Hello all! I am having a problem connecting my new Sonos arc to my Apple TV and my Philips HDMI sync. If anyone can explain the proper setup it would be greatly appreciated. thank you all in advance
Hi all, hope someone can answer a question , I'm watching channel 5 , and the app is showing as DD 5.1 but all talking comes out of the surround speakers too , if I put on sky movies then the talking comes from the beam and not the surround speakers , I thought talking wouldn't come from the surrounds using DD 5.1 but it does on channel 5 ....
I have a Sonos Arc connected to an LG CX TV and the two devices aren’t working well together when eARC is enabled. After much, much research into the topic online it appears to be an issue with the Sonos Arc and newer Samsung TV’s too. It appears the implementation of eARC by Sonos and the higher end TV manufacturers attempting to implement eARC is not going so well. I would encourage Sonos to work with LG and Samsung to get this figured out as consumers are spending a lot of money on this high-end equipment and deserve a better experience.
Hello! Could we please have the option for the TV input to be in Full Mode like the Music input. This feature request is over 7 years old and we still don't have the option to do it.
Hi i am about to buy a sonos arc system and I need to know if I will experience any issues when connecting my ps4 pro to my projector, then use the hdmi arc to transfer the audio in 5.1 dolby atmos to the arc. i havent seen any topic so far so I want to know if anybody has this setup! thanks!
Hi all, I have a Sonos ARC and 2 play ones as rears. I’ve an older Sony TV and BluRay player so I realise I’m not going to get Atmos but decent 5.1 is fine for me. My problem is when playing my Spectre BluRay I can only get 5.1 when I select the English audio description or the other languages sound tracks, but as soon as I set the main 7.1 option it goes to Stereo PCM. This happens with my other BluRays when the main soundtrack is something like 6.1 or similar and the other languages are 5.1. Great 5.1 but in Dutch! Any ideas folks?
All of a sudden my connect amp started shining bright red out of the play/pause button when muted. How do I disable it? I can already tell that it is muted with my ears. I don't want to watch an annoying red light in my living room.
I recently purchased an Arc, Sub and 2 Sonos Ones to have surround sound in my home theater. My room is 14.5 ft x 23.5 ft. The ceiling height is 8 ft. What I am trying to figure out is which direction I should have the TV/Arc facing. Should I have a shorter distance to the back wall and a longer distance to the walls on the sides of the room or vice versa. With the Arc using the walls to reflect the sound, I am not sure which direction should have the longer distance to reflect the sound waves. Thanks!
Ever since the latest android update my system has been a mess. Sometimes a component of the system can’t be found. Other times whole portions of the system disappear. The only way I have found to fix it is to do a factory reset on all of the products and set them up from scratch. Then a week later it is all messed up again. I have even tried a different wireless router. I am using Android to run the system. I have four Play 1s and a beam for the TV
I just upgraded from an iPhone XS to 13 plus and my S2 app pretty much has ceased functioning. For context, my wife upgraded the exact same phones and hers works as well as ever (albeit it’s still the baseline level of bugginess). At first, I opened S2 and it was super slow and would crash while trying to load all the data. I would click a button and after 60 seconds the button would partially load (Settings, for example) or it would crash. I uninstalled the app and now I can’t even open the Terms of Service. It opens, freezes entirely, and half the time it crashes. My Sonos system is functionally useless without the controller. Again, it works just fine on my wife’s identical phone and iOS. If I could upload video, I would upload the screen recordings. This is a technical disaster and the Support Bot couldn’t figure out it’s algorithm well enough to get me actual support. I’m at my wits end with this. Help, please.
Just curious… Has there ever been any talk about creating a slider in the app for the center channel (Dialogue) for the Arc/Beam? I know there is a dialogue enhancement feature, but that doesn’t seem to help much. This feature request seems to be very possible since Sonos added a slider for height on the arc, which in my opinion is less important than the center. Many people have different levels of hearing and to most, dialogue is the most important. I’d love a feature to let users set the dialogue to a level that makes them happy and is accommodating to their level of hearing. Many other companies have this feature and I hope Sonos can bring it to their eco system. On a side note...For android users, I think it would be amazing to allow us to use a Roam for True Play. Seems like a great way to use a mic that is a part of the Sonos eco system.
