'OK google 'responds can't reach the Internet check modem. using sonos app can listen to music no problem. so definitely connected. any suggestions to resolve problem?

I had purchased my Sonos set up from 2018 onwards when it was advertised as speakers that would come with Google Assistant. After a long wait, Sonos became GA-capable. Does anyone know when Sonos will become GA-capable in Asia. Looking at the list of countries for Alexa, I am dismayed that there does not seem to be any further development for Alexa in Asia. Would the same happen to GA in Asia too?

I currently have a Sonos playbar. Im fully aware that I can add the Gen 1 or Gen 2 play 1's to the playbar to create surround sound and great TV / sound experience. My question is if I buy 1 x gen 2 play one and then the original gen 1 play 1 and connect them all up, when I use Alexa and the voice controls for example to ask it to play Oasis greatest hits, will all the speakers work or just the Gen 2? I'm trying to establish if i need to buy 2 x Gen 2 speakers when they will be sitting 5 meters apart.I like the Gen2 new feathers but it seems silly have 2 of the speakers in the same room. Thanks

Hello, all. I am curious if anyone has ever tried to use Qlab with Sonos speakers or app? I would like to be able to program some basic sound cue functions to play over 1 or 2 speakers using Qlab. Essentially looking to pre-program a volume fad up and fad out time, but need to trigger the action myself. Anyone have experience with this? Thank you!

I'm fairly new to the world of Sonos, having had a Play 1 for nine months and having been impressed enough by its capabilities to buy a Sonos One. I'm also a committed Amazon Alexa person. I have an Echo and three Dots. I decided to buy a Sonos One rather than a second Play 1 as a replacement for the Amazon Echo in my kitchen, believing (mistakenly as it turns out) that this would mean using the Sonos One alone rather than a Play 1 plus an Echo or a Dot. I was unaware that the abilities of the Alexa enabled Sonos fall short of those with which a dedicated Alexa device is endowed. One such shortcoming was revealed when I asked the Sonos One to set a daily Alexa reminder to prompt me to check the temperature of my stored hot water. The Sonos One responded to my voice request in exactly the same way as an Echo and I expected to be reminded by a spoken message every day at the time set. I have 5 Google home mini. One for every room I have a Sonos connect amp speaker (speakers in the sealing, and the amp's in my AV room). So. In my bathroom for example, i tell Google "Hi Google. Play some music from my playlist in the bathroom". Then the music starts playing from the mini... My sonos speaker is called "bathroom" and the mini is called "mini 2". And yes. My sonos system has stopped working with Alexa post the 10.4 update. When you ask Alexa to play xxx it queues the music but doesn't play the music. Really annoying any fixes. I also added a new sonos amp to my set up tonight and Alexa cannot find this device either!

I've been using Sonos with Google Assistant since it first became available, but over the last several days there's a new problem: Google Assistant frequently forgets what room my Sonos One stereo pair is in, so when I say "Hey Google, turn on the light" I get the surprising and annoying response "Ok, turning on 8 lights" (that's a stupid bug on Google's part - there's no way that "the light" should ever be interpreted as "all lights" if it doesn't know what room it's in, but leaving that aside as a Google bug...) When I check the Google Home app, I see my Sonos speaker pair in the correct room. A couple of times the problem fixed itself spontaneously after a while. A couple of times I was able to fix it manually by removing the Sonos speaker pair from the room and re-adding it. Recently I purchased Sonos One from USA. I am not able to use the voice activation in India. Can someone guide me as to have I can work around this problem ? Any way to change the location to USA so that it works ?

Is it possible to disable the Google Assistant Voice control and keep the linked status in google home? I want to continue to control the Sonos Beams but use my Google Nest Hubs for voice commands. My wife misses having her own personal assistant settings and assistant voice. Right now I have the mics turned off as a work around. I am also using airplay more and more 2 group my Sonos system for music since that feature is not available yet from google. On a side note just having the flexibility to use both Google and Apple are why I use and enjoy my Sonos system every day. Thanks

I have had a sonos one for about a year and everything worked fine until about a month ago. Now it won't not play spotify via a voice command. It just says "sorry that device is offline". If I unplug the Sonos One, do a factory reset, and reconnect to Alexa and Spotify, things work fine for a day or two and then that message comes back. Any ideas?

How do I turn it off if I am not at home?

