I just purchased a Sonos arc and I have to watch youtubetv at over 50 volume and the. Can only watch YouTube at 20 or less for the same level sound. I have a Vizio p75 tv and have it hooked up with the provided HDMI cable. 

I converted a vinyl album to an MP3 file and added it to my music library on my MacBook Pro. It plays on my MacBook, but when I try to play it on Sonos it won't play.  I have updated my music library, and the album appears in Sonos, but won't play. When I try to play it I get a short blip (like the scratch at the beginning of putting a need on the vinyl)  and then an error message. What should I do?

Preliminary notes: These instructions have been tested with a Mac mini with macOS version Monterey, an Apple Music library of 25k tracks, a Synology NAS with DSM 7.0.1 and a Sonos Controller for Mac Version 13.4.1. Before starting the process make sure you have access to the NAS drive with sufficient access rights granted to the account (e.g. read/write to the music shared folder). To mitigate security issues for the music folders on the NAS you can create an account for the Sonos Controller with read access only. Feel free to follow these steps at your own risk.Step 1: setup the Apple Music Library on the NASWhen you open Apple Music with the Option key on the keyboard pressed you can choose to create a new Library. Create a new Folder on the Synology NAS, under the music shared folder, to create the Apple Music Library (e.g. MyMusic). Check in the Preferences the Files tab for Music Media location so that the directory path points to the NAS. Keep the Music Media folder organised and

I’m having 4 sonos sonance ceiling speakers installed in my living on the Sonos amp and gen 3 sub? Can I also add an arc and they all play together? I assume so. Thanks 

I recently got  a new place and would like to set up with Sonos eco system. I want to make sure if I get the followingLiving room (TV) - ARC, Sub Gen 3, One (total 4 - 2 front and 2 back)Bedroom (TV) - Beam, One (2 total) Office (Computer) - One (two total) 3 other bedrooms(future) additional OnesWill I be able to control them individually by room with two TVs and office computer playing at the same time?   Can multiple users take care playing music by the room? Just like first question but via Spotify and not TV Do I need anything else to make sure I can do all the above items but need additional Sonos devices possibly?And I am assuming it is possible to  play by one user with all sonos devices.   

My backyard garage is 75% dedicated to my gym, 25% to chillin, tv and music for the backyard.  400sqft. 50” samsung tv and currently using a Bose solo 5 for the tv and sound touch 20 for music. Not bad but want more. I want a fuller Basier sound that fully integrates for both movies, and music, and Alexa. What should I do? Willing to spend up to 2K

My Beam Gen 2 does not show up in device list on Sony Xh90 (vh1) TV - therefore the Beam can not be controlled via the remote, nor does it turn on/off the TV.Beam connected to eARC with the HDMI cable provided with the Beam.Both TV and the Beam have been reset to factory default, Bravia Sync enabled. 

Hi all , quick question, when doing trueplay in a room with furniture like sofa etc how close should I get with my idevice to the actual sofa etc ?? Right up close or wave it near by ?? I've watched the short video but thought I'd ask if anyone has any extra tips for better results , thanks 

I have a LG HU70LA projector with one HDMI port and a second HDMI eARC port. I have just bought a Sonos AMP and would like to connect my projector’s audio to the AMP (and connected speakers) while also having my Roku Ultra connected to the projector for the video / audio source stream.Could I used the standard HDMI port to connect my Roku Ultra to the projector and use the second HDMI eARC port to connect the projector to the Sonos AMP for sound? Would this send a Dolby Atmos signal to the Sonos AMP? Both the Roku Ultra and my projector support Dolby Atmos.Interested to hear everybody’s thoughts!

How does TV dialogue work with ceiling speakers acting as surround? Hello,we are looking to install a Sonos Arc in our living room, which has an open floor plan that includes  the kitchen and dining area. When in the kitchen watching TV, it would be nice to hear what’s on (you can still see the TV from the kitchen) without blasting the volume from basically across the house. We’d like to install two Sonos ceiling speakers in the kitchen and have a Sonos Amp powering them.  Ideally, the amp would be in the attic above the kitchen, powering the ceiling speakers and connect wirelessly to the Sonos Arc which is connected to the TV in the living room. But it’s my understanding the Amp would just play the surround speakers fed by the Arc. If we’re wanting to hear what’s happening on the TV (i.e. dialogue), would that work? Or would we just be hearing “rear speaker” surround sounds like a train approaching? If so, what would be a solution to hear the same front speaker dialogue from the TV in

Whenever Sonos updates my personnal library from the Music app on my iMac, Sonos creates a iTunes folder with a «iTunes Music Library.xml» file.  What it is useful to ?

Is there any news on Sonos getting an intercom function, to communicate speaker to speaker? I am torn between buying studio echo vs another S1....

