It seems to be well known that the Port suffers from a problem with the Variable Output sound quality.Has there been any firmware upgrades that fix this? What is the likelihood that this will be solved going forward?I am about to invest in a complete system for our new house. Right now, because of this issue, I am leaning towards a Bluesound solution. But like the Arc more than the Soundbar 2i, so would like to use Sonos. But need the Port for interface with a high-end audio system and cannot compromise on the sound quality.
Hello I have a question,I currently have a Sonos Arc, sub and 2x Sonos one in the living room.in addition one Simphonysk in the bedroom. If I will add a port with a turntable (with its preamp of course), do I need specific speakers (pre-amplified of course) to connect directly to the port, or can I cast the vinyl directly to the other existing Sonos speakers that I already have?In general, would be better to connect the turntable to a sonos five or to a port?Any differences in the DAC between the 2 components?thanks
Looking to install 3 amps in pool house so yes protected from the elements but not temperature controlled. Will this be an issue for cooling in the summer? Not worried about winter because they’ll be brought in.
Apple have just announced CD quality and 24bit high resolution lossless playback for Apple Music coming in June 2021. Is Sonos going to be able to play these lossless files direct from Apple Music like Tidal?
Tengo una duda se puede dañar mi sistema de sonido sonos play 3 si escucho al máximo??
PC app on Win10 tried to update, now the app doesn't work and I keep getting this message when trying to update. Yes, I restarted the PC twice already. Same result. Useless. I have spent way to much of my time trying to make this overpriced garbage work. Its like a new bug infuriates me every day. Stuff should update automatically and without me giving a care, and yet here I am seeking a resolution on Google, and complaining because and update has disabled the app completely! Sonos has ZERO quality control, and utter scorn and contempt to its customers. When this trash finally expires, I will not be replacing it with Sonos. Life's too short for crap. Sonos is utter crap.
I have been lurking on these forums since I pre-ordered the Roam a month or so back. In the last few weeks I have been watching the threads about battery drain closely. I, like others, am experiencing what I consider sub-par battery performance.Since the software update last week (13.1) I expected improvement, but the device appears to still wake itself up (white light on at random times) and thus drain battery.I saw a suggestion that the device was designed to constantly be sat on a QI charger when not in use. I have several Native Union QI charger’s around the house (rated: AirPods up to 5W, iPhones up to 7.5W & other Qi compatible devices up to 10W). I have been leaving the Roam on these chargers when not in use. Upon placing on the pad the white light will turn on, I assumed by design, but whenever I lift the Roam off these pads the battery is usually very low. What’s going on? This device is very close to being returned.(Ps. We have no other Sonos products so I only have the ap
Hello, I have spent the last few months trying to sort out the best new sound system for my living room. Sonos ARC + sub + 2x One SLs seem like love at first sight for me but I didn't get it yet because of 1 reason:I want dedicated front left and right speakers for a wide sound stage.I know I am not the only one asking for this. Can we gather enough people to convince Sonos to do this?If they would announce this, I would get the whole package without a heart beat. Cheers!
[Solved: see 4th post] Hi! This is quite odd: My Roam in Bluetooth mode allows me to adjust the volume, no problem. My Move doesn’t. The volume slider on the phone changes, but it has no effect on the actual volume. That can seemingly only be controlled when I hit the touch buttons. This is quite ridiculous, given it should be very similar firmware and adjusting your volume in Bluetooth mode seems like a very common use case for a speaker that’s supposed to be used, on the move, without available Wifi. When is a fix for this coming? Should be trivial, given it already works with the Roam. Thanks. L
Hey for all I am looking to buy Sonos arc but I am curious about something and my question is when using arc while watching for example YouTube will the arc decode that as stereo and if so , will the Sonos arc work only like a 2.0 soundbar meaning only the left and right channel will work ? thanks so much for everyone .
