Hi EveryoneJust recieved my Arc and very impressed with it as my first piece of sonos equipment, so much so that I have two One Sl's and flexson mounts on the way.Just looking for some advice  regarding surrounds height and angle, my main seating position is in the middle of the sofa (the sofa is right against the wall) im thinking of putting the surrounds were the two red marks are and angling them slightly towards the tv. Any suggestions? T.I.A 

I cannot get the sound from stingray music to play on my new sonos  system. Sound is on all other channels.

Anyone else ordered a sub from sonos website and still waiting just about to hit 6 months no communication from sonos have to keep contacting them and everytime get told in a few days will be dispatched been given at least 10 different dates. So just want to see if anyone else are having the same issues ?

Problem: Pixel XL (smartphone) was connected to my system via SONOS S2 for about 3 weeks working PERFECTLY.  Now Pixel XL won’t connect and I can’t find any way to reconnect it even using all my old S1 tricks.Background: I upgraded my system from S1 to S2 using my Pixel XL phone.  It was used to perform the system upgrades and first to get S2 app added and S1 app removed.  Afterwards, functioning perfectly!  Been using it successfully without any issues for around 3 weeks now.Delay to Upgrade:  Not that anyone needs an explanation, but I replaced our FireHD 8.1 (2017) with a FireHD 8.1 (2020) to use as a SONOS controller for guests/petsitters.  I was holding off migrating the system/rooms to S2 until either: SONOS would actually show mercy to us long time users as first they were hinting and eventually did drop support for FireOS 4/5/6; or, I had a replacement device so that our houseguests wouldn’t be without a controller!  So, upon receipt of my upgraded tablet and after a white-knuc

Suddenly started after latest update. When playing TV all speakers buzz loudly. It does not happen whilst playing music.. only whilst playing TV. System working perfectly prior to this.. initially started with play bar only, now all 6 speakers buzz. Not sure how to resolve it

I am having trouble pairing Beam to Shaw remote x11. The LG OLED tv sound is coming through the Beam but I can not get the Beam to power up / down and control volume with the Shaw remote. The codes provided by Shaw box have not worked to pair the Beam. At this stage the TV is paired to Shaw box but I have to use the TV remote to adjust volume.

HiCan I suggest the following changes to the Android S2 app, please?Please make the mute button bigger. I have to hit it two or three times for it to activate.S2 ScreenshotPlease make the app load quicker. It takes a full 7 seconds for the app to load and if i navigate away from the Sonos screen, it has to load all over again. This is very frustrating when I am working on multiple apps. If I setup a group of speakers all linked to my Beam and for one reason or another I need to mute this, the group gets broken and I need to set it up again.Thanks for you support. Arrowmaker 

Hi, I would like to stream audio from my Nvidia Shield TV to my Symfonisk speaker - are there any apps that do this? Or is there another way of doing it?

Over the years I have bought Sonos Play 5’s x 5 (Gen 1). 1 x Move, 2 x Amps + 2 of the latest Amps, 2 x Play 1’s and 1 x Play 3’s and Playbase. In short invested a lot of money and much of it doesn’t seem to work these days. I now have 2 Apps to run the system, is SONOS crazy?So disappointed on the so called progress, I should have stuck to my British Cyrus system as this is now American junk.The real question is there anyone out there that will buy it off me and I suspect the answer is NO?To say I am disappointed with the performance is an understatement. I suggest the App software writers should be sacked and someone who knows what they are doing write an App that all components work satisfactory under.Did I say I am disappointed, YES I AM?

 I am in the process of building a home and am looking for some input regarding our speaker setups for our back porch and garage.  We will be using two separate Sonos Amps.  One for each space.​​​​​​ The back porch is approximately 20 x 20 with a 16ft vaulted ceiling.  We will be placing a TV on the back porch and connecting it to a Sonos Amp in order to watch TV and listen to music.  We will have the HDMI and speaker cables routed to the amp in our media closet.  We are looking using 4 Klipsch CDT 5800-C II’s for our back porch.  Will the amp be able to power those speakers and still sound good or will 4 of them be too much for one amp?  The garage is approximately 1000 sq ft with a 10 foot ceiling.  We hoping to put 4 Klipsch AW-650s or 4 Definitive Technology AW6500’s.  We are hoping to put one in each corner around the 7 ft level.  This will be just for music.  Will one Sonos Amp be able to power all 4 of these speakers?  Will 4 speakers be too much for that size garage?I really  a

Setup: beam and 2 OneSL’s as surround products. I don’t always want to use the system in surround mode, so toggle the surround setting to off - simple. However, doing so changes the status lights on the OneSL’s to flashing green - which is kinda annoying. The issue though, is that the OneSL status light still flashes even when status lights settings are toggled to off!  Any suggestions to overcome this? Am I missing something? 

New to this forum. Greatly appreciate your guidance. I recently purchased a Sonos Arc and two Ikea/Sonos bookshelf speakers for surround on my Samsung Smart TV 6-series.   I already have an older Sony Subwoofer which connects via Bluetooth.  Is there any way to add it to my system? Or is there a way to directly connect using optical audio or another option?

I have an Arc on order.  I am about to order a new TV and wondered if this issue has now been fixed or are there some TV brands to steer away from?  

I just bought this because of Apple Music support. I have set up Google assistant and when I say hey Google play …. on Apple Music it says “not supported”. I have also added the speaker to my Apple home and when I use my Apple Watch and say “hey Siri play …. On Sonos” (I’ve named it Sonos via Apple home) it doesn’t work. Any ideas? Or do I just subscribe to Spotify for direct support? 

I have a room with a TV surround sound system. So playbase, sub and two rear play one speakers.I now want to add a project debut esprit sonos edition turntable which comes with a built in phono pre amp.My question is how best to connect it to this system. I could buy a Sonos 5 speaker which would connect directly and then link by WiFi. However is there a better way? And would having a Sonos 5 in this room disrupt my TV surround sound system or improve it?

