Have a chat with other Sonos owners. What's going on in the world of music and technology? What's playing?

I have painstakingly set my alarms for specific programmes to turn on automatically. Can I share these with a (future) Sonos user to make life easier for that person (he is less tech savvy then me). Thanks, Miriam
Yet another pissed off customer. I am trying to send a broken Move [Dead Battery) conveniently out of warranty by three months even although it’s sat in storage for a year .back to Poland for a 30% discount code on a replacement.I printed out the forms sent to me by Sonos customer service These were a shipping label and 3 waybills. I dropped them off at the designated shop . The owner checked it was all there. Told me the problems she had with UPs Ive now been sent an e mail from the wife with a photo of the box dumped on the porch and asking for an invoice that I know nothing about.im now out the country for another 6 weeks so can’t deal with it ,I’ve tried to open the support page by putting the number they gave and told me to keep ,but it does not recognise it .So what do I do now ?I was looking at updating a few of my older system , but if this is the back up you receive I think I will go elsewhere.
Can you come up with a wireless headset product that will tie into the Sonos Beam for the hearing impaired?
Does anyone know if I can exchange my sub gen 2 for a sub mini in the Sonos market and pay whatever differential there is? And if not how would you recommend that I sell it?
I was told, today, that the speaker stands for the new 300’s won’t be available till June. Wow…
Hi everyone! This is Zach from Sonos. We are looking for stories about how sound – whether music, home theater, podcasts, or something else entirely – has helped you make deeper connections with yourself, family members, friends, or strangers from around the world. Your answers will be used internally to help inform our vision for future Sonos experiences, and they may be referred to in an upcoming company-wide presentation. Please drop a comment below to help us better understand moments where sound and human connection meet. Thanks!
Sonos should really focus on reducing idle energy consumption of the existing devices! Both the environmental impact and the impact on energy bills is significant (especially in some regions of Europe) when expanding a Sonos System. I have a system with a Beam Gen2, two Sonos One Gen2, and together the consumption exceeds 13W! It’s MORE than three lightbulbs constantly on 24/7! It accounts for about 120kWh a year, which is what you’d consume to drive 700km with an electric car!! It’s just crazy! Also, with current energy prices it could account to more than 70€ a year! It’s like having yet another subscription service! Also, I’d like to expand my setup with a Sub Mini, but I can’t tollerate to rise further this energy consumption! Sonos should first of all do everything that’s possible to optimize the devices and reduce idle energy consumption, but also develop an “Eco” mode -which could also be scheduled, for example- which brings the devices in a “deep sleep” state, which might requi

After a week of searching and not finding a solution, I decided to roll up the sleeves to make myself one to my desire. I wanted to lay my unit on a stand rather than wall mount for purposes of an easy replacement in a different room, one of the benefits of a wireless design. My home decor is MCM style so what I wanted was a Mid Century look using a solid walnut finished top with routed edges, with slanted, period correct legs. The dims of the Arc are approximately 45” x 4”. I made my top 46” x 5.5” for a custom look that screams the unit was made specifically for an ArcI’ve got some leftover parts and hardwood if anyone also need to feel this void in the marketplace.Let me know if I can be of some help.
I don't have access to employee, upgrade, or any other discounts. But sometimes I see people offering their discounts, like here: https://old.reddit.com/r/sonos/comments/11nb118/upgrade_credit_trade I've got Champagne tastes on a basic beer budget, racing along on the hedonic treadmill (google it). I now have two Ones and a Roam, and I'm looking to obtain a Sub Mini and another Roam, preferably with a 15% discount. Is there anything I need to be particularly cautious of in using someone else's discount?
One of my two dogs seems to be alarmed by the Sonos Speaker when I play it. I have turned off Loudness reduced the volume limit to no avail. I assume the speaker emits in a range that triggers my dog unlike any other audio device Ive had before. Not the tv not the bluetooth speakers ive had. Have any of you encountered this ?
Is the Sonosnet dying out? The new eras 100 & 300 can no longer use or perform it! They can only handle home wlan like move or roam. If that's actually the case, I hope, that wireless repeaters will be perfect supported in the future.Dirk
Love the determination, dedication & commitment to provide a one of a kind in home listening experience by innovating every day. How can music enthusiasts like myself & most Sonos owners who have purchased Sonos for the same listening experience. Has there ever been any discussion or consideration as how to encourage Sonos owners to upgrade into your most current line of product(s) with some sort of incentive or loyalty plan? I myself am already looking at upgrading putting my current expenses in my Sonos products at loss. Until I can get some kind of return selling them thru a online source. With a incentive program like such, knowing I could upgrade to the latest technology Sonos offers & able to get a return on the products I’ve already purchased for their quality, clearly having the understanding moving into Sonos newest products offered will only enhance my listening experience even more, they would already be on order. Just a thought?
