Hello Sonos family,Today I've bought Sonos Five speaker and right after unboxing I saw two strange things at the front. You can see it here:https://imgur.com/a/LNAFwQXIs it normal look of these speakers? Should I do something to make it disappear?

I've got an open, 15ft x 30ft kitchen & living room with concrete floors and high ceilings. I'm only going to be using the speakers for music and I'm wondering if its better to have with the sub in the middle:1) 4 Sonos Ones placed in the corners (ish) of the roomsOR2) Two Fives placed either at both ends of the room, or in the center.I already tried the Sub + Two Fives and it sounds amazing. I'm hoping I can save some money and have better sound dispersion by switching as it seems the Fives, as good as they are, may be overkill for that space. If it matters, I mostly listen to electronic music and what I call "90s adult contemporary"

I have a large collection of live music.  Currently it is stored on the hard drive of a windows desktop pc, backed up on an external hard drive).  I am due for a new computer that functions as my stereo, and I have been slowly moving off windows, so I may upgrade to Ubuntu for the next generation of computer that stores/plays music in my house.  But that isn’t my question (but if Ubuntu is a bad idea, feel free to tell me)….I am in the market for some wireless speakers.  I want to be able to play a playlist (which is a concert) that is currently stored on a hard drive on a computer in my office.  Ideally, I’d be able to play whatever concert I wanted in one or more rooms in the house.  Bonus points- I also need a nice sound system for the TV.  If the same speakers can play music from the computer OR play sound from the the tv in the living room, that’s pretty much my perfect setup.  And then I could get another speaker for the kitchen (we need music when we cook), and

I just bought a sonos speaker (symfonisk) and i want to play spotify on it. i added spotify using the app, logged in to spotify and permitted access.  Now i can open spotify in the sonos app i see all my playlists. On the spotify webpage is see my sonos account added to the accepted connections so all should be fine.When i start a spotify song from within the sonos app its giving me a loading circle for 15 seconds and it tells me that the song cant be played and that spotify is disconnected.The speaker has perfect connection and all other streaming services and radio work perfect. For some reason the authorization between sonos and spotify goes wrong on the speaker or in the app. I tried restarting my router and did a full reset on the speaker without any luck. Before people start giving me advice to update the speaker…. i allready did it today and checked again but there is no newer version. im on 13.0 build 1.20.3.3-2.0I always thou

Is there a way to copy sonos playlist from S1 setup to S2? I am running a dual setup in my house and I have playlists from S1 that I would like to bring over to S2.

So I fully charged my Move when I received it, used it for about 20 minutes and a week later tried to use it at a new location. When I tried to connect it, the lights on it were all dead. I know I can just charge it but do I have a lemon?Or when you move to a new location is this normal? Thanks!

I have the following components connected to my home theater:Sonos Amp Sonos soundbar Left and Right rear speakers Non-SonosI would like to connect a Non-sono sub woofer through the Sonos Amp sub woofer port.  I plugged in the subwoofer but I am not hearing any boom boom when I put stars wars on the home theater?

I wanted to revist my Sonos Amp setup vs my Sonos Arc setup, and give you guys a few thoughts. I posted a few days ago comparing some initial thoughts vs the Beam, Playbar and Amp, and I had a few more thoughts on the Amp vs Arc specifically.   Setup 1: Sonos Amp Rel Sub BW 685 Speakers Sonos Play:1 left and right Connected via Optical Adapter (HDMI Arc makes the Rel Sub hum)   Setup 2: Sonos Arc Sonos Sub Play One left and Right   A few quick notes on some questions people may have:   1.) Is the Arc worth it over the Beam and Playbar? I think it is, especially considering it will be around for years. It has noticeable improvements vs both. Beam Vs Playbar depends on your room size, but Arc vs everything else is more clear for me because the Arc has in general a better sound, sound stage, and atmos.   2.) Do you need to add a Sub or rear spe

Is it me or is the Move battery life ridiculously bad ?I have owned many portables (Harmon Kardon, JBL, Jawbone). They all make the battery life on my new Move a joke. How can a premium product so bad ? 

