system is a mixture of echo dots connecting to a zp100, play 1 and play 5. All used to work fine and now all have the same issue I have tried disabling the sonos skill and then setting it back up again but no joy. Anyone else have the same issue or know what the fault is? thanks

Connected a Beam to a Samsung mu6400 40 inch TV via HDMI/ARC and installed Alexa. Beam works as well as it does on my other Sonos players/amp - with streaming services and local NAS Alexa seems to work OK - its my first use of this. The TV remote vol up/down works with the soundbar but shows 'device input' on the screen when I change volume. I tried to switch on TV with Alexa - OK and change volume - again OK. The problem is that, after issuing an Alexa command, the Samsung ( standard or smart ) remotes volume/mute buttons stop working. Only way to get working again is to switch the TV off/on. I've checked and even when the only command to Alexa is something unrelated to the TV e.g. "what's the weather", as long as the TV is on, the remote volume control stops working. NB: anynet + / HDMI-CEC is enabled on the samsung; there are no other HDMI devices attached to the TV. Even when the remote is not working, I can still change the Beam volume OK using the app (IOS ). Hi, I've 2 sonos one, configured in a room. On same network i've 2 echo dot. Alexa is so sloooooow to respond from sonos one,barely unusable. On amazon echo dot, connected on same wifi is working correctly. Anyone else has noted this issue or have any suggestion or workaround? Thanks

It's been several years that I have asked Sonos about adding a 12 Volt DC Trigger or Changing the Standby Light or Standby Voltage so that End Users with External Amplifiers can have a reliable method of turning on and off the external amplifier when not in use. Niles makes devices that can measure lights on devices that trigger the amp but Sonos light doesn't change enough when it's in Standby mode. Same thing with Xantech, SpeakerCraft, Furman and other companies that make similar control devices! I know I am not alone with this request, maybe if there is enough discussion here in the forum we can collectively get results!

Just to say I have upgraded to the hd and uhd and the sound from my sonos system is now even more incredible. Definitely recommend

I was excited to see integration with Google assistant, however when I try to add sonos, the following happens: 1) I go to voice services and add Google Assistant 2) this takes me to the Google screen where it authenticates me using the same email address that's on my sonos account 3) this then redirects me to the sonos authentication 4) after authenticating on sonos, it says I need to register my speakers to my account, so I click Go to Sonos App, and the process starts all over again. This doesn't make sense. My speakers are registered to my account. When I go to the sonos website, and sign in with the same email address, I can see all of my speakers. Elsewhere in this process it says if I go to More > Settings > Account Settings and I don't see "Account" I need to update my sonos system. I do not see "Account" - I see my email address as the linked account and then I see Transfer account. Where is "Account"? I've also confirmed my app and speakers are all up to date.

I recently switched my Sonos One from Alexa to Google Assistant, and it seems to mostly work for everything but the one thing I need a Sonos speaker for: playing music. Whenever I ask the assistant to play an album, all I get in reply is "Sorry, it looks like the requested content isn't currently available on Google Play Music". I'm able to play radio stations on GPM just fine; it seems to only be an issue playing albums or songs. I'm able to play my albums via GPM from the So os app as well, just not using voice control. I also can't play albums to my Sonos speaker from the Google Assistant on my phone; same error message. I have a Google Play Music premium account, and I've checked that Sonos and Google Assistant are using the same Google account. I'm not sure what else to try, so any help would be appreciated.

I was previously using Alexa, but have switched to Google Assistant now I've got an Android. The sensitivity of waking Google with "Ok Google" is much lower than when using Alexa - when can this be fixed? Also, in my case I have two sonos ones as rear speakers, with amp as front two with sub, when using Alexa both rear ones would listen, now only the rear left?????

I get this error when I try and connect Google Home to Sonos (via Home app) even though I’m using the same email address for both accounts.

It’s far too loud. When I ask for my flash briefing she speaks at a normal volume. Then when the briefing plays it’s incredibly low so I have to turn the volume up. Then when Alexa speaks up again she’s SO VERY LOUD. This issue seems to come up over and over with no actual solution. All n all the Sonos 1 seems to have been a gimmick. Well I fell for it. Had I known how sketchy Alexa was in this I wouldn’t have opted for it.

How do I get Sonos to turn smart plug lights on and off?

So, here's what I'd like to be able to do: When I'm streaming a movie/TV show to my TV via Chromecast, the audio plays through my crappy built-in TV speakers. I would like the audio to be played through my lovely Sonos One stereo pair instead. How would I go about doing that? Thanks in advance! Daniel

So I bought a pair of sonos one's in april because I wanted to combine great speakers with an alexa app. Boy has this been a nightmare. One problem after another. Called sonos on record at least a dozen times and they couldn't get the problems solved. They told me I needed a boost so spent $100 on that amd still had issues. Finally customer service told me its verizon and my routers fault and I should reach out to them even though I have 32 wireless devices being controlled on my network and never had an issue and I got the boost. Bs on them! Finally i reached out to a local installer who knows what they are talking about and who helped me for free get it to almost work. This guy was better than all 12 of the sonos technicians. Crazy. So now I can play music in stereo thru the speakers but cant get Alexa to work. I have that same error message that dozens of posters have reported in this community. Funny I never see a post that describes what the fix is. Does anyone know? We've tri