Hello everyone, I have a 5.1 setup with my play bar, sub and a pair of ones. My sub recently had an issue and no longer works through wireless link only wired. My app recognizes it and everything but I get no sound from the sub. if I move the sub to another room with any other configuration of speakers it works it just doesn’t work with my playbar. I know there are multiple post about this issue and I’ve tried every single thing but no luck. I opened this new question because wanted to get some extra help also with the a diagnostic I ran: 917345049
Hi folks,I have a bluetooth turntable that I connect to my Sonos 1 through the Sonos Roam. There are occasional glitches/skips but it works well so far!I am looking at making a bigger purchase of a Sonos 5 AND the Sub to make my turntable sound even more incredible. Is the Roam still enough or the best way to keep this connection from the bluetooth turntable to my potential 5 and Sub? These are big purchases and want to get it right! Thanks
I’ve got a Sonos Beam 5.1 setup (Beam, Sub, 2x Play: 1) and I used to be very satisfied with it. However, I recently moved to an apartment with a slightly larger living room, one that puts me a bit further from the TV (about 12’ from the TV vs 8.5’ in the old setup). On paper it doesn’t seem like it should be a big differnece, but it has really impacted my subjective experience. In the old place when I was closer to the TV and soundbar, it felt like the Beam provided a decent amount of separation. Now it feels like all the sound is coming directly from the TV on the center channel, without much in the way of L/R. This has me considering upgrading to the Sonos Arc. Has anyone made this upgrade? Would it provide a better experience for me? I’ve got the Sub, so I’m not looking for more low end; mainly more separation. Will going from the Beam to the Arc help in that regard?
Those who are archive.org fans….write them and ask them to find a coding team to create a Sonos service app to link and browse through the Sonos app. I’d gladly pay $10 to have that service and catalog on Sonos. Relisten is great but is only maybe 20 pct of the archive.org content. This needs to happen, people will pay archive.org for the app, they are always trying to raise money.
Hey!Would a Sonos headphone on wifi & bluetooth with the looks of the Apple AirPods Max that works with the Sonos app and some cool functionality (dolby surround etc.) be an idea for a next portfolio addition? This is what I miss. Hilbrand
I have an LG UN9000 tv with a Panasonic UB150 4k player and the Beam (Gen 2). For the life of me, I cannot get anything but Stereo PCM to play from blu ray discs that have a DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 soundtrack. Does anyone know the optimal settings for my blu ray player and/or TV that can help me get DTS Surround? I tried every possible combination of player settings (changing from Bitstream to PCM) and TV settings (making sure the HDMI input is also set to PCM like the player). Thanks in advance for anything to help!
Our local radio stations still appear in our favourites but they will not play. The only thing we have done is switch to Execulink from Rogers. Yesterday I spent two hours on the phone with Sonos support and was not able to find anything wrong with my Sonos. Is it possible for telecoms to restrict access and if so why?
Hi,New Oled Panasonic with Bluetooth remote. Any ideas on connecting to the playbar? Thanks
I bought the Beam (Gen 2) and Sub for my home theater setup. The theater room is an Apple TV HDMI connected to a projector that projects on to a screen. No physical TV in the room! For the life of me I have been searching high and low for a simple wireless connection from the Apple TV to a speaker across the room that also wirelessly connects to a sub and *****doesnt restrict what content I can watch or listen to. Music, movies, TV, whatever***** Does this truly not exist?? I can’t believe the Beam doesn’t have bluetooth functionality in 2021.My question is: Is there any way whatsoever that I can stream movie audio from the Apple TV to the Beam+Sub wirelessly? Airplay, 3rd party app anything PLEASE?? I really don’t want to return these speakers.
I found this And I have followed the instruction on how to go about it..installed npm and 2FA then gone to terminal and sudo npm install -g sonos-web-cli then npm audit fix --force and searched the instruction on what to do next.. Seems I missed out a step. but still, using the commands the commands in terminal even with sudo I cannot get an instal that does not fail Not sure what other info to supply at the moment so will leave it at that , until someone can let me know what they need to know to help me.Install log from npm included below
Hi, since the ARC is connected to my Sony AG9, I can no longer switch to the television speakers (TV system). So deactivate the output via the audio system and activate the TV system. As soon as I switch that in the television menu, it switches briefly 2-3 times between the TV system and audio system and at the end the audio system is active
Hi!I have a Sonos amp in my outside patio and two Sonos Ones as a stereo pair in my living room. I used to be able to group them all directly on my iPhone with my Apple TV that is connected to a receiver in another room, and they would a play music in the whole apartment. That option stopped working all of a sudden. I did a little googling and found about this “Group non-AirPlay Products option” so I anxiously went to check… but in my Sonos app that switch is greyed out and I can’t toggle it. Can someone please help?
Hello! Did some Googling and reviewed quite some topics on here/Reddit/Unifi Community but couldn’t find anyone with the same symptom. I just recently bought some Ubiquity gear and got the majority of my devices on the new network. One of the things that I wanted to achieve was to wire all my devices where I can. This resulted in my Sonos setup in the Living Room beeing almost completely wired, except for the Sub. The setup is a “classic” Sonos surround setup with a Playbar and two Play:1's (and the Sub). The surround setup has went to a complete factory reset due to the fact that the remote of my new TV was not able to bind properly. This is still buggy but that seems to be another challenge I guess.Today, all of a sudden, a new device came up in my Unifi controller on the same port where my Playbar is connected to (and I don't use the second port on the Playbar for “daisy chaining”). While I was investigating this, 3 other devices (as in; unique MAC adresses) also showed up within the
