Can you use 1x sonos one and 1x sonos one sl as your rear surrounds with an Arc?
Hi,anybody knows if I can pair ARC with two ONE (no ONE SL) to create a surround set up?Additionally: if I setup two ONE (or two ONE SL) to work with ARC, will I be able to continue to use them as direct output devices for, e.g., spotify or Apple Music or do I need to reconfigure them every time? I mean: once linked to ARC are the ONE still available for streaming from my phone? thanks a lot, nice regards
Hi all, I am currently looking at sonos as a solution for my audio sound, just want to make sure it can do what I want it to do before I purchase. Forgive me if this is naïve question. Can I have my turntable (with built in amp) connected to 2 Five’s, so I can listen in stereo in one room and then have a third speaker (possible another Five) in another room and have the music from the turntable play at the same time? So in stereo in one room and from one speaker in another room? Thanks!
When is Sonos going to update their software to sync in L&R front speakers to their surround set up?
I know most of the people will say , get harmony remote , use the Denon app or even smart plug but i want to be able to turn on my sonos port via the sonos app and make my denon turn on and set it up to the right input (CD in my case) automatically . trying to convert 12V trigger (from sonos port) to IR command (to Denon receiver) seems to be challenging and the only project i saw requires you to be an engineer. I finally tried to look into HTTP commands and saw that Sonos support IFTTT but only as “That” part in the code and you can’t create any macros or scripts that will trigger if the Sonos port is on. Here is my question: Anyone here knows how to build raspberry pi server which will be able to “listen” to local network and once the sonos port turns on it will execute a simple HTTP command to turn on the Denon?
Hi all - browsed really old versions of similar threads but none of the options work for me - I have a 2021 LG 55” OLED TV - I follow all the instructions but obviously cannot push the “power” button on my magic remote to configure it as it switches off the TV - hitting the volume buttons brings up the mute sign but the volume does not change. I do have different menu options to what are described here but more or less I can get to choosing optical blue tooth sound bar and then philips (I do not have sonos as a choice). Anyone else that has struggled have a magical answer?
Purchased a Sonos Arc, Sub and two Sonos Ones for surround sound to add in addition to my Vizio 75” V Series TV and the Apple TV 4K (latest edition). Since I purchased this I have had intermittent sound issues with different apps on Apple TV (Hulu, Disney+, HBO, Netflix, etc) that has the sound stay on for a bit and then cut out for a period of time then come back in. I called support and they were no help. It’s discouraging as I paid almost $2k for the Sonos products and am not able to get the full impact of it. To give some information, the Sonos ARC is hooked up to the TV via HDMI not through the optical cable option. I have switched out the HDMI cord and that did not help. Latest support diagnostic is: 841974370
Hi,i want to setup:2 speakers in dining room2 speakers in living room 1 2 speakers in living room 22 speakers in kitchen 2 outdoor speakers. How many amps do I need? can I play the same music on all the speakers even if there are multiple amps? if 2 speakers from living room 1 and 2 speakers from living room 2 are connected to the same amp, can I have 2 different zones? So I could play the same music in both living rooms AND play the same music in living room 1 and turn the speakers in living room 2 off - is that makes sense?thanks
Hi all, my first post before buying a Sub. I was just wondering what happens to midrange when adding in a Sub. Will the Beam handle it differently than it does on its own or would it be best to add in a third Sonos unit? Or, and I suspect will be the answer, does the Sub and Beam share the responsibilty perfectly well? Thanks Martin S
Hi all! I’ve had an Arc for a while now and it’s grouped with a 1 for music in another part of the house. I recently bought a Move. It works great for music, grouped with the Arc and the 1. However, when using the Move grouped to the Arc for TV, the sound on the Move cuts out for 5-10 seconds every minute or so. I’ve tried all of the troubleshooting tips and nothing fixes this idea. Any ideas? Thanks!
Hi What is the best/simplest way to play local files on my sonos system, without having to turn on a computer? I have 10-15 CDs (mp3s) stored on a usb stick. My current router (Deco x60) doesn’t have a USB input. Can I upload my files somewhere and access them from the Sonos app? I have Spotify premium. Install a (virtual) media server? Any ideas? Thanks a lot! E
I’d like to see the ability to switch to a more basic controller interface. One where you can simply select the room and music on one screen. I never look at the screen, don’t care about the skins and all of the rest of the stuff. I made my playlists already so I know what’s on there. All I want to be able to do is pick a room(s), select a stream and set the volume. This would just be the ability to switch between a basic remote and a full controller.
Is it possible to run the Sonos amp with a pair of One SL’s as the mains? I have a setup where I have existing power close to both speaker locations but won’t be able to run speaker wire due to existing construction. The reason I’m looking at the amp instead of the port is that I want to get a turntable and HDMI ARC into the system. Sorry if this has been asked before but I’ve searched the forums for a while and couldn't find anything.
