What is a good replacement for Sonos. Since they no longer support my devices such as a Connect:Amp I need to replace it. And I'll be damn if I give another penny to Sonos so they can drop support on it later.My Connect:Amp devices disappeared after installing the S1 app.Dale

Hello, I cannot seem to find any information regarding the topology of an ARC, AMP & SUB configuration. I am building a room for an ARC, an AMP and (1) Sub. I’m not clear how Sonos connects the amp when utilized as a surround device. In short, can I have the ARC and SUB in the room with the connected display and the AMP located in a network closet wired both to the ceiling speakers and connected to the network via CAT6. I’m not clear if SONOS joins them as a network device or a wireless device, in which case I presume there are proximity/distance limitations to the AMP from the ARC. Any information would be lovely.  Best // Cortez  

IOS has Sonopad... Android has.... nothing. Am I alone in finding the S2 app clunky and outdated - it works but that's about all that's going for it. I especially hate the colour-themed playing screen which can easily provide a sickly yellow background depending on the album art or station logo. 

I have a client who has been using the Playbar (connected to their TV via optical) and a Sonos ConnectAmp (side cabinet with no direct connection) that is connected to 2 wired speakers.Currently they are using the Sonos app to connect the “connection” between the 2 of them and playing TV audio streaming, but there’s a delay and it disconnects a lot.My question: With the network connection ports, is there a way to connect the Playbar directly/wired to the ConnectAmp and have them stream/sync together and allow for the TV volume to control the audio on all of them at once? They don’t want to be stuck to the app constantly just for volume control and it disconnecting.

I have a protected under deck patio. Absolutely no rain on it, but it is outdoors. Looking at putting a pair of Sonos 1 under there. I wonder if anyone had experience with leaving Sonos one speakers outdoors, but not in the weather/rain? I know I can buy outdoor speakers and an amplifier, but add $1000 that’s too much.

I’ve just purchased a Roam. Great sound. Unfortunately, it tells me battery is low and to charge with an audible noise, at whatever time day or night! How do I turn this feature OFF please? Thanks

Apologies if this has been covered before Recently bought a LG TV (65NANO75)   Running the new LG WEB OS 6.0 software , and have linked up my soundbar via a optical cable and have two Sonos play ones as rear speakers and it works well , in fact even better than when linked to my 2009 Samsung TV My problem is i can’t get the LG remote control to work the volume control , lots of advice and videos on how to do this online but the screens i see are nothing like the screens and that is because of the new version of the software LG have introducedI can still adjust the volume using the Samsung remote My question is can someone advise on how to get the LG remote to work the volume Yes its a first world problem but its niggling me 

Hi, when the Sub is connected to AMP you're able to adjust the cross over frequency which is great if you have full range speakers.I've got mine in an Arc and in ceiling rear speaker surround system however when the Sub is in a surround system, you lose the feature. I'm assuming this is down to pairing with the Arc which creates a fixed cross over and generally optimising for surround. However if you're playing music you're stuck with this cross over.My suggestion is to add a crossover adjustment feature for the Sub that operates only when music is being played. This would be similar to how you can adjust how much the rear speakers play music when compared to the Arc. Any chances of that being implemented?

I would like for sonos to add the ability to add more play 5 or Sonos one speakers to Arc. My idea would be to add two more speakers as ceiling speakers that fire down and the sonos arc can be a center channel and perhaps two side firing speakers? I would have two rear speakers two ceiling mounted speakers the sonos arc as the center speaker and perhaps the up firing speakers can be re purposed as front left and right or side firing speakers? And two subs. Would be the best wireless dolby atmos setup. 

I have a set of mission lx-2 + speakers which are 6 ohm speakers with a minimum impedance of 3.5 ohms and a recommended amp power of 20 - 120 w. Also I have a pair of outdoor polk audio speakers that are 8 ohm. I would like to connect them with my sonos amp using a speaker switch which is a monoprice switch. I can’t seem to get a clear answer from  sonos or the folks at mission speakers so I thought I would ask the sonos community. First of all are my mission speakers a good match for the sonos amp and secondly is it ok to use a speaker switch with this set up (it’s very unlikely I would run both sets of speakers at the same time)

Just wondering if anyone had a Arc and two Ones that they use for both TV and a Vinyl setup.  If you do, do you mind sharing what I need to start listening to vinyl with my speakers. Currently I have the three speakers mentioned for my AV setup and no more.Thanks in advance. 

