can the arc be mounted on a MantelMount pull down TV mount? I have a Playbar mounted currently and works great. I am wondering if the Arc will work on a pull down mount?
Can anyone please share with me what was changed with the S2 App update that was issued on 3/12/21? Thanks in advance.
HiI’m moving into a new flat that has Virgin Media fibre that will be using the Virginmedia 360 Box. I have read a post online (not here) that they had a problem with audio synching and their Beam, that was different for each TV channel so couldn’t be sorted by adjusting the audio delay. The suggested fix in the replies was to turn off Dolby which obviously loses quality and isn’t great.Has anyone else had any problems? Or better still is anyone else using their Beam with a Virgin Media 360 Box with no audio problems?I’ve got a Beam and x2 Sonos One SL’sThanksTom
I just bought a 2020 Samsung Frame and Sonos Arc and I wanted to test the Dolby Atmos feature but when I tried the only app I could get to output Dolby Atmos as shown in the Sonos app was Amazon Prime Video. I’m using the built in apps on the Frame TV. When I play Netflix content that should be Atmos is says Dolby Multichannel PCM 2.0. I have the premium Netflix subscriptions and it says Atmos under the title in Netflix but only Dolby Multichannel PCM 2.0 in the Sonos app. When I play from Disney Plus I get Dolby Multichannel PCM 5.1 at least, and I get Dolby Digital Plus 5.1 when playing Apple TV+. I understand their might be some issues with Disney and Apple, but at the very least Netflix should be outputting Atmos. I’ve also read about all the issues with eArc and audio cutting out with the Samsung Frame, fortunately I haven’t had any of those issues, just the issue of it not outputting Atmos when it should be. Hopefully I’m just missing something simple.
Hi, New here so greetings! Quick question, I have been given a ZP90 and all of my other components are s2 compatible. I have created an s1 compatible network just for the zp90 but it is not showing as eligible for the upgrade program.Do I need to do something config wise to get it registered for the upgrade programme? Thanks.
Hi, I have a Sony Bluetooth turntable and wondering if connected by BT to a Sonos Roam, I can then share the turntable music with paired Sonos speakers in the same and other grouped rooms with Sonos speakers .Appreciate any advice.Ian
Hello, I am looking to add outdoor rock speakers around my pool area and power them with the Sonos Amp. I am still undecided if I want to go with two or four speakers. From what I am reading 8 ohm speakers are the best option with Sonos amp, but I don’t know how the Amp is going to handle the speaker wattage. Here are the three options I am looking at going with:Option 1:One Sonos Amp Two OSD Audio RS670 6.5” Rock speakers Power Handling: 150W Frequency Response: 39Hz - 22kHz Sensitivity & Impedence: 91 dB, 8 ohms Option 2:One Sonos Amp Four OSD Audio RS670 6.5” Rock speakers Power Handling: 150W Frequency Response: 39Hz - 22kHz Sensitivity & Impedence: 91 dB, 8 ohms Option 3:One Sonos Amp Two OSD Audio 8” Omni Rock Speakers Power Handling: 200W Frequency Response: 30Hz - 18kHz Sensitivity & Impedence: 87 dB, 8 ohms Will either of these options work? Are the speakers I have chosen too much for the amp to handle? Do I need to explore other options? Does the speaker wat
I recently bought an IKEA speaker for a rental house. I am trying to set it up using a new SONOS account I created for the rental with a different email address to my home account (which is the one I am using now). The App keeps telling me that the verification email has been sent but I have not received it. I have tried multiple times and double (and triple!) checked the email address to make sure it is correct. I have also checked both my SPAM and Junk email folders. I have also tried to set it up with a (second) separate email address but without success (ie, same problem). The account I am using to send this question is my home account, which has a different email address and is quite separate to the rental. Please help me. It is very frustrating.
