After last update, no TV sound from Arc unless rebooted

Hi all,

After last week’s software update on my Sonos Arc, my Arc does not play any TV sound anymore unless I physically remove the power from it. I am, however, able to play music through the Arc just fine (via the Sonos app).

Here’s my setup:

  • Apple TV 4K
  • LG C8 OLED
  • HDMI ARC link

The problem occurs after the TV has been switched off and then switched on again. Nothing else changed in my setup or device firmware except for the Sonos software update.

Anyone experiencing this as well? Any tips or ideas?

Thanks!

Update the Arcana to version 0.82. They fixed the issue with sound loss.

Try disconnecting the Arc from your TV, unplugging your Arc and TV from power for about a minute, and redoing the TV Setup process in the Sonos app.

13.1 broke Arcana HDFury compatibility, but you don’t seem to be using one of those, however it could be the same underlying bug.

Actually, yes, I am!

I see I didn’t put that in my setup above. Do you have any more info on the issue (and if anything is in the works to fix it?).

Thanks

HDFury is aware of the problem. I’m sure they are currently working on fixing it. You can read the latest on their Discord forum:
