I am looking to buy the Sonos vinyl record player. I would like my record player on one side of the room and the speaker on the other side. I do not want to have to run wires through the room i.e. under the carpet. Is there a Sonos option to wireless ly transmit the record player to a Sonos speaker?
I have a pair of speakers that are 30 years old now and looking a bit ropey. They are Denon SC-M1 2 way loudspeakers. They claim to be 8 Ohm, 100W.. Used to be part of a stereo system that has long gone.I have recently upgraded to a SONOS AMP from the old ZP100.I mainly use this for a turntable as well as my music library.Thinking I would like something new and wondered if there were any suggestions. Will I get the same power in a smaller speaker (imagine so). Maybe I should stick with the mid-size of these speakers. Or maybe I should go for a set of big 5ft speakers.Open minded about it but looking for a good match that I can crank up from time-to-time.
I’ve got a brand new surround system consisting of the Arc, Sub 3, and two One SL for rears. I’m using an LG C1 OLED and a Sony UBP-X800M2 blu ray player.I have the blu ray player set to PCM for audio, downmix is set to surround and but rate is set to 192. On the TV I have the HMDI audio set to PCM and eARC is enabled.I am running hdmi from player to the tv, from TV to soundbar. When i fire up Interstellar which has a DTS soundtrack I’m only getting Stereo PCM displayed. I understand that the Arc has limited DTS support, but shouldn’t I be getting multichannel PCM feed into the Adonis?Do I have something set up incorrectly?
Hey all - hoping for some help..I have a sonos beam 2 hooked up to the tv, and the back of this same room I have a sonos 5 plugged into my record player. They are set up as seperate rooms.what I am wanting to do is get a PAIR of sonos ones.. I will then put them in the back of the room toeard the corners. I will create a pair and set it up as a home theatre to my soundbar (I am confident this will work) what I then want to have is the option to play music from my sonos 5 which is laid down on its side (which apparently makes it stereo although no obvious stereo effect obviously !) - and have stereo music coming from the paired ONES. I hope that makes sense.. in my head I know what I mean, keen for your thoughts ! thanks
Hello: While my sound bar usually works great with my older Samsung TV using the optical out cable, it recently stopped working with my TV. It does however work with my Sonos app when playing my steaming services, just not on TV. When I try to deploy “TV” sound from the Sonos app now, nothing in the sound realm changes on my TV and I am stuck using my tv standard sound. When I go into my TV settings to choose “Optical output” or “Optical sound” it is not an option now as this menu item is greyed out and I cannot access it. I can also not do a “reset” sound because I do not have a tv remote and am using the TV navigation on the side of the screen and it won’t allow me to access the “reset sound” selection using the manual navigation. Any thoughts or tips on how to get it working once again? Thanks!
It seems a shame that I cannot add a second sub to two Fives. I already own two subs. I have no interest in home cinema but think that a second sub may enhance my 2.5 channel music system. Any chance that this feature could be added?
Interesting article positing that the Dolby vs DTS battle is over, and Dolby are the winner.https://www.whathifi.com/features/is-the-dts-vs-dolby-war-effectively-overThere is a new soundbar that has no DTS support at all, and the quote from the maker (not Sonos) is:“The reason for this is that DTS is not used by any of the streaming service companies and therefore is limited to people watching DVD/Blu-ray connected to the TV with the audio passed through the ARC/eARC. However the vast majority of TV companies do not support this on the ARC/eARC.”(By “vast majority” I assume they mean Samsung and LG, so they have a point)Thoughts?

Hello everyone, thanks for reading the post.I need your help and opinion for our new setup. I am setting up the TV (LG G1 55) and an audio system. I would like to mount a sonos system and add two B&O beolab 8000 speakers. I would like to use all sonos + B&O speakers both for watching TV and listening to music. An initial idea of the setup that I think could work is as follows: Assumptions:- The sonos elements on the TV side will be connected via RJ45 network cable, the rear ones via WLAN.There are points that are not clear to me:In TV mode, can I have problems with sound delay? The sonos Port will automatically turn on the beolab 8000? or will I need to turn them on with a remote control? Will the sonos Port automatically regulate the volume of the beolab 8000? Wich cables I would need? There are specific Almando preamplifiers for B&O that are usually connected to the Sonos Port, do you recommend to use one? or you don't see it necessary?Do you think the setup is correct? do
As the title says. My alarm is turned on, but, isn’t playing. Also, I set the sleep timer, and it doesn’t turn off. Music plays just fine otherwise.
I want to add some outdoor speakers to my system ideally 4 in 2x separate areas. If i purchase a Sonos AMP 1 will that work just the same as the new version - thinking it’ll save me a fair few quid. thanks
I can see my playlists using search/add track to playlist - how do I restore them to my home page?
Hi. BBC sounds app is not visible so cannot play BBC stations. many advice?
