Having replaced a Bose wireless speaker with the Roam, one feature I’m really missing is that the Bose would announce remaining battery life when powered on via the power button.  This served as a useful reminder that when I’m finished using it (or asap) I should place it on the charger.

I am trying to see if there is a way to split the signal coming out of a Roku Ultra to send one signal to my old Samsung TV and a separate signal to the Sonos arc.  My goal is to get Dolby Atmos sound out of my Sonos Arc.  My old Samsung TV doesn’t support Dolby Atmos pass through.I’m sure this is a common problem for many people with older TV’s.  I think there are only about 5 TV’s on the market right now that can pass through Dolby Atmos to a Sonos arc.

Is there any way to hide Port from the speaker/room list when it’s only being used as an input? I have it connected to a turntable but nothing connected to the output. 

Hi all, I have heard all about HDfury Arcana. I have an old Samsung TV from 2013 with Sonos Arc + Sub + 2 Ones SL. I am looking to push Dolby Atmos out from the setup.Arcana is good, but expensive. Am looking at a 4K HDCP compliant HDMI splitter (not HDMI switch) to split the source to 2 HDMI out, one for TV, one for Arc.Can this work? Thank you in advance.

Unless I’ve missed a trick, the MacOS 11 podcast app allowed me to drag a podcast into my music library for use with Sonos.  In newly updated MacOS 11.3 with an updated podcast app I cannot drag anything anywhere.Any suggestions welcome

Hi everyone! I'm new to the forum and haven't found any similar post so excuse me if there is already some thread that might be of help.I'll try to be concise. I've had a couple Sonos Play:1 (old gen, no airplay) for some years and I really like the controller and the fact that it integrates multiple streaming services I use (Spotify, Tidal, Soundcloud, Bandcamp, Mixcloud, Pocket Casts...). I also have a flash drive attached to the router with .mp3 and .flac files which is also available within the app, so it can all be controlled from a single app.After moving a lot I have finally settled and decided to get a decent HiFi. I've made some research and talked to friends and staff at good HiFi shops in my town and finally decided to get a Bluesound Node 2i, a Cambridge Audio CXA60 and a pair of Wharfedale Evo 4.2. Also a Pro-Ject T1 Phono SB, but it doesn't affect the question here. The Bluesound is connected to the CXA60 via coax, so I'm actually using the amp's built-in

How many in ceiling speakers pre-wires should I place in the Kitchen-Breakfast-Family room layout below? And what should be the position/installation layout?  Thank you   Will below placement work?

I recently received my Roam and fired it up. Sound is good for what it is, no complaints there. However I have to add my voice to the increasing complaints of the device turning itself on whenever the Sonos app is accessed, which subsequently drains the battery rendering it unusable until battery is charged for about 5 minutes (maybe more).  Advice of “just leave it on the charger” doesn’t work because it doesn’t come with the charger!!!! Said charger costs extra and is of course out of stock currently. Moreover, a simple phone charger (which charges my equally-if-not-more-capable Bose Soundlink Mini) charges the Roam at a snail’s pace!  Sonos you’ve dropped a bit of a clanger here - I would absolutely recommend a) not selling this device without its native charging dock b) NOT having the device turn itself on whenever the app is accessed.  I think a software update is needed quickly to prevent the above. Lastly, turning

Therfore, we tried to install Sonos Application to test it, but we got all app pages blank.My first question is, do I have to connect the app to a Sonos Speaker in order to be able to access "Browse", "Services and voice" tab and other informations?.My second question is that our radio RIM can be integrated to your Sonos Radio service which include about 60000 radio stations from the world?For information, RIM radio is integrated in many streaming system like TuneIn, Shoutcast, MyTuner.Please provide us your support.

HiDoes it cost anything for a DSP to be added to SONOS app?

I recently started having picture tinting issues with my Plex on Roku and decided to try AppleTV and Nvidia Shield Pro devices out. The Roku did a good job with the Atmos audio and converted DTS into a nice surround 5.1 so that I did not miss the DTS support on the Sonos Arc. I did some testing using Plex, Infuse and Kodi/Plex and came up with some odd results. I was trying to get feedback as to how others have solved the audio limitations of Plex with Sonos Arc. See included images. I am running Plex Server on a Synology DS1520+. The streaming devices are connected to a Samsung Q90T TV using eARC and a high-end 8K HDMI cable to the Sonos Arc.