Current status. JBL Studio series bookshelf, and center, Sony amp , pro-ject turntable and a average pioneer receiver in a large bonus room  this room is used for music and tv watching, very casual.  I have a tv in living room with a sound bar /sub that is easily overwhelmed by the rooms large awkward size. 5 sonos ones scattered around house   on to the my question.  We are planning on downsizing and I won’t have a dedicated room for tv/music, the new area for tv/music will be a great room with living,kitchen and dining in one large area.  I want good sounding music and tv that I don’t have to keep asking wife “what’d they say?”options seem to be :A) Non-sonos sound bar (of quality that can handle room size) + sonos amp + current bookshelf speakers+ sonos sub with current Ones for musicB) Non-sonos sound bar + sonos amp +sonos sub +2 fives for music+leave ones scattered around houseC) sonos arc+sonos amp+ Sonos sub+ keep current bookshelf for music and ones scattered around houseOrany

Hello Everyone!To get to the point from the title. Sonos Trueplay for a 5.1 surround can only be tuned using an IOS device. As a programmer I can understand because of the hardware differences between different Android phones.I own a Sonos move, so why can't the built in Mics for that unit tune my Tv room surround? The Move would just simply be used as a external Mic to pick up sounds around the room( might be a little too heavy moving the speaker up and down haha) or would Sonos be able to create a Microphone as a accessory purchase.Don

Hello, Am I able to set up surround sound with 1 sonos One (2nd Gen) and the Sonos beam? Or will we need to purchase another Sonos One speaker? Any advice is welcome! J :)

I’ve been using the Amp for months with Wharfedale Diamond 8.2 and 9.2, both 6 Ohms speakers (each as 2.1 setup, not together).I just upgraded to a pair of Wharfedale EVO 4.1’s and they sound great with the Amp. However, they are 4 Ohms.Is the Amp comfortable with a pair of 4 Ohms?

I have a Play 5 in my office, thought I’d move my Play 1 (1st gen) into my office and pair them…. Support’s solution was to play them together, which sounds pretty good but not really what I, looking for.  Can I get a suggestion on which speaker(s) would be best to pair up with the existing Pair 5 for “optimum Sonos sound”  The space is a home office, 12’ X14’

Hi, I have my Apple TV hooked up to a sonos roam and a sonos move in the same room via AirPlay 2. This setup works fine when we’re watching TV or playing music on the Apple TV (although it periodically disconnects which is kind of annoying).The real problem happens when we try to screen mirror an iPhone to the Apple TV. We usually do this to stream peloton workouts to the TV because the iPhone app is easier to use than the TV app and it connects to Apple Watch for heart rate monitoring. A lot of times we can’t even get the audio to play (it will be totally silent and we just see the video), but if we do get the audio working, there’s around a 2 second delay between audio and video. If we change the Apple TV to play audio through the TV speakers, the delay is gone. Does anyone else have this issue? Is there any way to fix it?

Right now I don’t have the budget for the surround sound setup for the Apple TV (2x one sl, 1x arc), so just wanting to see if I can just use two roam speakers that are mostly used for spotify, with the Apple TV and have correct stereo reproduction in movies watched on Apple TV.

Sorry for the length of this post, but we had a really frustrating home theater experience the other night… Maybe this post will help some people who are trying to decide between an AV receiver and a Sonos Amp or sound bar. A few months ago, I read this article about the problems of trying to live with current home theater gear (too many remotes, too much complication, unexpected strange behavior, etc.) The article resonated with me because I’ve never been able to achieve a true one remote setup (even using a product like a Harmony remote) in our gameroom with a Dolby ATMOS 5.1.4 setup. It works about 90% of the time (other than the 0% we’ve experienced lately), but the other 10% means I need to dig around for the TV remote or the receiver remote or the Apple TV remote… We do have two TVs with a pair of bookshelf speakers driven by Sonos Amps and these are true one remote setups since we only have a single source on each TV (Roku devices). With the Amps we never have to change an input

I bought an arc 8 months ago and am really disappointed with it. The sound is dead (for want of a better way to describe it) and when watching movies I’m back to turning up the sound to hear dialogue and turning down the sound when there are loud noises.  any help out there?

Hi,Is there a way to save Trueplay settings when moving sub from "My music setup" Ones + sub to "Movie setup" Beam + sub?It's unacceptable that the sub needs to be moved from setup to setup but that could be bearable if Trueplay settings would be saved when doing so. 

Hi Guys Sorry for another dropout issue, my setup in the living room (Beam, 2 ones as surrounds and a sub) drops out very frequently, maybe once every 5-6 minutes. I think I've narrowed it down to when we watch anything on Sky Q e.g. Netflix, live TV, recordings etc... The beam is wired to the router but surrounds and sub are wireless. I've also tried switching the sonos channel but hasn't helpedDoes anyone else have the same issue or have any advice?? Diagnostics  - 1044364007Thanks guys for any help

HiI have a couple of speakers that mean I have to use S1 controller app, can the new Roam be used with this or is it only S2 compatible 

I have a play 5 gen 2 that recently stopped working , ran a diagnostic, faulty wi fi card . I have now received a replacement it works but stops midway through a song - have called Sonos who were v helpful spent an hour on the phone and ran various checks , including changing wi fi channels nothing works - I have two play 1’s both of which work with no problem - a case has been raised and I am waiting to hear . Has anyone any ideas ? I don’t believe it is a wi fi issue as the others work (I have put one where the play 5 is and no problems ) -