Hi! I bought I very nice setup for my new house (ARC, SuB Gen3, pair of One SL, AMP and 3 pairs of Architectural speakers…. I am very disappointed since I though the amp had more than one zone…I have wired my house for the ultimate experience…. I have also wired my backyard but it’s useless since I only have one expensive amp that can’t make the difference between my backyard speakers and my architectural speakers…Yes!!!  I saw some cheap speaker selectors that could make the trick but you need to select them manually… This is pretty basic stuff to be able to power up 1 set of speakers in that SONOS amp… I have something to tell to SONOS manufacturer.Why there is not a possibility to put something in the architectural speakers to be able to select à zone???? That would be good marketing too. If you need to use a specific zone, you need our amp and our architectural speakers…Now, I would need to purchase an 800$ Amp per each zone…. But my bathroom o

I am interested in purchasing a new Sonos Arc soundbar.  Current I am using an Onkyo TX-NR686 receiver which has all my components (Rogers TV modem, Apple TV and X-Box).  This is connected to my LG OLED 65C8PUA through the tv and Onkyo HDMI ARC connection. My question therefore is how to connect everything to a Sonos Arc.Would I be able to keep everything plugged into the receiver as it is now and then plug into the sonos somehow or,Could I plug all the components into the tv by hdmi and save the HDMI ARC connection for the connection from the tv to the Sonos Arc?I really have no idea if this is making sense to anyone including myself so I hand it over to you fine people to hopefully understand and advise me.I am new here and appreciate the fact that there is a forum here and good people to draw help from!Cheers,Steve

I have a roku TV with e arc... I have the beam and want to add 2 Sonos one speakers for surround. My question is will my roku remote adjust the volume simultaneously on both the beam and the Sonos ones?...or do I have to use the Sonos app to adjust the speaker volume in unison? 

Hi,I don’t understand how it works. I received a email asking me to send my Sonos Amp via UPS…. why?I readed we could keep or old product… so why do I need to send it?If you will replace it by a new one, what’s the price therefor?KR, David

For as long as I’ve been using Sonos, I’ve never been able to shuffle songs on Apple Music. It’s really frustrating. Not sure if it’s an Apple issue or a Sonos issue or both. Please fix this. :) I’d be so happy.

Is there anyway to play Apple Music from the Apple Music app to my SONOS group as is possible with Tidal?What I think I know is that Air Play is available to SONOS ONE but not when they are linked up in my group?Any advice on how to do it or for work arounds would be gratefully received.

I’m annoyed EXTREMELY with the Sonos insistence that I use the mobile app to add products etc.  I don’t have any password info on my mobile - they’re ALL on my laptop.  So even time I have to reset something and then add back an existing product I have to find my Sonos password and enter it manually (it’s automatic on the laptop). It is annoying in the extreme.Rant over (for now).Fortunately I’m a customer for more than 10 years, so I’m not giving up the benefits of Sonos over this.  A newer one might not be so forgiving.

My Bean has been experiences intermittent drops in audio ever since upgrading to the S2 app. I have troubleshooted this several different ways.  - Moved a One immediately next to it connected to same WiFi (both on static IP) on same power socket. One continuous to play fine without problems while the beam is cutting out intermittently. - Power cycled both the beam and the router to try to fix. - All on the latest firmware. - Both using Airplay to play to it without grouping on Sonos APP still doesn’t solve it. Grouping on Sonos App and playing through the app is the same problem.- Playing just through the Beam still cutting out.  At this point I’m out of ideas of how to fix or troubleshoot. It was working fine with no problems until I updated to the S2 app. Any help would be greatly appreciated. 

