I want to buy a sonos arc and I would like to know if it has a cable connection for my yamaha subwoofer, thanks and greetings from Spain
I have an eArc TV with 3 HDMI input to it with a eArc receiver, and 5.1 surround from it. All of this is tucked away in an AV cabinet with a single HDMI in-wall cable between connected to the wall mounted TV. I’d like to replace my 5.1 receiver & speakers with the Arc + Sub + Play for surround. I am wondering how to best connect my 3 HDMI video sources to the TV + Arc without running 3 HDMI cables in the wall between the AV cabinet and the TV. Is HDMI splitter the only way ? Any recommendations ?
Hello! I guess this is the best place to send a suggestion to Sonos. I have a pair of Fives with a Sub. This setup is incredible. If I were able to use the dual sub functionality with the setup, it would be amazing as the bass response would be even better. Sonos, it would be awesome if you added dual sub functionality for stereo pair setups. Thanks!
Hi! i bought my roam today and allready encountered the following problem: My tv is connected to my Sonos Beam. I can group the Roam to the Beam and both play perfectly if i’m streaming from spotify. But if the audio of the TV is playing, the sound on my Beam is perfect, but the roam gets constant audio dropouts. The sound is interrupted (or faltered, skipping, don’t know the correct word in English). It is receiving the audio but is unable to play it without these cutouts… my sonos One and Play1 and symfonisk don’t have this problem. any help?
So just got the Roam last week and getting myself set up with Spotify. Thought I would see how the sound was on the Beam under my TV as I hadn’t had music to play on it. Of course, it was louder and definitley sounded more robust. I wonder if i could get some of the same effect if I went to Spotify Premium which IO understand has better music effect. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
i have a sony phone using android version 7. My sonos s2 app (version 12.2.2) is prompting me to download the new version 13.0.01 which I understand is not compatible. I cannot use my app, and i cannot download the new version. What should I do ? is there an older version of the s2 app that I can reinstall so I can still control my system?thanks
Hello all, I’m after so advise regarding my PS5 set up. I currently use a speakerless gaming monitor with my PS5, but I use a USB speaker for the audio. I’m looking to upgrade that speaker to a Sonos Beam, but to connect the Sonos to the monitor it needs either a HDMI ARC or Optical output, which my monitor doesn’t. So, my question, If I purchase an Audio Extractor with Opticsl output, would that work?HDMI in from my PS5 - HDMI out to my monitor/Optical out to my Sonos speaker?
Super keen to get the Sonos Arc + Sonos Sub for my 82" TV which has earc output.QHowever, the only thing stopping me, is I have a Popsical Remix karaoke device, that can only output audio through a 3.5mm analogue port. My question is if I can add on a Sonos Amp (I know a lot of folks use Amp to power additional speakers, but I wanna use it to connect legacy audio devices), then connect my Popsical Remix using a 3.5mm to RCA cable to the Amp, and have the Amp pipe audio wirelessly (or wired via ethernet cable to my Sonos Arc + Sub. Would this setup work? If it doesn't.. Then it's a deal breaker for me and I'm stuck with my Jbl bar 5.1 which has an AUX 3.5mm input port :(
This may be an odd ask, but is there any way to add my Android speaker to the speakers Sonos has available to connect to? There are times when I'm listening to some music on my Sonos speakers in the living room and want to continue listening when I go out to the backyard, the garage or the bathroom for just a minute, but would like to keep listening. Since I have my phone with me, it would be cool to simply add my phone to the speaker group.Yes, I realize the sound would not be Sonos quality, and that I could take a Move speaker with me, but I don't have one yet, plus it would be inconvenient having to take my phone AND a Move just to quickly check the burgers on the grill or run to the bathroom! 😎 Allowing Sonos to also play over my Android speaker seems like it would solve my dilemma.
