Hello,I have a Sonos Arc + Sub connected to a Samsung TV/Apple TV setup. Whenever a show or movie is paused for several minutes, it seems that the Apple TV either unsyncs the Arc or tells it to go to sleep/mute. The Arc remains muted until I hit play, at which point the green light comes on indicating that it is unmuting. Most frustrating is that it takes a few seconds to fully unmute, so if I resume a show, the video will start but audio won’t kick in for those few seconds.  I don’t think this is an Apple TV issue, since I did not have trouble with the previous speakers - albeit those were just a 2.1 wired Logitech speaker setup. And no, my Samsung does not have an eARC port. Perhaps it has something to do with the pairing of remote controls? I could not find my answer anywhere, so any advice would be helpful. Thank you!

Maybe this is addressed somewhere else, but I would love the ability to change the bit rate of the stream in Sonos.For example when I stream Tidal through Sonos it is FLAC ~1000kbs. This is great when I want to listen to the music in my living room on a high-quality stereo set up. But when I’m just chilling around the house or cooking dinner, I don’t need this high bit rate stream, I would much rather use some thing at 256 or 320 KBPS. I know I can do this using airplay, but I prefer to use Spotify, or Tidal connect.  As it stands now, Sonos always takes the maximum quality stream.I have multiple teens streaming music in my house all the time, and we have a data cap with our Internet service provider. Would love the option of being able to use a lower bandwith stream for less critical listening and a higher quality stream when listening on hifi equipment. This will also be an issue when Spotify rolls out it’s high definition music option later this year.  What do you think, seems like

Hello!I just purchased a sonos arc and a sub and want to connect that to a benq Ht3550 projector. Was hoping to use the eARC from the projector to the sonos arc but the benq does not have eARC. My question is, can i use a AVR and then connect my device (Amazon Fire Cube) to the AVR and have the video go to my projector and audio through eARC and then be connected to the Sonos? This sounds simple but i have also heard people talk about the HDFury. My question is what is it that the HDFury can do which an AVR wont do? So confused!! 

I have a Sonos Amp powering two Sonance in-ceiling speakers, which were installed last December and have worked flawlessly for about 11 months. Absolutely zero issues since day one, and I’ve been completely satisfied and impressed.  But just recently, the system will play fine for around 30 - 60 minutes before a LOUD static/pop/crackling sound will occur for a split-second and then the music or TV audio immediately stops and the Amp goes into fault mode (alternating orange/white LED).  I have pulled both Sonance speakers from the ceiling to check the wires are still properly connected, as well as checking all connections at the Amp itself.  This issue occurs both while playing music through the Sonos app and while playing TV audio via HDMI ARC connection.  Since the issue occurs when playing through both wireless and HDMI input sources, I don’t believe it’s audio-input issue.  Could this be an overheating issue, and if so, why would this just now begin to occur after 11 months?  I have

I have had my system for about 2 months now.  As of this morning when I turned my tv on my rear speakers are only playing the background music and I am unable to hear the voices from the people talking anymore.  I have the rears set to FULL.  What could be causing the sudden change?

Hi,     Looking for some advice on a remodel.  We have an open family/kitchen/dining section that are re-doing and I want to install ceiling speakers.  For the Family room area, I already have an Arc soundbar.  I was planning to buy 1 amp and 3 in-ceiling speaker sets.  I would position 2 sets in the kitchen and dining section to ideally pair together, with one last set of speakers positioned above the couch to pair with the Arc.    My question is should this work? Do the ceiling speakers pair separately as a set or even individually? Or is it by the amp (so all 3 sets/6 speakers are one control/set of music)? I’ve read some other posts and it didn’t seem clear to me at least.       Any help or thoughts would be appreciated!

I am new to the Sonos experience and am in the process of setting up stereo paired Sonos One speakers.  My intended purpose is the use the speakers for listening to music.  I am thinking about maybe adding a Sonos sub.  Would a sub be worth adding to this set up is it more suited to Sonos Fives or TV surround sound systems?

Hello Everyone,Once again I think my Sonos expectations were incorrect and I did not do the research. I got a Sonos Sub (gen 3) today and realized that it will probably not pair up with my Sonos Connect.In my Livingroom I have the Connect patched into an Onkyo Receiver/Amp with a set of Wharfedale Diamond (WD) speakers.I wanted the Sub to mirror what was being streamed in or out of the Connect so that the sub would back up those WDs that are in the living room (TV/Music etc.).I have a Play 5 in one bedroom, a Five in another bedroom, a Move (useless here) in another room and a Boost (also useless here that I bought years ago).I grabbed the 5s and brought them into the living room to hear this Sub, but that is not the ideal setup. Linking the Sub to the 5s (that are in other rooms) is also not the ideal setup (Playing three dimensional volume/level adjustments etc.).To be honest I am not sure that the 5s need the Sub unless you get to very-very high volumes (to do the heavy bass lifting

Looking back in the support threads, it looks like its been about 7 years since people first asked for TuneIn to be enabled with login support like all the other services so we can enable playlists and Premium service.  Sonos clearly already has a partnership with TuneIn.  I’m curious about the level of effort to get this implemented.  

I’m looking to get a speaker for my studio and am not sure on the setup, room is quite small (100 sq. feet). I’m between the One, the Five or potentially a One pair. Any recommendations?

