Hello friendly people - I have the Arc and am looking to upgrade the living room sound experience - should I spend my budgeted money on the Sonos Sub or two smaller speakers to put behind the couch?  I don't need multiroom or Sonos one sized speakers for any other reason (just FYSA).Thanks!

I have a project coming up Need Suggestion Zone 1 - 2 In Celling Speaker  Non Sonos Zone 2 - 2 In Celling Speaker - Non SonosZone 3 - Bang&olufsen A9 - Non Sonos Zone 4 - 2 Outdoor Speaker - Non SonosZone 5 - Bang&olufsen A6 - Non Sonos   If a have to create 5 Zones , then how many Sonos Port I have to use ? And do I required Sonos Amp also for In Celling Speakers ? And is it possible to use Bang&olufsen Products with Sonos Port , when Bang&olufsen products is self has an multiroom built in ??  Please Suggest  

What is the maximum length of HDMI cable I can use when connecting my TV to my Sonos amp which powers my in ceiling speakers? Is 10 metre ok?

I’m about to wire my new build and need some direction on how a few things. I plan to install  a surround sound setup for my tv (5 speakers), plus I’d like the ability to play music through those same speakers via the Sonos app. How can I make this work?

Recently the TV volume output of my Arc + Surrounds has been way higher than my TV's volume control bar would indicate. It is such that when my TV volume is set to '1', it is actually pretty loud. Turning my TV one step down to '0' mutes the TV entirely. My TV volume goes up to 100. So now my TV goes from Mute to Loud to Very Loud to Apocalypse Loud.This is a recent issue and I don't know what has changed. In the past I used to set my TV volume between 10-13 for casual watching, and 15-20 when I wanted loud audio. Occasionally when I really wanted to piss off my neighbours or impress my friends, I'd crank it to 20-25. My Music and TV Surrounds are set to 0. My volume limitter is off. I just want the TV output bar to better reflect the volume, and give me a some wiggle room on the low level. Is there a way to calibrate this? Perhaps related- my turntable & Port audio has also been a lot LOWER recently. 

I have a client who wants to use the TV speakers AND the sonos amp in wall speakers. They will be controlling with apple TV remote. Can any TV models output sound via ARC and TV speakers? If so, how would the apple TV remote handle this? I have tried multiple times to get sound bars as this would solve everything but he will not do it.

Hello,A favorite uncle of mine who does not have much of a gift for listening is avidly listening to tennis news and other related stuff all the time,  and being his favorite nephew I'd like to get him Sonos speakers to make his hearing more enjoyable. My experience with Sonos has been wonderful, so I would be interested in finding any good Sonos speakers he can put on his TV to enjoy tennis matches, news and other things with a clear voice.See you:)

Hi everybodyi currently have a Sonos Beam hooked up to the optical out of my (old) Samsung TV (UE37C6530) as it doesn’t have an ARC HDMI socket..The TV supports Dolby Digital and outputs correctly in this format for programmes showing on the TV itself.The problem is for the other set top boxes that are connected to the TV via HDMI, in that the boxes are sending a Dolby signal but this does not pass through the TV so outputs via the optical cable are Stereo PCM in all cases (tinny to say the least). The only way to get ‘pure’ Dolby from the set top box to the Beam is by connecting it directly to the Beam using the digital optical output, which then means that my other stb’s aren’t connected to the Beam any more. I’ve  seen some old threads where people have used HDMI splitters etc which didn’t seem ideal. It seems like this is a known issue mainly affecting older Samsung TV’s, so I wondered if any forum members can recommend a working solution to get all of my HDMI devices to feed Dolby

Hello- I just moved into a house after 15 years of condos and I want to maximize the space/sound.   We have an open floor plan on the first floor and listen to music a ton.  I am debating between these 3 Items and this is mostly for music: 1- Sonos Architecture In-Wall Speakers2- Sonos Arc by the TV above the fireplace (had a company come out and they said this would be the best sound and easiest to install)3- Beam by the tv I do have a bunch of one’s I can connect as well that could provide more sound.   Would welcome any feedback on best ideas/sound.   

Do the group/ swap functions work for stereo pair of Roams the same as single Roam?  I can’t seem to get to work.

Okay so I have 2 Sonos S1’s that I have setup in my kitchen as a stereo pair and it was working great I had them connected to WiFi and everything it was amazing and I was really pleased with it. But if the WiFi connection is for some reason stopped (either by someone Turing it off or power cuts) it will refuse to automatically reconnect and I have to go and reconnect them manually. And with multiple speakers in multiple rooms that’s quite a challenge! I run a few of my other songs speakers because I know the WiFi connection is quiet a challenge but surely there is a way to make it connect on its own?  I have attached the reconnect reminder but if this could be updated that would be amazing :). 

Hello, my Sonos One SL’s sound first became muffled after about the first 10 minutes of listening. That time, the sound became normal again after I did 3x factory reset.The next day, the sound became muffled again, and this time factory resets doesn’t fix the problem, and this problem exists across all streaming service and also airplay.Wifi connection shouldnt be a problem because my other sonos one SL in another room works fine.Please help.  