I know you can only use one Voice Assistant natively on the Sonos One, but is there a way to get the best of both worlds ? I'd like to use Google Assistant for day to day voice commands as well as use the power of the Sonos speaker with a "paired" Echo Dot. I have the Sonos One and Echo Dot in the kitchen I have a few reasons for wanting to do this 1) Sonos One cannot exist in an Amazon Multi Room Music Group - if like to play the same music on my multiple Amazon devices around the house and the kitchen is excluded - I am reluctant to add another (bluetooth) speaker into the kitchen to facilitate this 2) The Sonos One doesn't support the new Amazon Alexa kitchen / timer clock So basically if like to use the Sonos One all the time but there are restrictions in Alexa compatibility meaning i would still need the Dot for the two features above but use the more powerful Google Assistant too So - is it possible to "pair" the Dotand the Sonos One,get all the benefits I need AND still

Sonos' responses to common GA commands is erratic. Sometimes responds, sometimes not, with some error message. Some examples: Me: "Play XYZ" or "Play playlist XYZ." Sonos: "Sure, (or OK,) playing XYZ on Google Play Music. Sorry, I can't find the content you requested." or Sonos: "Sure, playing XYZ on Google Play Music. Something went wrong. Try on one of your other devices. or, I can't do that here, but you can ask me to play that on one of your other devices." At other times, using the same command, at the same distance and volume, Sonos responds correctly. I have a total of seven Google Home devices around my home, which all work fine. ???

I am trying to connect my newly acquired sonos one to Alexavoice control .... I have successfully connected to Google assistant When I attempt to connect to Alexa, I always get the message "There was a problem adding Alexa" I can connect the sonos speaker through the Alexa app, and have successfully played music via the linked spotify app (both through the Alexa app, and through voice control with Google assistant) I did read about a similar problem in Australia....

I've been using my Sonos Beam with Alexa for months with zero issues. Today I had the brilliant idea to play a new album I bought from Google Play and found that the only way to do it was to link my Beam to Google Assistant. Part way through the setup, I saw the notice that everybody in the house would be able to access my Google account info, just by asking - YUCK, no thanks - so I canceled connecting to Google Assistant. Now, I can't get Alexa back. My microphone doesn't light up, and my Alexa app shows the device as offline. I tried several times to add Alexa back, but every time I tap to sign in to Amazon, I get a spinner for a second, then the message "! There was a problem adding Alexa - Try again or Not now". I followed all the advice I found searching online: disable skill in Alexa app, remove devices, reset Beam, and start all over, but I'm still stuck at "There was a problem adding Alexa" and getting more and more frustrated by the minute.

Hello Everyone, I live in the Netherlands and I recently purchased a Sonos Beam with 2 Play 1 (all in the living room) and an IKEA/Sonos speaker for the bedroom. I also have a Google Home Hub. I managed to play Spotify properly on the Google Home Hub using voice control and I also manage to play Spotify on all Sonos speakers using the Sonos Android App. I have the Beam connected to a Sony Android TV and, if I ask it to play Spotify, it automatically turn on the TV and plays Spotify, but I cannot manage to use Google assistant to play Spotify on the Beam (and the 2 Play 1) having the TV off. Similarly, I cannot use google assistant to play Spotify on the IKEA speaker in the bedroom: when I ask Google assistant to play music on that speaker, it says that he is going to play Spotify on that speaker, but eventually ti says he cannot help with it yet. Does anybody had a similar case? How can I fix it? Thanks a lot!!!

I have an Echo Dot and two Sonos Play:1s, all registered to me, my apps and my phone, all online, same wifi, etc. I have a 'Living Room' group in Alexa.app with "Kitchen Echo Dot" and "Sonos" in it. Sonos is set as default music speaker in Alexa.app and the Sonos Skill is enabled. The problem is when I say "Alexa Play Spotify" I get "Here is Spotify on Sonos. Sorry on Sonos is offline." I can play Spotify on the Sonos using Spotify Connect or the Sonos app, but can't get Alexa to control it. Help?

Just set up Google assistant on my Sonos Beam - assistant recognizes my commands like add Milk to shopping list, but when I ask it to play a artist on Spotify it tries and then says - "device isn't available right now" . I can play Spotify music through Sonos app on all speakers including the Beam. I have removed the Google assistant from the Beam and added it back just to see if that fixed it. I did change the name of the device during the process of setting it up. Has anyone run into this error and figured out how to fix it.

I've had my Sonos for about 4 months now and in the last few weeks Alexa is no longer working correctly. If I ask it to do something such as "play radio 1" it responds and tells me it it's going to play it, then it bleeps and nothing else happens. The only way i can play music through it now is via the app. Unsure how to rectify this but highly annoying. Any suggestions? Thanks

When I ask GA to shuffle songs on my One, it responds "sorry, shuffle mode is not available on this device". Is there any way to get Google to shuffle songs on Sonos?

Hi, I have 2x Sonos One in the kitchen. I am looking to buy a Ring Doorbell and add an Echo Show 5 to the kitchen which would replace an echo dot that is used as a bluetooth input only wired into a Sonos Connect. The only use I see for the Echo Show is to display the Ring Doorbell camera (and to act as the bluetooth input currently fulfilled by the Echo Dot it will replace). I understand that I need to ask Alexa to display the door camera, i.e. the show does not automatically display the camera when the doorbell is rung. As per the Echo Dot the show would have the microphone turned off. Can I ask Alexa to display the doorbell camera on the show via the Sonos Ones? Thank you