Maybe not what everyone here wants to hear (no pun intended), but I have just purchased a One SL (awaiting another One to Stereo Pair) for my office workspace at home - I already have a Home Cinema set-up with a Beam and 2 Play 1’s. I am absolutely blown over by the SL and cannot wait for the other One to be delivered, because if the other One delivers as much as the SL does at the moment, I will be in music nirvana.
I had a birthday party at my house yesterday.During the evening people asked me to put on music that was not in my free services choices. (You have to pay to listen to quality music on Sonos), so instead of subscribing again and again I decided to go to my computer and transfer all my music to folders on my smart phone (android galaxy s20 updated). This is where the problem comes in... I open my Sonos app (because nothing works without it) and... it can't even find my music files.Imagine that Sonos lists everything according to its taste and in its own way, so that it is impossible to find each other. So I have 2 choices left according to Sonos APP, either press SONGS FOLDER and everything will play pell-mell or select manualy each song after the other on the thousands of useless folders that Sonos has created for me.I tested on the SONOS PC version and everything works fine but not on the mobile app. But it was too late...(See screenshot) https://ibb.co/CQzrZDFHere is the only way I fou
I have a surround (Beam+sub+2xOnes), a Move and a Roam. I’m unable to see more than one product in my system. In the case of the Roam and the Move I cannot pair them as stereo because the system never detect both at the same time. If I turn one off, then the other is showing in the app.I tried factory reset all of them several times and make sure to Add product (I read a post where the problem seemed to be that the products were created in different accounts, but this doesn’t seem to be my case). I tried resetting the router, try to find the missing products, etc.Any more ideas? Thanks!
We’re new to the Sonos world and just installed the sonance outdoor 6 speaker / sub package that included the Sonos amp. We’ve also got two Yamaha outdoor speakers mounted on our back porch and a surround sound receiver that is connected to our TV and ceiling speakers in our main room. Trying to figure out the most efficient method to sync the two outdoor speakers on our patio and the surround sound system inside to the Sonos amp to create two additional “zones” to our existing sonance zone - any suggestions? It looks like I could get a Sonos port to sync one or both of those? Or would I need one port for each of those?
I currently have an Arc, a Sub and pair of One SLs, which sound great. I’m thinking of trying to connect my old Technics 1210s via an analogue Pioneer DJM-300 mixer (which should have the necessary pre-amps) and then a PORT.From what I’ve read, this sounds like it should work OK, and my primary purpose would just be for playing vinyl, but I’m wondering if it would be feasible to use this setup for actually mixing tracks. Would there be too much delay for that purpose?
Greetings. Currently have older discontinued Sonos multiple room set up and looking to upgrade. All rooms have in wall speakers that came with house (not sonos speakers) and set up with older Sonos amps. is it better to get new Sonos amps (would need 4-5) and connect to existing in wall speakers or just get a bunch of Sonos wireless sound bars and speakers for rooms?4 of the rooms have tvs, other rooms/patio do not
I've been a big fan of Sonos Radio HD since i started my trial and couldn't bring myself to cancel. It just sounds so great, and the station options are great so far; but I can't figure out how we don't have a Bollywood music station yet, or any Indian music at all, really. This seems like an obvious oversight; it's kind of a low-hanging fruit that would be a big crowd-pleaser. Do we just need to throw suggestions out there? (If this isn't the best forum for station ideas, I'd love to be pointed in the right direction.) On a more heartfelt note, the Metal music selection leaves so very much to be desired for fans of the more Nordic Metal styles. I think you could do quite well with a Swedish Death Metal station, or generally Nordic if you want to catch more content. The metal that is on Sonos Radio so far is just absolutely nothing like what I look for in metal music. I would call it more hard rock than anything, but I know I'm biased on that regard. And that's fine, but if you're look
I have an arc and would like to pair a speaker with it so a hearing impaired person can use it when watching tv. Can this be accomplished?
I have a new Bluetooth record player amd would like to find a way to connect to SONOS One speakers....I have 3 of them already. Is it possible to use some converter like… Bluetooth Audio Adapter for Music Streaming Sound System, esinkin Wireless Audio Adapter Works with Smartphones and Tablets, Wireless Adapter for Speakers
How to add existing Sonos product to the new room? Please let me know on this
Is there still no way of removing the Sonos Radio menu option?
New BT router. Now no operating Windows S1 controller! All parts of the Sonos S1 system working, except the CR200 controllers, which now display the BBC Sounds and Qobuz Music Services, but cannot access either. S1 mobile apps working, but what a drag they are - sucking the life out of the battery and never with you when you need a controller! However, back to the Windows S1 Controller. It states it cannot see my (existing) system. I have tried all the suggestions: restarting the router, restarting the Bridge (I do not use WiFi to connect), uninstalling and re-installing the Windows Controller. On set up of the re-downloaded Controller, set up states the “app” is ready, however the Conroller continues to state it cannot see my system.Any advice gratefully received that does not include ditching the Controllers and solely using the mobile and iPad apps, or using WiFi to connect (it needs an ethernet cable to the nearest speaker, which being a Play 5 is not easy to situate to connect by ca