Hi Sonos Community!I have a bar with two tv’s and one Sonos amp connected to in-ceiling speakers. I would like the ability to choose either tv for audio playback via ARC to the Sonos amp. Is there an HDMI switch available that I can use to achieve this function? Right now I have one tv connected straight to the Sonos amp and the other tv uses it’s built in speakers.

can the amp drive 2 6.8 ohm speakers?jpc

Hi I have Disney+ installed on my AppleTV.When I watch movies via Netflix or HBO via AppleTV, I can normally just swipe down and select my Sonos One SL speakers as output, but it seems that this option does not exists in the Disney+ app. If I swipe down in the Disney+ app, I can only select Subtitles and Audio Language, not any devices. Does anyone know if this is a known limitation or an issue that can be fixed?  Thanks  :-)Jorgensen  

Hi everyone, I am new to Sonos and Dolby Atmos. I have a LG CX TV which features eARC and I ma using a Roku Ultra (2020) addition to stream. My Sonos Arc is connected to HDM2 (eARC) and my Roku is connected to HDMI4. For the TV the options for Digital Audio out are: PCM / Auto / Pass ThroughFor the Roku options are: Auto detect / Auto Pass through / or a bunch of specific options like PCM, Dolby Digital, etc… Originally I had the TV setup to Auto and the Roku Auto detect. When I did this, the Sonos said everything is Dolby Atmos which it obviously is not. When I selected pass through on both, it seemed to pick the right audio based on what it was. Also the volume was a lot lower. My question is. Is the auto setting better? Obviously the Roku is trying to convert everything to sounds like Atmos but I am not sure it is actually correct. What do you guys recommend?

So I have a question - I’m connecting my iPhone to wired pair of One SL’s via Airplay 2 using an IPhone.  I have several Patreon links as Podcasts that I can’t determine how to play any other way.  So this will play correctly on the room I connect to directly but other speakers as connected will often drop out.  So the behavior is that it connects correctly and other speakers/rooms added will often fail.  I assumed that Sonos would connect to Airplay 2 and then distribute on Sonos.  Is this not the case?

I just preordered two Roams but it got me thinking which is a better setup for outdoor listening, two roams or one move.  My backyard has wifi access so “multi-yard” sound is possible. Im just curious to hear opinions from Move owners.  

I can’t choose my individual sonos speakers for airplay. It has them and Apple TV bundled together. This only happens on my iPhone 

I would like to see a setting that allows a preset volume level to be selected so when a speaker is turned on it starts at that volume level. It's quite annoying that if a speaker has previously been listened to at a loud volume setting and then turned off - it remains at that level when it is next used. Sonos, please can you consider this?

Hi Guys,I am facing the following issue.I have some albums on my smartphone (huawei). In my phone, in each of the albums, the titles are properly ranked (Title 01, Title 02, Title 03,…. Title 10, Title 11,…, Title 20, Title 21). When I select the album from the sonos app, the titles are ranked differently (Title 01, Tiltle 10, Title 02, Title 20, Title 21, Title 03, Title 04…..)So it is easy to see that Sonos ranks them based on the first digit (excluding 0).If anyone knows how to solve it ?It is quite penalizing.Thank youG.

Ok, so i’m out of my depth here, which is mainly why I bought a sonos product  . I have read a lot of the post on the forums here now and I cant seem to find what I am looking for. So my setup at the minute is TV with ARC into sonos beam and all my inputs into the TV, works great I get 5.1 surround with my symfonisk ikea rears.It only gets tricky for movie night, I have a projector (VANKYO) with HDMI in and I would like to get the 5.1 to the beam. As its only once a week with the kids currently I unplug my firestick and plug it directly into the projector and get sound through an Amazon Echo studio. Its frustrating I have an awesome surround sound system sat there when watching as I cant quite work out how to get it all to work/what switch/matrix to get. 

Hello - I recognize there’s been some discussion about this here, but not recently. I am favoring the purchase of a 2020 Samsung Frame TV. But, have seen quite a bit of discussion about audio / sync issues with this particular TV (and other Samsungs). I am wondering if there are any folks who can cite clean, issue-free audio using a playbar The Samsung frame. Thanks in advance!

I’ve read through a similar thread that has since been closed and I don’t feel that it was thoroughly handled.We are diplomats that move every few years and it has been a bit of a challenge setting up our Sonos each time. We have purchased Sonos products in Canada, Europe, Uk and Japan and are now moving to Zimbabwe.Canada and Japan use the same power cable, Europe has their own and Zimbabwe and the UK use the same power cable. The trouble is, when you move to a country that doesn’t have Sonos support, you are left without functioning speakers. In theory, if you can get to a local Sonos dealer, you can order the appropriate power cable for your speaker and just swap it out (don’t need to worry about the voltage requirements). We did this for some of our N. American and European speakers.Now that I’m moving to Zim, I need the G type power cable used in the UK. I’ve contacted Sonos to see if I can order them and have them sent to my Japanese address before we leave as I think that will b

I am wondering what is my best option for a new home wifi system. The home will also feature a lot of internet plug ins. Mainly want in the living room and kitchen, with a porch speaker and possibly able to connect in Master bathroom. Thoughts?