This is a very unscientific analysis of the Roam battery drain after 3 hours of use.  Roam placement: Outdoors in partly shaded area Roam Mode: WiFiMusic source: SiriusXM Watercolors Jazz  and R&BOutdoor Temperature: 74 degreesBattery initial charge 100%Battery After 3 hours of use: 74%Average Battery Drain: 100 minus 74 = 26 divided by 3 = 8.67. 100 divided by 8.67= 11.53 hours estimated use.As I said in the beginning this  analysis has no basis in science, but can be used to suggest that the Roans battery use is approximately 10 - 11 hours under the conditions set forth. Of course your use may be equal or less. I doubt it would be better?

First of all; I am totally new to Sonos and have never owned a Sonos product before. After reading good reviews, I was thinking of getting 3x Sonos One for a hotel lobby. We are aiming to just play relaxing background music so I thought they would be perfect to syncronize them through some different rooms. However, I am a bit concerned that guests might be able to connect to the speakers and play their own music. If I establish a second WiFi and connect the Sonos to them, and disable Alexa/Google Assistant, will that be enough to avoid people from connecting, or can they still connect through cast/airplay? 

My Sonos roam will connect and play music on its own, but when I try to group my kitchen Sonos and it together it won’t play music!! You can stop and start music from either one but it won’t play, and vice versa when I play the kitchen Sonos then try and group the roam. Any help would be much appreciated.

Dear all When I’m starting the Sonos App from my Samsung Galaxy S10, then It never passes the startscreen. I just allways see this screnn, but no changes. I looks like a freeze.Meanwhile my friends can connect to sonos and play music.It also worked some time ago in the past.Currently the App version is the latest 11.2.7 - updated on 30. I have an existing 5.1 Non Sonos in ceiling surround home theater system wired to a Yamaha A/V Receiver. I would like to eliminate the receiver and add an ARC for Front Speakers and use the in ceiling speakers for surround speakers. I was planning on using a Non Sonos amp to power the ceiling speakers. Is this possible?  I was also planning to add a Port to this system to listen to music services. thx 

Building a house. Have access to wall or ceiling. Small TV/media room. Current have ceiling speakers wired but is this an ok choice? Should I make them in wall?

I purchased a Samsung TV Q90T with a Sonos ARC & surround sound speakers in November 2020 & have had nothing but issues.  For the first two months I had audio cutting out.  Samsung & Sonos finally got it figured out.  I was also experiencing Lip Sync issues & that appears to be resolved.  Sometimes I notice a delay, but not like it was.  This morning my TV was working fine & I turned volume down & when I tried to turn volume back up my surround sound stopped working.  Now I’m getting an error message saying Sonos Arc HDMI 3 No Signal.  I have disconnected my DVR, Wifi router, TV from ARC, & surround sound speakers & rebooted & refreshed my TV to no avail.  When I called Sonos Support their hours are Monday through Friday….REALLY?? I sent the CEO an email & asked why don’t they have support people available on the weekend when most people are at home on the weekend watching their TV’s.  I’m seriously considering taking my Sonos back & getti

Hi, I have a pair of Sonos Play:1 speaker which have been of limited use due to limited connectivity (no AirPlay support and requirement to get premium plans on Spotify/ and other streaming services via Sonos App)With the new Roam and AirPlay and/or bluetooth support - can I :AirPlay from iphone to Roam which then pairs & relays to Play:1 Connect fireTV to Roam (bluetooth) which then relays to Play:1Option 2 is to use Sonos S1 instead of Roam - with the downside that S1 does not gives you the portability of Roam

If i have an arc, sub gen3 and 2 one sl can I get a would they work with the Sonos amp if i wanted to connect a non Sonos sup to the amp! Would they all work together? Plus i have theater seats with sound shakers in them that require being hooked to a amplifier