Hi everyone,a few days ago I bought a Sonos Arc and I completed my 5.1 setup (I already owned a pair of Ones and a Sub). I am very satisfied with the general quality of the audio and I have already performed the TruePlay procedure using an iPhone 13 Pro. The only problem is that the central channel, relative to the voices, is always a bit low. I tried to redo the TruePlay tuning with another iPhone (7) and also to redo it focusing on the area where I sit to watch TV, but the situation changes little to none. Arc is connected to the tv via eARC and the tv passes the dolby digital signals correctly. Why Sonos, despite all the requests from the community, does not allow us to adjust the center channel volume? The NightMode and Speech Enhancement functions improve the situation, but they are only palliatives that "ruin" the overall equalization. With the old system I owned, I could adjust the volume of the center channel. It was enough to set it to +3 to solve the speech comprehension probl
Hello:This is my system…ARC + 2 FIVES (as surround) + SUBThis is issue:I can’t use/see FIVES LINE IN available in app to connect my turntable.Of course if I remove surrounds from the bundle I’m able to use them.So how to do it without modifying my setup.
Having upgraded S2 to latest versions the EQ icon is not appearing in now play window. Any suggestions?
I can't add Sonos Roam to my network. It asks me to update the App, but it is already updated
I know this has been mentioned multiple times as a feature request in a multitude of different ways but I wanted it brought up again as the Alarm functionality is not robust enough. Certain things can be done using multiple alarms. The biggest thing I am looking for is multiple room/device functionality with alarms. I have a Move and two Play Ones in the Kitchen. I also have a Roam in the Master Bathroom. I would like all three sets of these devices to play at the same time every morning. The problem is that I have 3 alarms and more often than not they are all out of sync even though they are scheduled at the exact same times. The include grouped room function does not solve this problem, I am not sure what it even does as we change room groups so often. The solution is simple, instead of that include the ability to choose room groups as an option. They already exist and are easy to create and use plus then they would all sync up. Or, just add the ability to choose multiple rooms under
A few of my Sonos Radio stations when opened identify as Tune In and play ads.
Everytime when my wife wants to connect to sonso roam with bluetooth it just does not work.Sometimes when the device is off it starts automatically and no worries, but more often even when the device is on, the bluetooth on the phone tries to connect but no response what so ever. I have to stop and start the sonos several times and all of a sudden it connects. What I described is exactly the same patern that I must follow to get the thing working.just try over and over again until it reacts. It is really annoying that she up until now is never was able to connect with out my help. She has no issue with all our other Bluetooth devices so she knows what to do. (Just click on the devices name in the bluetooth menu)I am worrying I was unlucky and bought a faulty device.
Hi guys, I am a proud owner of a Sonos Roam speaker. I love to carry it when visiting friends and barbecuing at different places with WiFi coverage.I prefer the WiFi connection so the music keeps playing even when I move farther away from the speaker.Any chance to see an easy and quick connection of the Sonos Roam to different WiFis? Or advise how to do thiss in case I have missed this option? Thanks, Toller
What is the error message that is displayed when one reaches the maximum number of tracks?Or, if there is no error message, what indicates that the limit has been reached?
It’s very frustrating that I’ll pause a movie or something to then go grab a snack, answer a phone call, and do a few other quick things and like 10 minutes later I hit play and there’s no sound for the next 5-10 seconds while the sonos stuff turns on again. I understand there’s people like me that want things to stay on forever or at least for like an hour or so, and there’s other people that want it to turn off after 1 minute of inactivity, so a setting is certainly the way to go here.
I believe every audio device should have a standard feature (or at least option) to fade in an out when you turn the music/speaker on and off. If you go over to a speaker and hit play or do the same on your app the volume should slowly ramp up to the level instead of instant on - you can decide what to do when you simply pause it but I would always prefer a fade. In addition, it would be even better if the system tracked speaker usage to determine preferred sound levels. For instance, I might always use a speaker at level 3 but the last time I used it maybe I cranked it for a really good song. A day later I’m much more likely to want it to start at 3 than cranked. This can also happen if someone else happened to use the system. It would be very easy to create some basic AI to track speaker volumes and use that to determine what to do on start. That in combination with fade in would make the system feel much more elite.
I recently updated the S1 controller app on my Windows 10 64bit PC. The S1 app launches, shows the interface (including my speakers, playlist, queue), and after 2-3 or so seconds the app crashes. The older version (v. 11.24) worked just fine. I upgraded to the latest version because a dialog popped up urging me to upgrade every time I opened the app. Now I can’t seem to be able to roll back to the working version and the 11.24 version is not available for download.I spent about half an hour on the phone with Sonos Tech support and after lots of questions and diagnostics the tech support person refused to escalate my ticket to the next level. Instead, he told me it was a probably a Microsoft problem and that I should call Microsoft. There are other threads in the Sonos support universe that document the same S1 crashing problem. Has anyone out there been successful in getting a resolution from Sonos support?
