Call me crazy but would love to receive some kind of notifications on new stations being added and/or being removed whether in app in the email box or another way. Think it would help in promoting it to the masses as well. Also, having some way to “review” stations whether 1-5, thumbs up or down, or sometimes, often, alot or never would be nice. I know Sonos gets the usage numbers but it would be nice to have some direct input as well.
Hi,i have an arc sound bar installed on my fireplace under the tv. about ten feet back I have passive ceiling speakers wired to a new Amp (not connect amp) upstairs in a media closet. They sound fantastic but I would love a way to connect the Arc with these Passive Amp powered speakers. Right now I can only see an option to add Play 1s as surrounds on the arc. any options here to link everything together?
I have had problems connecting to my Synology NAS. Having tried looking for an answer on the web and getting nowhere I phoned Sonos and after an hour I was no further forward. I eventually found a workaround , not a solution. I found if I unplugged my two One SLs and connected to the NAS Library using the Play 1 which worked correctly. If you try the play music from the One SLs you end up loosing the music again and have the access denied message. However, if you play the music from the Play 1 and link either or both One Sls to the Play 1 you can play the music. The One SLs can only play whatever is playing on the Play 1. At least I can play my music. Hopefully this might get sorted some time, but not holding my breath.
I have a roku remote that is not an IR remote control. I paired it with my Sonos Beam when I first bought the Beam and used it for a couple of months. One day, the remote no longer controlled the volume on my Beam and sonos system. Can someone please tell me why this happened and what can be done to fix this problem so I can continue to use my Roku remote to control volume? Thank you,
Hi Sonos Imvery satisfied with your product , I could be even more satisfied if you could add 977 hitz channel daytona to your channel , thank you
Is it possible to stream internet audio from a MacBook through Sonos? Specifically, is it possible to stream audio from a website accessed on a MacBook, through either a PlayBar, or a Sonos Connect? When I open AirPlay on my MacBook, it shows another set of Sonos speakers I have (Play 5), but it doesn’t show either a PlayBar, or a Connect system I also have.If this isn’t supported directly in the Sonos app, are there any third-party apps that might do it?There are a number of old, closed threads on this topic, but I couldn’t find answers in any of them. Thank you!
Hello everyone, I’ve been struggling with a Sonos Play 1 speaker losing connectivity. I now believe the issue is that it can’t connect to our office Wi-Fi, as it works fine when plugged into a router via ethernet. However, the speaker belongs in our reception area, which does not have its own router. How can I restore wireless connectivity? My receptionist is missing her music and I don’t want her to have to purchase a new device. Thank you!
My Move will not make a sound. None of the button sounds or any music through either source.Rest of the system works fine.Is there a solution please?
Hi was wondering how long you guys are finding standby lasts on the roam. Had mine Wednesday, was on 79% yesterday got up this morning and down to 39%. Hasn’t been used so just in standby mode. Cheers Chris
I am replacing my Sonos Playbar with a Sonos Arc. The Playbar is currently mounted under the TV using a Sanus Universal Soundbar Mount (Model SASB1). Can I use that same mount for the Arc ? Mod Edit: Changed Play to Playbar for clarity.
hi,if I buy a Sonos Five can i add a external bluetooth adapter by using jack 3.5mm cable to the in line port?thank you
Hi. Today I bought a Roam in the hope that I could play music via Bluetooth on the Roam and play simultaneously on my Play1. But when I try to group I just get a message saying I need either compatible speakers or to have network connection. Both speakers have network connection, so does this mean I can play from the Roam to the Play1? I’ve tried grouping from the app and from the play/pause button on the Roam. Any help would be appreciated.
I had found a previous but closed thread about this that mentioned a “Share Button” but I’m too thick to find it in the interface on my macbook.