I regularly check the built in Smart apps to see if Atmos support has been added, The built in Apple TV app now supports Atmos over Dolby Digital + which is good news. Apple Music app hasn’t been updated to support Atmos as yet. also tested AppleTV 4K (gen 1) still does not seem to support Atmos over DD.+

How do you power up the Roam from hibernation (deep sleep)?

Hi guys, so I’d like to know why the apple HomePod mini has a wider soundstage than the Sonos roam? In this photo I have attached, the Apple HomePod mini is on the left and the Sonos Roam is on the right. I heard the sound test too and played it on my Sonos play 5. The details in the song tracks seem to be wider and more present on the apple HomePod mini. But does anyone know why though? I was hoping the Sonos roam would blow the Apple HomePod mini out of the water with its sound quality but that does not seem to be the case. Very comparable sound quality it’s seems. It seems the apple HomePod mini is a little better for music with its wider soundstage.    

Is there any technical difference in a second gen Connect (2015 date) and a S15 (2019 date)?  Thanks, Rich

Hello,  I have a Sonos Amp which I’d like to connect to my projector via an Amazon Fire stick type device. I wonder what would be the best set-up/method. Any advice would be greatly received. Currently I have it set up thus: Fire stick as HDMI input (Projector has only 1 HDMI input).Sonos amp (plus bookshelf speakers) connected via Coax through 3.5mm jack in back of projector. (Line in mode) Now this works most of the time when the Sonos app recognises the amp as line in mode. However, frequently the amp decides to switch to ‘TV’ mode and doesn’t play audio. I’m not sure why it decides to switch all of a sudden or how I can prevent it from switching from Line In mode. The projector doesn’t have ARC that I know of, and as mentioned only has one HDMI input, which the Fire Stick is connected into. Is there a way I can stop Sonos switching over to ‘TV’ mode sporadically, or is there a way that I can make the system work that when it does switch to TV I can get audio too? I’ve read about HD

Hi all, I currently have Apple Music, a ZP80 (that is hooked up to a record player and a cd player) and two Play Ones and I wanted to know what I would have to upgrade to have the following things work:- Being able to control Sonos from Apple Music (I can only control Sonos from my S1 app and that thing is awful.) Could I control Sonos from Apple Music if I had other equipment? If not, is the S2 controller a lot better than S1?- Streaming lossless music from Apple Music to Sonos Speakers.- Streaming high-res music from Apple Music to Sonos Speakers. It sounds like this would require some sort of extra DAC hardware and I am guessing new Sonos speakers that could handle hi-res audio (I am assuming the newer speakers do). It sounds like Apple Music requires you to have an external DAC to stream hi-res now. Is that the case with all of the other services out there?Thanks so much for your help. I am considering buying a Bluetooth turntable in order to revisit some dusty old vinyl. I am particularly interested in the Project T1 BT.I do not want to connect any additional cabling into the turntable.I only currently have Wi-Fi SONOS speakers in my system and was hoping that I could buy either a MOVE or ROAM bluetooth speaker to connect to the turntable and additionally use as a ‘bridge’ to enable playing of the vinyl on my other wi-fi only SONOS speakers. Can anyone confirm if this is possible to mix output via both bluetooth and non bluetooth SONOS speakers?Thanks  

I can use a rooftop amplifier plus an ARC and a sub. The whole system is brand (sonos) and I want to connect it to the TV to watch movies and listen to music. Could I?

I am interested in getting of their consoles (the standard) with vinyl and Sonos integration.  curious if you can link up a Sonos sub to it? I realize you can play Sonos music through it, and I assume it is using something like a Sonos amp to pull that off.   Curious if you can add to their speakers with a sub or even rear speakers.  

Hi folks.My current setup is:-a) Sony 65” X90Jb) Sonos Arc + Sub - connected to the TV’s HDMI 3 (default ARC/eARC) and set to Enhanced Format with Dolby Vision. Connected via the HDMI cable supplied together with the Sonos Arcc) Nvidia Shield TV Pro - connected to HDMI 1I’ve trouble getting Dolby Atmos from the Netflix (Ultra plan) on both the TV and Shield, Sonos app shows that I’m getting just Dolby Digital Digital Plus 5.1.I can confirm the TV audio settings are set to:-Speakers: Audio SystemAuto System Prioritization: OnA/V Sync: OneARC Mode: AutoDigital Audio Out: Auto 1Dolby Digital Plus Output: Dolby Digital PlusPass Through Mode: AutoWhat would seem to be the problem? Klopt het een SONOS MOVE eigenlijk enkel vlot communiceert met een i-phone? Ik erger mij te pletter aan de gebrekkige samenwerking van mijn SONOS en mijn Fairphone. Is it right you should have an i-phone to enjoy SONOS MOVE? My Fairphone (the only smartphone I want to use) doesn’t agree with SONOS. Why didn’t anybody tell me that before?