Just bought a new home, they’ve previously had 4 in ceiling Sonos speakers installed. 2 in the living room and 2 in the kitchen which they’ve left. The overall setup from the previous owners was an amp, play bar, sub and ceiling speakers. I am now looking at my own setup, incorporating the ceiling speakers and looking for an understanding. if I was to replicate the previous system, buying a playbar, sub and amp. Could I wire all of these to one amp? (playbar, sub and four ceiling speakers). Or would I need two amps to power all rooms? To have audio in different rooms I.e. tv audio in the living room, but then different audio in the kitchen I presume another amp would be needed? If I want music to play throughout the ceiling speakers and sub could the tv then play separate? thanks in advance
Hi thereEquipmentLG55CX + PS5 + Arc home theater setup (arc + sub + 2 x One SL) PS5 is connected direct to TV via HDMI 2.1 Arc connected to TV via eARC connection using HDMI supplied in box Other devices connected direct to TV via 2.0 HDMI splitterIssueWhen watching normal TV (SkyQ) or using another product, such as a Nintendo Switch, the connection between the devices and the sound output is absolutely fine. No issues. Likewise, there is no issue with Netlifx, NOWTV or Prime services via the TV apps. When you switch the input to PS5, I would say there is a 50/50 chance that the TV/Arc will not handshake properly and there will be no sound output. If you switch back to another HDMI input sound returns immediately. When you switch back to PS5 there is still no sound. If you turn off eARC on TV settings the sound returns, but that is not a fix in my opinion.I am satisfied that the TV/PS5 is setup correctly to pass through bitstream following the recent updates, albeit the app still shows s
So I have a Beam connected to my PC and the sub connected via app. I want to add another Beam in the same room connected to my TV and have it also use the sub. Is this possible? Will audio come out of both Beams or just the connected device?
I have a new Pro-Ject T1 Phono SB Turntable (with pre amp) with the RCA connecters into the line in on the Sonos Amp. In the house I also have two pairs of Five speakers and three Play:1’s.There are no wired speakers coming off of the Amp. The goal was to play records and have the music picked up on any of the speakers in the Sonos network. The Amp settings areSource Level 10 (high)Autoplay OffMy issue is that all I hear is heavy static when I set the audio to Line In and then at the highest Source Level and max volume I can hear a little bit of the audio.Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Hello everyone. I am in the final stages of determining my future Sonos system. Last bit is trying to include my Pioneer SX-535 receiver and Pioneer PL-530 turntable. I believe all I need to do is connect the receiver using the Headphone Out (front located) and into either the Port or Five. Please let me know if this all makes sense.I am leaning towards the Five because it allows yet another speaker in the home for just a little more cost than the Port, and utilizing the 3.5mm in. I do not have any speakers connected to the receiver. I really want to be able to connect the turntable, radio, and old tapes to Sonos. Will the Five still continue to play even if the receiver is off?I do have some speakers outside that I could connect the Receiver too and utilize the Port, but with a small t.v. outside, I think a cheap separate receiver for that location would likely be best at the moment until a proper AMP/Sonos Outdoor Speaker can be purchased. Thanks for your time everyone,-Adam
I find several topics about Trueplay not being on Android due to variability of hardware. While i get the point it still seems like at least it could be supported for the Pixel models. Thank you for trying.
Updated 09/06/23HelloWhether you are a current Sonos user or a first time visitor looking for pre-sales information...Welcome. We hope you’ll find the information useful. The chart below provides a “snap shot” of the Sonos speaker line-up for quick reference. As it’s a community member project it is not an official Sonos piece. However, it has been vetted by Community Moderators for accuracy. It will be updated when new information is released by Sonos.Be sure to check out the Era 300, Era 100 and Move 2 which are Sonos’ newest additions to its speaker line (thus far for 2023)! FYI, the Era 100 makes an interesting comparison versus the One/One SL.There is a line item in the chart titled Works with Sonos App S2/S1. Those speakers that align with S2, S1 or both are noted. If you purchase a product that is S2/S1 compatible and introduce it into a system that is comprised of S1 products (multiple or single) the S2/S1 product will downgrade to S1 level. That means it will not receive any S2
My Sonos Move won’t power on. I’ve had it for about 18 months. When I place it on the charger, the orange “I’m charging” light on the front of the speaker comes on for a few seconds, and then goes off. No other lights come on, and it does not respond to any button. I called Sonos support and they said that the would send me a new unit - I just had to fill out the email form they would send me. However, the email form says that because it’s out of warrantee, they’re going to charge me about 80% of the cost of a new one, So now, before I throw it in the garbage or salvage it for parts, I’m wondering if the battery is dead and needs to be replaced. How can I tell if the battery needs to be replaced?