I decided to hold off on Sonos S2 upgrade when it was all the rage last year. I was concerned about messing up my system and wanted to see how it was all going before applying the upgrade.I’m unable to find any coverage about what, if anything, it has actually delivered. It implied sweeping changes and delivery of cutting edge concepts, but nearly a year of water under the bridge, there doesn’t seem to be anything new.I was hoping it might restore the ability to play directly off iPhone/iPad devices, which was a huge deterioration in functionality which didn’t seem to affect other brands of smart speakers.if someone could let me know what new functionality I am missing out on with Sonos S2, so I can make an informed decision whether to upgrade or not, that would be great.cheers all
Hi, I am using a Sonos beam on my TV. Due to my bad hearing and a long distance between the couch and TV I would like add my Sonos roam to the set up, so I can have the sound closer to me when watching TV.I am able to group the roam and beam temporarily using the app but I neither can I group them permanently through the system setting nor can I use the grouping via the play button. This means I always need to re-group the two via the app in order to watch TV. Why is one button Grouping feature (https://support.sonos.com/s/article/3391?language=de) not working for TV audio and is there a different work around existing?Thank you
Can you switch that light off ?
ARC looks great and comes in 2 colors - black and white. However the white Arc comes with a black power cable only. It ruins the design experience for me. What were the design department thinking?
First of all, I have been doing some research but I did not find any answer that satisfied me, if there are any similar questions I apologize. I have a Beam and two One’s in surround. My problem is that I have a Wii U, which transmits audio in Dolby Pro Logic II, however, the Sonos app only shows PCM Stereo, the Wii U is connected directly to the TV via HDMI and the Beam by ARC.The first question is: does the Beam supports Pro Logic II?I have tried to change the input of my TV to Bitstream and it removes all the sound from the back, but when I switch to PCM, I have sound back, but however, I do not know if it is “fake” surround or is it really working in Pro Logic II, since the app only shows PCM Stereo. Is it in Pro Logic but by the nature of Pro Logic, the Sonos app shows me that is Stereo?I would like to add that the Wii U is not compatible with Dolby, however, they released an update where the original Wii games (which are the ones I play) will work with Dolby, so I do not know if i

If I play Qobuz via AirPlay I can now get Hi-Res quality music, it tells me. If I go through the S2 App to Qobuz it doesn’t tell me if I am getting Hi-Res music - can you tell me if the S2 App is streaming Hi-Res music from Qobuz? Many thanks. John Salmon
I have a Sonos Beam and One SL speaker and would like to connect my ulitmate ears megaboom. Any advise is much appreciated!
Hi, We are having a loft converted and I am creating a TV/cinema space. I am intending to buy an Arc but am concerned about its effectiveness given the shape of the room. The room is rectangular, but has sloping ceilings as per the attached image. Could someone offer any advice?
I spent thousands of dollars on Sonos products I have many of each in the Roam sux I agree with all of the other users of Rome the battery does not last no matter what you do I want it fixed otherwise I’m sending back every product that someone else has ever sold me
How do I set up my Sonos Roam to play my music list on my Ionic?
IKEA seems to be selling the SYMFONISK table lamp as an “outgoing product” and “as-is non-refundable”.https://appleinsider.com/articles/21/05/01/ikea-sonos-airplay-2-symfonisk-lamp-may-be-on-the-way-out/amp/
Hi,I am new to this community, so am hoping for some advise as I am defining increasing frustrated. I’ll try and summarise the situation the best I can but will advise on my setup first;I have just moved home and the setup of my new network isn’t working. Not all my products appear on my network at one time. I have a mesh network, never had problems before, only difference is I have changed ISP from Sky to BT.When I open the app to try and control the the speakers the speaker isn’t there and then I try the standard on and off trick etc etc. I have the following products;ArcPlay OneX2 Ones Play three Please help I’m becoming very frustrated as it’s currently not working like it used to?ThanksMatt
I usually group all our 10 speakers in one group an adjusting volume in the app for the group. When i reduce to zero and increase to desired level all are perfect in sync having same volume. Only exception is the roam playing only half the volume and needing manually adjustment which is really annoying. Support is simply not coming with any usefull solutions or answers. Thinking of returning the roam.
I get this email about upgrades and I have no idea what the upgraded product does nor do I know how it compares to what I have now. Since you know what a customer has, it would help if you provide that information. I have no idea where to go to find the answer. This support system is very confusing for an over 50 user.
Music from Spotify on TV source sound better than Spotify app music source from the Sonos app. (Bass hits harder from tv source) Has anyone noticed this?I just installed the Spotify app on my tv to play music. I have an Arc, surrounds and Sub. I played Anywhere by Rita Ora, and the bass hits so much nicer than if I were to play it from Spotify on the Sonos app. Super noticeable at the 1:06 mark, and 1:48 mark. Now I wished that when I played music through the Sonos app to have it sound like it was from TV source.
