This started lately. The music drops out. It’ll be gone for 5-10 seconds. When it comes back the song is 5-10 seconds further along, so the song isn’t stopping or anything. It’s only happening on my One, not my Play:1. In fact if I have them both playing at the same time the song will continue playing on the Play:1 It only happens with Spotify. Tried with Youtube music etc.I’ve also asked Google Assistant questions when the drop happens to try to see if it was a connection issue and it had no problem connecting.
I found a new way to control my Sonos using buttons over WiFi and NOT through Iphone, Andrioid, or Bluetooth. Fairly new, the Leviton Four (4) Button Wifi controller #DW4BC fits in a regular wall switch box and wires to 110v.. Once configured, up to four switches can control Sonos via IFTTT, which is referred to as If This Then That. Available at IFTTT.com. Before diving in, I have already heard this solution is costly and convoluted to some. Yes I know there are other buttons, but this works well for my building, and empowers people without Sonos accounts to listen or stop Sonos without asking me to control the music…. like when a phone rings. It solves my original problem where speakers are not easily accessible so the buttons are useless. And I won’t allow Siri or Alexa in this building. No longer do people bug me to control the music. They do it now with buttons and not running App software logged into MY Sonos account. My BUTTON solution works like this…Add a Leviton DW4BC wir
I have an Arc, sub and 2 play 1s setup. For a month now the setup was fine. No sound issues at all. No changes made to my network either. Since yesterday my arc keeps dropping out intermittently. For no reason whatsoever. I have tried wifi and ethernet. Same issue. I have had to turn the arc off and revert to TV speakers Diagnostics submitted are 726026310. Please can someone at Sonos help.
Does Sonos Beam work with Samsung 7 Series UN65TU700DF?
As per the title, I came across this YouTube guide and it's quite useful. Using a simple tool you can get a powered sub to sync and receive audio from the ARC/other Sonos stuff too https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Bvof0hF4LE
Please help, I’m going crazy with this. I have multiple Ports and a Move (no soundbar), and I can’t get the Sub 3 to connect to anything. I’ve reset the Sub countless times, but it can’t get assigned to anything. So it just sits there like a paperweight laughing at me. Any help would be great, thank you!!

Hi Guys and Gals. Since last night I have lost my surround sound capability. Was working perfectly fine. Came through about 2am and notice one of them pulsing white light. Looked on the app this morning and found this on the app. So with this I deleted them off the system and had to reset to factory settings to see them again of the system. Connected them up again, worked fine individually. But as soon as you connect them to surroundsound and error occurs halfway through the set up and knocks out the two speakers. Thus having to reset them to factory settings again I’ll start the whole process again.
Has any one any issues in which parts a track are missing?the device (SONOS One SL) will not play the higher frequencies from an audio track that is streamed to it. One piece of the track is so quiet you can barely hear it and makes it hard to listen to as that is what makes the song that song. Other devices such as my Television, Phone, and PC it will play perfectly fine with that frequency and the track is then whole. It seems as if the speaker is just total junk in comparison to the built in speakers house speakers in my last house from 1999 which seem to have better treble and bass response (Those are Sonance Speakers). Is it crazy to expect something to work correctly?I have also tried changing the very basic equalization settings and they do nothing. (My phone has better equalization than this speaker it could be because Samsung bought Harman/Kardon))
Looking at Amp for existing outdoor speakers as well as one for hooking up to existing high end floor speakers. Want to optimize the output without overkill. Does anyone have a recommendation for either of these?
Thank you in advance for your time and consideration. I am just learning about Sonos and how it works.I would like to know if the following scheme makes sense, and if i have the equipment correct.I am trying to use the minimum amount of equipment. My understanding is each zone needs its own Amp, except if they are sound bars.Zone 1 is meant to serve mostly the kitchen but allow people in dining area to hear the speakers as well. It is connected to its own Amp.Zone 2 is meant to be primarily for the TV, I am hoping that it can also play in sync with zone 1 when desired via the Sonos App.Zone 3 is for the outdoor patio. I am not sure how the speakers should be mounted to serve the most area. Zone 3 needs to be able to play its own sound, and sync with Zone 1 when desired. It is connected to its own Amp.The master bedroom will have a sound bar that is completely independent from all other Zones. Is this correct and possibly? Is there anyway to reduce the number of Amps needed?