Hi, I have recently swapped an old 5.1 system out with the Sonos Arc. The 5.1 system had all components connected into the A/V receiver with one HDMI from the receiver to the TV (Sony Bravia KD49XE8005) and had absolutely no lip sync problems. I’ve now set up the Arc (via ARC) and, I thought, everything was still fine. I had no lip sync issues on apple TV, PS4 and some Sky content. Sonos Arc is connected via ARC (HDMI 3 in my TV’s case) with the Apple TV, PS4 and Sky Q box connected via other HDMI inputs. However, I have identified a very specific issue with Sky Q. When watching stereo content (i.e. non HD) I have no lip sync issues. When watching UHD Atmos content (output via DD+), there are no lip sync issues. However, when Sky Q outputs DD5.1 the audio and video go out of sync in the way that can’t be fixed (i.e. video is ahead of the audio). I have tried a power cycle and the issue still persists. Additionally, when I set the Sky Q HDMI output to normal and it outputs
Why Sonos discontinued the PlayBase? I think the PlayBase was and still is one of the best design from Sonos, the form factor of the design was great to blend in with your home furniture and also easy to hide. The sound of the PlayBase is amazing and the bass that is coming out of that flat block plate is great much more that I was expecting the first time I heard it, I actually was impressed. For me the design still one of the best, because it doesn’t look like a bar in front of your TV. I just don’t understand why Sonos just continue with the design and improving his capabilities with Dolby Atmos technology and so on. I hope Sonos use this design again in the future with improvements for Dolby Atmos and HiRes for music.
Is it possible to charge the Move with a portable battery pack like anker, mophie etc with the USB-C port?
Anyone want to buy all my Sonos speakers Cheap. just over it
I just moved into a new home. My main question right now is, for a gym (converted bedroom), would I be better served to purchase the Sonos Amp and connect two Ascend Acoustics Sierra 2 speakers and Emotiva sub to it (already own them) or to purchase a pair of Play Fives. The bigger story of my setup for the whole home is below. I’d appreciate any advice at all about it. I recently moved and am currently upgrading all of my audio. My prior main room setup was a Denon receiver with a 3.1 setup consisting of 3 Ascend Acoustics speakers and an Emotiva 10” sub. It sounded great, but there were wires (seemingly everywhere), and it was not a part of a whole home / distributed audio system. The new house is forcing two changes. First, there is a whole home audio system, consisting of 6 pairs of in ceiling speakers in 6 rooms. Second, the living room (where I will do most of my TV watching / hanging out) does not really allow for a wired setup at all and is shaped very audio unfriendly. It has
Hello,I’m researching getting an ARC and have come across a similar question, but one that went cold and was from an Apple TV user, which I am not. The 900F has received a firmware update since it’s release that allows its HDMI 2.0b h/w to allow for eARC throughput and therefore should allow bandwidth for the likes of Dolby ATMOS. EDIT: Argh, looks as though I misread the update notes path for this 900F model, perhaps there’s no hope of eARC for this model… Well, last 2 questions stand, perhaps it’s a worthy soundbar sans ATMOS (i.e. optical)…? Has anyone with this combination tested it thoroughly and have results they can share here?Further, anyone with this combo passing another HDMI in on this TV through to the ARC with success…?Thanks in advance,b
I have three Sonos Player 1s. I saw old posts with this same topics, but no resolution. I have not used these speakers in a week, yet my home Network with 3 Ubiquity APs running about 30 clients show the top 3 highest upload to network are the three Sonos players. Mind you, I have four professional adults working from home and two kids home schooling. Our work apps and video conferences should be eclipsing any other upload. Why the heck is Sonos showing at 140MB, 100MB and 98 MB upload each yet they are not even in use? What the heck are they uploading? I have ipad and iphone apps for Sonos, background refresh turned off, but bluetooth and local network turned on. Version 11.2.4, Build 57.4.83220, Sonos S1. use alexa, spotify...
Hello Guys,Newbie here, sorry if I am asking the same questions as some of the experienced members may have answered it in the past. In my future house, I have a living room space of approximately 13X18 and planning to use Sonos instead of my current Bose 5.1 on wall speakers. Tv is going to be on wall which is 18 feet above the fireplace. I am planning to put 4 in-ceiling Speakers (2 in the front and 2 in the rear left & right)), one Sonos Sub (3rd Generation), Sonos Play Bar in the center (debating) and Sonos Amp in the same room although I have Denon Receiver. Questions Sonos Play Bar or Sonos Arc ?Sonos Play Bar as I am getter it cheaper or should I go with Sonos Arc (will it make a huge difference)Do I need Sonos Play Bar as centre speaker if I am using 4 ceiling speakers as it will create a phantom channel? In my TV I have ARC. I would like to connect my Nintendo Switch, Cable TV Box, IPTV Box and Blue-ray / DVD player which is currently connected to my Denon receiver via H