Hello Everyone,We’re building our basement and adding a family/theatre room.  The space is fairly large (~35x20) and I’ve had them wire the ceiling for two in ceiling speakers where the sofa will sit.  I’m trying to decide what route to take for the best Sonos surround sound setup.  Does the Sonos Arc support a setup that includes both  In-Ceiling (Sonos by Sonance) and Side Rear (2 One SL’s) speakers?  Said differently will it feed Dolby (Atmos, Dolby Digital, etc.) and other surround formats to all 4 rear (both the side and in-ceiling) surround speakers?  For example if rain is falling will the ceiling speakers kick in with that effect while sounds coming from the side would be driven through one or both of the side speakers and not the ceiling?  I’ve noticed in the Sonos Home Theater Speaker Comparison chart it shows the Sonos Amp (required to drive the In-Ceiling speakers) doesn’t support Dolby Atmos, Dolby Digital Plus and some other formats, which I assume

I can see that this has been requested in the past but then the posts seem to die a death with no sign of the feature being implemented in the app so...again...why can't we set an alarm to play on a specific group of speakers rather than only having the option to "include grouped rooms"? Use case: I have speakers in a bedroom, kitchen and living room. In the evening I often want to listen to music in the kitchen or bedroom while someone is watching TV in the living room so I ungroup my speakers. In the morning I want my alarm to play a radio station or play list on all speakers throughout the house. As it stands, unless I remember to re-group my speakers before going to sleep for the night the alarm will only play in the bedroom. Why can't I have a set of ticket boxes to select exactly what speakers to play the alarm on? The only possible reason to not have this feature that I can think of is that it could cause confusion or frustration if an alarm interrupts

I upgraded to the Sonos S2 app on my Mac awhile ago and notice that the Sonos S1 Controller is still in my Applications folder. Will dragging the S1 app to my Trash completely remove it or are there additional steps to make sure any related files are removed from my system?

Hi there, since the Mac mini has no optical out I was wondering if someone can guide me what usb dac or other converter should I buy in order to get the best out of my Mac mini. Want to use the playbar with a 5.1 setup in my home office. (Mac to playbar+Sub+2play1) thanks for your tips!

Just a friendly reminder to Sonos to work on getting compatibility with Google Podcasts

I've just upgraded from the Connect to a Port so I can use the new Sonos app across all my devices.  I think I'm probably OK to live without the buttons on the old Connect but it would be great if the Status Light on the Port showed white when it was playing but turned off when it's not playing.  There only seems to be an option to have the Status Light on or off in the app. - but that seems to be irrespective of the status of the Port.  So I might be missing something but in normal use it doesn't seem very useful...  Also since I'm playing through an amp Onkyo TX-NR696 (which turns on when I play from Sonos) I'm left wondering what happens when I turn the amp off.  Does the Port keep playing?  Maybe that's a philosophical question but it would be great if when I turned the amp off, that the Port knew and would stop playing and the Status Light would go out to show that.I'm not sure of the power consumption difference between playing and sitting idle but I know my old

Hi everyone, I’m new to the community. Have been a huge fan of Sonos and own quite a few of them. I was wondering if anyone can help me with this question - I have a connect amp, and just purchased a pair of Sonos outdoor speakers. I know the recommended amp is the newer Sonos amp with 125w per channel. Will I get away with using the Connect amp I already have?  And will I get good results from it?  If not, what are the downside?  Thank you 

Recently, the reminder that “It’s time to update” is not going away and stays on top of the screen. I get it. Sonos is becoming impatient. Fine. I will do it. But here is a sincere recommendation for the folks at Sonos:Every month I checked if there was a new meaningful release of the app. 8 months long I have been reading the same release note on the iOS AppStore: “Performance enhancements and improved reliability.” Of course, I checked the Sonos website and know about the changes in hi-res and WiFi 5 GHz. But the AppStore is your image, your business card.Sonos, this is so lazy. Take an example from other apps, whose release notes on AppStore are fun to read, which give you the feeling that there is a creative team behind the software, selling quality of life, not some generic software. Besides, reading these same release notes without end in sight gives me the feeling that S2 is ultra-buggy.This is just my thought. Don't know if other customers even read the