I’ve got to setup five Galaxy Tab 8’s tomorrow which require ability to play local music stored on the device. 4 months ago i know this wasn’t possible - has there been any updates that have fixed this before i spend ages trying to configure them. If not - suggestions at best work around would be appreciated as i don think my client will be happy if i tell them they need 5 music servers too :(

I have recently moved into a new apartment.  The seller left behind what must have been a quite costly audio system installed ca. 2010.  The heart of it is a Niles GXR2 receiver.  It is connected to speakers installed in the walls or ceilings of multiple rooms.  There is a handheld Niles controller on a charging base that enables you to select the rooms that will play and control volume.    The system as set up has just three inputs labeled on the controller:  ipod, xm, and fm.  There’s no ipod there, nor do I have (or want) an xm subscription.  The fm does play, but the reception is very poor.   I brought from my last residence a Sonos Connect unit that can stream music and radio broadcasts from the internet.  I have gone through the setup procedure and the Connect unit appears to be receiving our home wifi.  I now would like to connect it to the Niles receiver.  The Sonos Connect unit has left and right analog outputs.   It will be the only music source.    Thoughts invited on how to

I have a Sonos Connect and a Yamaha AVR along with a JBL SP120II subwoofer. Right now I have the Connect plugged directly into the JBL Subwoofer’s RCA In and it sounds really good when paired with my (2) Play:1’s and (2) Play:3 speakers in a Stereo Configuration. If I plug the JBL Subwoofer into my Yamaha AVR using the AVR’s Subwoofer OUT and then connecting the Connect to the AVR’s Fiber Optic in I am not getting as good of bass in that configuration and I am not sure why. I have gone through all the settings in the Yamaha AVR and everything looks properly set. I was thinking that when I get my new TekTon Mini Lores this week I would hook them to the Yamaha but leave the JBL subwoofer connected directly to the Sonos Connect’s RCA out. If I did that would I be able to also connect the Sonos Connect to the AVR via a Fiber Optic connection and have it send the Audio out of the Sonos Connect and the Yamaha at the same time? I'm using Chromecast with Google TV with a Sony Bravia TV and a Sonos Beam. Using Chromecast's remote settings, I've set up the volume +/- keys for controlling the Beam's volume. Technically, this works. But then, all of a sudden, out of nowhere, it stops working. I can restart Chromecast and nothing changes. The only way to fix this is to restart the Beam (unplugging its power chord and plugging it in again). Then everything is working again, for some time at least (anything between half an hour and a couple of hours).I initially thought it had to do with that I used a different audio source with the Beam - but it also stops working while simply watching TV. It is extremely annoying.Does anyone have any idea? Thanks in advance.

This HP should be used for me to listen to TV programs when I am at the table (for example the television news). My SONOS has recognized my WiFi network and my TV is a latest generation SAMSUNG and WiFi compatible too. I am unable to configure my SONOS to play sound from my TV. HelloI haven’t found any real world responses in the community regarding using dual Sonos subs. That said here is my take on the subject. I’m not going to provide information on how to properly position Sonos dual subs as I believe Peter Pee does an excellent job of explaining how to get the best listening experience. You can listen to his recommendations on the subject at this link .Basic components: Arc, Beam, Playbar, Playbase or Sonos Amp bonded to a Sonos Gen3 sub and then adding a second Sonos Gen2 or Gen3. For ease of setup assuming you have a Sonos Gen2 sub already I recommend removing it, add the Sonos Gen 3 and re-add the Gen2.Straight away let me say that using dual subs is AWESOME.  IMO what you should expect is not a lot of increased volume. What you will get is a more immersive experience. Hi  I just bought the Sonos ARC and Sub Gen 3 and went through the set up process and tuning with my iPhone.  The bass sounds great but the dialogue is very weak.   Will be there an upcoming software fix for this?  I’m debating whether to return before the 15 days…  your guidance will help with my decision 

Hi I’m a little frustrated here and I can’t believe this is how the “system” is supposed to work. I have an Epson projector (no internal speaker) coupled with an Apple TV 4k. Up until recently I hardwired my stereo to the projector and everything was rosy. Last week I bought a Sonos 1 Gen 2 to use for the audio and it’s been ridiculously frustrating. I connect to the speaker using the control center on Apple TV and picking the speaker. Frequesntly I have trouble connecting the speaker to the Apple TV and when I do there are several issues (everything is fully updated): 1)No system clicks from the Apple TV. It’s completely silent until I start playing a video or watching something. 2)The volume control is erratic. Sometimes it connects fine sometimes it doesn’t. Sometimes it shows the volume graphic on the screen sometimes it doesn’t. 3)Today I tried playing a game, Asphalt 8, and there isn’t any sound at all even though the sound when playing a video from Netflix, for example, works fi

Okay I have a Sony TV with an arc HDMI port. I recently bought the Sonos ARC and an UHD Blueray player with  two outputs a separate video and an audio output. I can connect the Sonos ARC to the HDMI arc port and the BD video output to a TV HDMI port. Where do i connect the BD audio output to. I have a three port switch. At the moment I am not getting Dolby Atmos sound from any of the Blueray discs that have Dolby Atmos printed on the cover. A simple sketch would be appreciated.

Title pretty well sums up the problem. I’ve been playing music through the JDT Rocket Player on a Galaxy S21. I’ve done some substantial updating of my library played via Rocket. None of these updates are showing up when I select to play music from my local device.I tried rolling back to previous version of the Sonos app as recommended on a previous string addressing this problem. Chrome is preventing me from installing the download.Any suggestion would be most appreciated.Dan Taylor
