Sonos Play 1 speaker no longer connects to Wi-Fi

Hello everyone, I’ve been struggling with a Sonos Play 1 speaker losing connectivity. I now believe the issue is that it can’t connect to our office Wi-Fi, as it works fine when plugged into a router via ethernet. However, the speaker belongs in our reception area, which does not have its own router. How can I restore wireless connectivity? My receptionist is missing her music and I don’t want her to have to purchase a new device. Thank you!

Connect it with that Ethernet cable, then submit a diagnostic and call Sonos. They’ll be able to tell you if the WiFi card is failing.

You could also try the nuclear, last chance option of a full factory reset, and then adding it back in, but I would honestly wait until after talking to Sonos.

Hi Bruce, thank you for your reply. I’ve submitted that diagnostics ticket now.

Make sure you call in, too. Just submitting a diagnostic doesn’t generate a response.