When glancing at my phone, I keep mistaking the Sonos notification icon as an eBay notification. Maybe update it with fillets (i.e. rounded corners) like your actual devices. Maybe even a capital “S” like your logo. regards
Hello! Can someone confirm whether a Sonos Amp will be compatible with a pair of Polk Audio L100s? The Sonos documentation for the Amp says “Your speakers’ power rating should be at least 125W for 8 ohm speakers, and at least 200W for 4 ohm speakers.”The Polk L100s are 4 ohm speakers and the documentation lists the Steady State Recommended Amplifier Power as 30-160W.I would think that would mean the Sonos Amp would be too powerful for those speakers, but I’ve even seen this combination recommended before online. Can anyone confirm whether this combination will work? Thanks!
Apple Music in June comes with hires sound, I read in various post that the native app in Sonos S2 is not available. With Airplay 2 from iPhone to Sonos Port I can stream lossless? Thanks Stefano
I have messed with the app and searched the forum and can’t find a clear answer. I see a lot of talk of Zones but in the app I don’t see any option for zones. I am using the new app. My normal setup is all speakers, Arc, Sub and Play 1’s as home theater surround sound. However when we are outside I would like to unplug the Play 1’s and have them just be a stereo pair for music. I have found I can remove them from the room, then create a separate stereo pair but this is very conversion. Each step takes a while for the app to update so you can do the next. Is there a better way? How do Insetup zones in the new app?
I’ve managed to resolve my issue with the Sonos app not finding the system over WiFi after updating iPhone to IOS14. Posting it in case it helps anyone else struggling with this issue. All other solutions I found online ie rebooting router, changing network privacy setting, unplugging speakers, uninstalling and reinstalling app etc all failed for me. Apparently an additional privacy feature introduced by IOS14 was the use of a private address when connecting your iPhone to a WiFi network. This option can be found by selecting your WiFi network on your phone. I turned this off and the Sonos app immediately worked.
I have a new Beam and have set it up with two Play 3s - works fine.We also have a Sonos One - is it possible to add this to the surround sound so that it’s volume can be controlled when we use the Beam?
I have 2x Sonos Play:1, which are no longer available.Question: is One SL compatible with Play:1? Thanks
Hello, I have connected my youtube to sonos but I cannot see any else except the auto playlist. I have created a new one but it does not appear in the sonos. Can you navigate me, please?
I'm wondering how to solve my challenge. The setup is:Apple 4kTV HDMI to Optoma UHD380x optical out with HDMI converter to SONOS BEAM (Sonos beam paired with 2 play one and SUB)I guess the reason why I get STEREO PCM as listed input is that the conversion through the Optoma beamer or the conversion from the Optoma optical out to beam HDMI in port. Would there be a solution to get both the image onto my OPTOMA and the sound to my BEAM with 5.1 instead of Stereo PCM?! thank you so much!I guess the Optoma is the issue because the SPDIF only supports - SPDIF Out (2 channels PCM).beamer: https://www.projectors.co.uk/optoma-uhd380x-projector/Is there something like an HDMI splitter so that I directly after the Apple 4K tv split the audio from video into two HDMI cables; one going to the beamer and one to the Sonos Beam?
I can’t get the swipe feature with the Move speaker to skip songs or go to previous songs when playing from the Spotify app or Sonos S2 app. I have a paid account with Spotify. Move is up to date. Play/pause and volume buttons work fine. Is this a “when applicable” situation? Or am I overlooking a setting?
Hi all,I’m after a bit of guidance here, I’m buying a house that has two wired ceiling speakers in each of 4 rooms that I would like to make use of. I believe they are Sonos speakers, they may be a good few years old, but I see no reason why I cant install an up-to-date setup that enables these four separate zones to be used. What would I need to buy to do this?I’ve done some research, but struggling to get my head around this. Do I need a multi-channel amp? Do Sonos even make one? Or do I simply need to buy 4 x Sonos Amp’s (one for each room/zone) and stack them? I think it might be as simple as that, I buy 4 x Amps, connect them to the internet and name them appropriately for each room/zone, control them from Sonos app on my phone? Is that it? Or is there something better I can do?