Giving SONOS support access to your computer opens your computer to hacking and hijacking. My CONTACTS list was copied and is now being used by SCAMMERS for scamming all over the world.Asked SONOS for help but I don’t think they will answer my call.DEs
I’d like to make a feature request for a night mode that doesn’t completely eliminate all bass. A mode that will basically tighten up the dynamic range so all sounds can be heard around the same level for late night listening that won’t be interrupted by that one surprise explosion scene that wakes up the house followed by the speech you can’t hear immediately before and after. Thanks!
Last Saturday night, something failed in my Playbase (purchased May 2017). I got into a chat with a rep, and about an hour later Sonos said that the PB was bad and they were replacing it with a Beam Gen 2. When I asked about cost for this, I was told “no charge”! I got the replacement yesterday and just finished setting up and configuring. So I’m a little numb...The Beam is a definite improvement, but I have no idea how or why it was covered by warranty. I did have to return the PB, but all I had to do was take it to UPS and pay them $20.00 to box it up for me. They paid return shipping as well.I’m very impressed and wondering a bit about what could have been in the PB to make them want it back so badly. :)
Why does the sonos app suck so much?
… The Android app is a real disaster! But how can SONOS claim to be at the top of the range with such a... How to say... thing? Horror ? Application absurdity? This app crashes randomly! It's a horror when it has to be used! My account is sometimes lost! My Spotify account link too. Have to init again all my SONOS system for the Xth time! And now, I can't even find my 2 One SLs anymore... All my equipment works without any problem with my wifi access point (the point is a few meters away) EXCEPT SONOS which sometimes crashes! And fed up with the support that looks for quirky reasons but never questions their equipment when the bug is there: the bug is SONOS! 😡Sorry for the angry side of the message but there, fed up!
I have Sonos s2 app on my system with 3 sonos ones, and 2 roams. When I try to search for music on the app, I can usually only type a few characters before the text is deleted. It seems to be related to the search function on the app. It's as if when the app is trying to search while I'm typing, as it's returning the results, it automatically selects the text I'm typing, which is then overwritten by the next character. Sometimes I get a couple characters to stay, and they are highlighted (selected). If I don't tap in the search bar to unselect the text, if I type another character it deletes/overwrites the text. I've seen other posts about this, but they did not have a solution. I use the S1 app at work, no issues. Very disappointed in the S2 "upgrade"
Can I add another Sonos product to my app and profile that is in a different country and house? Or do I need a new profile for the 2nd country?
I was using Sonos move for almost one month, before the problem, I had use airplay function and there is no problem at all. But yesterday, i can’t find the airplay on my device even thought I didn’t change my Wi-Fi password or using another wifi (ps. Wi-Fi functioning well). Fortunately, I still can use Bluetooth for playing music. So what is happen is happen to my sonos move and how should I solve the problem?
Could I put in a suggestion to the developers that Sonos look at a Group when it is configured and instead of setting the first selected Sonos as the Coordinator selecting the first (if any) Ethernet wired one.Maybe go a bit further and pick the wireless one with the best connection if none are wired? Not likely to happen soon but it would be nice to have the next developer that digs into the Group coding see the suggestion.
Love my Sonos products. However, two things need to be addressed immediately.Form factor/product design: The Sonos One SL plug is a joke. Impossible to unplug without a vice grip. You may want to monitor the Sonos subreddit...this is starting to boil: https://www.reddit.com/r/sonos/comments/116v8dx/sonos_one_sl_plugoh_my/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3 UX/Software: Removing a speaker from your system is a much-overlooked part of the user experience. You can’t do it properly without (according to Sonos): Factory reset the speaker Open the sonos app A popup will come asking you to “Add” this “new speaker Close out of the pop-up, don’t add it. Restart the app. So if you happened to miss this and ship it, you have to wait for it to “time out” or until the other owner activates it. Ridicu-f’ing-lous. Sonos, it’s time to get serious about the ENTIRE user experience. There are many companies that do it right...hope you join them soon.