Hi, I am seriously considering purchasing a pair of IKEA Symfonisk lamps, but just have a quick question regarding controlling the volume. If I pair them up, I’m aware that using the app I can adjust the volume and it will adjust them both together. That’s great and what I would want. What happens if I use the volume buttons on the lamp itself though. Would it adjust the lamp on the other side of the bed as well?(again, if paired)This is what I’m hoping will be the case, but wanted to clarify before going and getting them. Thank you!
Hello.I have two Sonos Fives. When I connect a turntable to Sonos Five and listen to a record, there is no sound from one of the speakers. I unpaired and reconfigured, but it didn't improve. Is there any way to improve it?
Hi, Apple Music Activity playlists are no longer showing within the new Sonos S2 controller app. All playlists are available to see within the Apple Music app. I have contacted Apple and they have stated this is a Sonos issue. I have submitted diagnostics - 1090078363. This has never been an issue before - always worked fine before the S2 controller update,
I am enjoying listening to Amazon Unlimited Music on my Sonos Move speaker on the patio. Since I can just say “Alexa, play oldies on my Sonos Move,” I am insulated from the details of the connection, but I am curious. I assume this connection takes place over my home WiFi network, but I wonder if it is possible, after my Amazon music session has been shut down, if my friend can then pair his phone (which has no Alexa app and no Sonos app) with the Sonos Move speaker. Thanks for helping me understand the details. Ken Traynham
A couple of questions before I begin my setup for my WD My Cloud NAS.This will be my first time using NAS. First, I’m replacing my 12 year old Mac with a Windows Lenovo laptop. Yes I guess it would be a downgrade but I’m shifting into retirement mode in the next 2 years. I’m not on the Mac as much these days. Plus I can’t justify the cost $$$ of another Mac when I’m only on it when I’m downloading music and photos. And now with a NAS coming. I am going to miss it. Anyway, the laptop will be here on Monday. My NAS (without the disk drives) is scheduled to arrive today. I purchased the NAS diskless. I just purchased 2 4TB drives this morning so I’m assuming they will be here by Monday. So when my NAS arrives today can I set it up without the drives? Or will I have to wait for them to arrive before I can set it up? If I am able to do the setup on the NAS without the drives should I do setup with my very old and very very slow Mac (and 2 external drives)? Or should I wait for my new Window
With the Sonos Arc, can I use a Play One and a Sonos One as the rear surround speakers?Do I need a Sub or does the Arc provide the Sub qualities?
There’s no location in my space for a sub woofer but wondering if surround speakers like SL’s are worth it or a waste of time. Thoughts?
I have purchased a Sonos Beam and very happy with it but unfortunately my TV will not connect as it does not have HDMI Arc or optical out. So I am upgrading my TV but Most TVs now seem to have HDMI EArc and not just HDMI Arc will my new Sonos Beam work with HDMI EArc?Are there any TV brands that have issues that I should avoid.Thank You
I would love to do some more advanced settings Sonos Amp, for example "more EQ settings".This is more a wish for extended functionality then a question. / Henrik
Was excited to receive my Sonos Roam, but wow what a disappointment! This thing has to be within 6 inches of you and volume at 80-100% to be heard, anything below 50% volume and you might as well just put on headphones. Called customer support did the diagnostic thing, no issue found even with the phone less than 3 inches from the speaker the rep couldn’t hear it if it was below 50%. Of the 8 Sonos products I own this is the one I will be returning.
hi I want to add a sub gen3 to my existing system (playbar+2 Sonos one gen2) can the subge3 work with my system to become surround system 5.1?
Hi. I’m fairly new to Sonos, so hoping to get some advice.Currently, I have one Sonos AMP driving four architectural ceiling speakers in an open plan living/dining room (2 speakers in the living area, 2 in the dining area)In the living area, I plan to install a Sonos ARC and SUB.I’d like to use the 2 ceiling speakers in the living area as rear surrounds when watching TV. But I also want all 4 ceiling speakers to play music independently from the HT system. What’s the best way of achieving this? Thanks
Hello, i am a music lover and in search of Bluetooth speakers for myself. I liked sonos speakers but i have observed that these are too much expensive and out of my budget. Can anyone tell me the reason why *** Sonos products are expensive? *Moderator Note: Modified in accordance with the Community Code of Conduct.*
So I love our Sonos-system but i have kids that sometimes have trouble starting up music in their rooms and if not being at home we can’t really help at the moment. Been checking out different apps but not really found a good one and when asking the Sonos support the only way to do it is to remote control a unit on the network. That is possible but would really have been a lot nicer to just be able to do it through a app or something. So guess I would like suggestions but would also like to lift the subject for a update in the Sonos app which is what i would like the most.