Sound cutting in and out on my Sonos Arc after playing Dolby Atmos content on Apple TV 4K I’ve had my Sonos Arc and Sub Gen 3 for about two weeks now and I’m very satisfied with the sound quality, but I’m having some very annoying issues with audio cutting in and out… I have the latest LG OLED TV, a LG GX (same as the CX, just wall mounted). The only two boxes I have hooked up to my TV is an Apple TV 4K and a PS4 Pro, but I’m having sound issues on my Apple TV.Before I explain the problem, yes, I’ve pretty much done all the troubleshooting I can do. Plug everything in and out, check that the cables is properly connected, updated everything, the Arc, TV and Apple TV, everything should be up to date as I’m writing this post. Okay, so here’s the issue, with a half ish solution. My issue: If I play any content that supports Dolby Atmos on iTunes, Apple TV+, Netflix etc. and try to play some music through the Apple Music app or watch any video on YouTube on my Apple TV after that, the audi
Recently my MacOS Sonos app on my 2019 Macbook Pro can no longer find my Sonos system. Every other device that accesses my home netowrk has zero issues, and this same laptop has connected with the app previously. I have restarted my network, restarted the laptop, and deleted/reinstalled the the MacOS app and it still fails to find the Sonos system 100% of the time. I am not on a VPN or anything like that, just directly connected to the same wifi as every other device in my home. Diagnostic 525267267
Hi,Long-time SONOS user here but now considering expanding and upgrading my system to include a soundbar (Arc or Beam), sub, and upgrading my old Play:1s with One SLs.The problem I have is that I’m not sure I have space for a soundbar. Got a Panasonic TX58DX902B here, which we like and unlikely to upgrade any time soon. On the supplied stand, the bottom of this TV screen is only 40 mm above the surface of the unit on which is sits. The height of the Beam is 68.5 mm.The height of the Arc is 87 mm.Both of these soundbars would be higher than the bottom of the TV screen.I don't want to wall mount the TV, but I suppose I could consider getting a plinth on which it could sit.The other alternative is that the soundbar could sit on the metal base, below the cabinets or I could wall mount the soundbar behind the TV.Any good suggestions on what to do here, please? Thanks,Steve
Hi all,After last week’s software update on my Sonos Arc, my Arc does not play any TV sound anymore unless I physically remove the power from it. I am, however, able to play music through the Arc just fine (via the Sonos app). Here’s my setup:Apple TV 4K LG C8 OLED HDMI ARC linkThe problem occurs after the TV has been switched off and then switched on again. Nothing else changed in my setup or device firmware except for the Sonos software update.Anyone experiencing this as well? Any tips or ideas? Thanks!
Hi!The music streaming service “KKBOX” currently launched high res. music streaming and just would like to know if this work with the SONOS speakers? Hope someone from SONOS can help to advise, thanks!!
After receiving the new update, I noticed using the arc, that when i switch sources mid playback, I end up losing all sound and have to unplug at least one device for a brief moment to regain it. my setup is the arc connected to my 2018 qled tv, and the nvidia ShieldTV as a media playerin order to get the atmos features i run that system with the hdfury arcana in between, and i think it might have to do with this setup, but as it worked before and is now broken after the update, I blame sonos. The error occurs whenever I switch from regular TV from the built in sat-tuner to the external source that is the ShieldTV, I lose all sound. Can someone else confirm?I read from users over at reddit, that experienced the same, but need to mention it here, so that it gets seen by moderators and developers.
Why the trueplay is not YET supported on my iPad Pro 11-inch (2nd génération). It’s unacceptable.
Hi everyone, The system: I own a pair of Sonos One (about two years old) and a Move (7-8 months old). The Ones are placed on opposite ends of the apartment. The Move is back in the back corner. The network: AT&T fiber with two UniFi boosters. The problem: The Move works great, anytime, all the time, no matter what I’m doing with it. My issue is with using both One speakers and how it affects the app on my phone. Here’s a list of what happens on a regular basis, sometimes all at once:Music cuts out intermittently Speakers don’t show up Delays with the controller The controller being completely blank Not having any control on which speaker is being used Music playing on a speaker or simply not stopping even when it’s not showing upThis has been going on for the past 3-4 months. No issues with ANY other smart device in our home except the two One speakers. They’re not connected to Ethernet cables and it’s not an option. The option to change channels is greyed out. Things I’ve done to
I am looking to update our TV to 32” Smart TV. I have seen an LG tv that fits the bill but it has HDMI 1.4 ports, not the latest iteration. One of the Ports is labelled ARC. Am I correct in thinking the BEAM will be compatible or do I need a TV with HDMI 2.0?
Hey,I get the Sonos Roam and it’s working really great on my iPhone but when I use on my MacBook Air M1 with Airplay the sound is playing when I reboot but after a while or standby of my computer and I switch again on Airplay I have no sound. If I try Airplay with my iPhone it works and if I restart my Macbook it works too. Any idea? Thanks,
I’m looking to attach my Sonos Beam to a MantelMount 540, and am curious if others have a particular mount they found works best with this configuration. I know of the highly regarded Sanus one, but am not sure this would allow for the use of the MM handle. Thanks in advance!
Are there plans to get a widget for controlling the most used speakers in your home? I would love to be able to turn up and down the volume on my playbar from the home screen.
I have a 65x900b Sony series with and Sonos Arc connected in hdmi arc port. Also I have an amp for rears. Built-in Netflix tv app play 5.1 with no problem but none of the third party streaming devices play DD+ or Atmos, only stereo. I tested Roku ultra, google tv, PS4 and apple tv.
Please can you tell me when the App is going to be updated to fix the constant having to reconnect to the WiFi, people are spending a great deal of money to buy sonos products, so I think the least you can do is give us an App that is reliable please, after all, the speakers are fantastic, so please match them with a fantastic APP. Thanking you. Stephen.
Hi, Anybody knows how to check Roam’s battery level when connected by Bluetooth? Thanks