Hi Sonos team,This has been requested before, but after extensive reading in the fora I could not find a solution or an answer from Sonos about prioritisation of this issue.Can you please provide an option to disable audio-delay (latency) when a line-in device is used on a single Sonos speaker setup?In an older conversation all kind of ideas were proposed by the community. There were a couple of things people agreed on:Many people are bothered that a minimal 75 ms latency is enforced. And they would be very happy if Sonos could give an option to disable the 70ms latency. Two use-cases where people encounter the latency-problem: Creative music production (keyboard, dj-mixer) Audio video where the Sonos is used for audio and a laptop/television as screen (for movie watching or video calls). In a setup with 1 Sonos speaker and a line-in device as audio-source, the 70ms latency seems artificial and not dictated by technical limitations (i.e. buffering with multiple wireless Sonos speaker

My ‘Sonos 1’ app has stopped accessing my Synology DiskStation music folder after the recent DSM 7.0 update. It seems many others have had the same problems and one way around this is to enable NTLMv1 authentication in: ‘Files Services - SMB - Advanced Settings - Others’ on my Synology NAS. The only problem with doing that is that it increases significantly the risk of external attacks! Can someone please tell me how I can avoid this critical issue, or if there will be a fix in the near future from Sonos on the Sonos1 app?  I cannot use the Sonos 2 app because I have several units in the house which are not compatible. Thanks in advance

Hi so I am wanting to set up smart speakers throughout the house for music and additionally add a turntable to the system. I would also like to get a sound bar for the tv. I would like to know if this concept will work. I was looking to get the beam and turntable set. I would set the beam to the tv and put the turntable in one room. I would use the five speaker (that comes with turntable set) in another room. Will the sound bar be able to connect to the turntable? Will I be able to play records to both rooms? Will the tv be able to play in both rooms? Thanks

We just bought a house.  We have an arc, move and multiple ones through the house that work great with the sonos app (I use apple music through the app to play music).  We have an outdoor area that has mulitple speakers that came with the house and a receiver that’s super old (no blue tooth, etc).  We can turn on the reciever and play radio stations through the outdoor speakers, they work! :-)  If we want to leverage the existing outdoor speakers - can we buy a sonos reciever - Port or Amp? and use that to connect the non-sonos speakers?  The receiver today is outdoors under a tiki roof -- not protected super well from elements. if we spend the money for the port or amp - will it allow to control/coordiante all speakers/sound?  Is there a cheaper option to accomplish full connection with a unit that is less expensive since it will be outside? Thanks!!!!

Hi,I’m new to the Sonos game and have a question about the Sonos AMP.I currently have:pair of Sonos Ones TV with an HDMI-ARC port Turntable connected to a kenwood amplifier with line out pair of 8ohm passive speakersWhat I would like to do is use a Sonos AMP to:connect TV to HDMI-ARC port connect passive 8ohm speakers to sonos amp to be used as FRONT surround speakers use pair of sonos ones to be REAR surround speakers connect line out from turntable to line in on sonos amp maybe add a 3rd party powered sub to the sonos amp later still be able to use airplay 2 to send music to the sonos systemDo you have confirmation that this configuration will work? Can it all stay in surround mode (with the sonos amp as the FRONT speakers and sonos ones as the rear surround speakers)? Will I be able to switch between TV HDMI-ARC connection and sonos amp line in connection either by auto detection or through the sonos app? Thanks for your help! Rock on!

I have a fair number of Sonos speakers throughout my house which can be thought of in 4 zones: upstairs, downstairs, garage, and patio. There is rarely, if ever, a case when I want all speakers on at the same time, so I would like to disable the ‘Everywhere’ default speaker group and only use my own. Is that possible?

I finish builded beam gen2 + sub gen3+ pair of One SL system before this Chrismas for my home theater. This system works great and i really love it.  I really love listen music with this system, and it makes me want to sing. I expect that my own voice comes out from sonos sound system. to enchance this home theater system to a karaoke system too.I made my research and there are some difficults,first of all, Most of smart TVs Can install Karaoke apps and bluetooth connection,but Microphone can not be just connect and use. second, sonos system need HDMI eARC for dolby atmos, ,and most TV can not output 2 audio at same time, and Beam and Arc dont have extra port for connection.Third, most of the mixer on the market dont have HDMI eARC pass through or the whole setup become a nightmare of cables.I hope sonos can make a mixer with dolby atmos pass through to enchance the connection of sonos system plus a pair of karaoke microphone. with its nice design and wifi system intergrated.Maybe this

Hi , i have Sonos speakers throughout the house1 x playbar, 1 x beam, 3 x play 3, 2 x play 1I am looking to purchase hifi  separates ie a CD player and possible amp to play the cds through the Sonos speakersMy question is what do i need to do this1/ CD player, Sonos amp2/ CD player, amplifier, Sonos port

This might be a stupid question, but I am pretty new to all of this. I have a Sonos beam with the woofer and two Sonos ones in a basement set up. Is there any way that I can create a room for just the one speaker that is back by the bar area? Ideally I would like to play music on that after the kids have gone to bed and not have the whole surroundsound system blasting music and keeping them all up. Or is that speaker permanently tied to the basement set up that I currently have and that is all I can do with it?  thanks!!
