Hey I’m sure this has been asked before but having spent some time searching the forums I can’t find a definitive answer.Can I play Apple Music Lossless audio through my Sonos system? My understanding is that this isn’t possible through the S2 app, but does this work via Airplay? ThanksRex

Looking for some input on rear speaker placement.   There is about a 12-inch shelf between the wall and couch, but its slightly below the couch level. Ear level is about 4ft. The doorway can be closed off, but there is nowhere to mount speaker above it.  I feel my only option is to wall mount the One SLs on the wall behind the couch, but not sure on placement or height. I’m thinking each corner of the couch with them tilted downward, but what height would you recommend? FYI System is Beam (Gen2) ONE SLs for surround, and Sub Mini once it arrives. All the AV equipment supports Dolby Atmos.  

 Hi, I have recently attempted to reinstall the Sonos app for Windows (11 64 bit). I uninstalled the version I had as it could not connect or find my system. I am getting the above error when attempting to open the app at the end of the install process.  Any ideas?

Is the Home theater extension, 2 One’s and a mini sub, worth getting as an addition to my current Sub, Arc, and 2 Ones?

What would be the better spend? With a beam, 2 one sl speakers or mini sub? We are more speech oriented than big movie sounds. Stu

I am in process of upgrading my home theater system. Currently I have wired speakers and Denon Amplifier. For daily use I want to use Sono Arc. However to watch movies I would like to incorporate sono arc to my wired system. Few options I came across: 1) Use Sono Amp and connect the rear speakers, however it would not power the sub. 2) Use Sono Sub but it only connects to Sono Arc not to non-sono amplifier. 3) Keep the current system “as is” for movies and Sono Arc for daily; Bummer...

I currently have a TV with output into a Playbar. I have two Play:1 speakers in other rooms in the house. All are configured as one system. My hardware and controller software are fully up to date. I would like to play my TV audio output to the two Play:1 speakers and not have the TV playing on the Playbar.When I route any non-TV audio source to the Playbar, the TV disappears as an input option for any source. So I cannot have TV output going to a Play:1 while some other output is going to the Playbar. If I send the TV output to the entire system then remove the TV from the Playbar only (keeping it routed to the Play:1 devices), it also drops the TV from the Play:1.I've been doing this for years, and now it stopped working. How do I make it work again? Or does this no longer work? 

I recently bought Sonos Arc + Sub Gen 3. I was wondering if there is a way Sonos Arc can connect directly with Sub Gen 3 (without being depedent on WiFi). Similar to how Samsung Q950A or JBL Bar 9.1 does.

My speakers are intermittently appearing and disappearing from my Sonos apps. On my phone I usually get only the Beam, but sometimes only the Play:3. On my laptop I get Move most of the time but not always. Really weirdly, I can play music through Spotify connect through the Play:3 via the sonos connection at the same time that the same speaker does not appear in the sonos app. what is going on and how can I fix it?! All are connected on the same wifi, I’ve tried switching off and on multiple times. I’ve tried to find the speakers in the sonos app by adding a new product to my system. It’s hugely frustrating!

I just bought the new S2-compatible Port to replace my old Connect. Unfortunately this makes my active B&O speakers start humming after the music has stopped. Very frustrating as this was not the case with my Connect.  The issue is identical to a previous post, which is now closed.   Any suggestions how to solve this issue?  

My speakers (sonos 1) and sub keep disconnecting from the app. Almost as if they go into a power saver mode after an hour or so and then I have to power them down and on again to get them to reconnect Why do they not just stay on all the time?

HELP  Bought the beam yesterday, set it up as standard and watching something on the fire cube last night the sound suddenly cut off. This was around 2 hours into watching.Followed all troubleshooting steps today, eventually resetting the beam and starting again.Seemd to be connected to TV alright for a while tonight again, then sound stopped again.I also have a fire tv cube and virgin 360 box connected to the same TV. Last I checked, I could listen to Spotify on the beam but there's silence when I try listen to the TV.The 3 devices are all in an enclosed space in a tv unit (under the TV which is on the wall), should I keep them apart?I seen someone mention a CEC less adaptor 

Hello SONOS Community:While I am able listen to Spotify from my PC (via Bluetooth) on my Sonos One speaker, I unfortunately cannot use Sonos One for any other audio from my PC...When I view Bluetooth devises on my PC Settings, I see the Sonos One, but I cannot access or activate it.  Any help would be appreciated.      

What type of Bluetooth headphones are compatible with Sonos? We have 2 Plays, 1 Roam, and 1 Port.

I just migrated to a new MacBook and am downloading software. I went to download the Sonos app for Mac and saw that there are other (pay) apps available - Remote for Sonos, Switch for Sonos, Soro for Sonos, Audio Cast for Sonos. I have (unfortunately) two PlayBars and 5 Play:1 speakers.  I know there are a lot of posts about how rotten the Sonos for Mac app is and I agree.Does anyone have experience with these apps (or others)? I wish I could “try before I buy” but it’s not an options. Reviews seem to be good?  Thanks! As a complete aside and simple rant, because Sonos’s screwed us with their policy on “older” speakers that are 2-4 years old, I’m planning to go 3rd party as I can afford it to replace the Play:1’s. I’ll keep the PlayBars - we don’t really use them for music. I have zero interest in smart speakers unless the listening ability can be turned off. Just had to say!

I’m just trying to play a BBC radio station through my Sonos beam.But it keeps referring to ‘TuneIn’ where the BBC no longer broadcast stations.I have the BBC Sounds app set up in Sonos and it works when I activate it manually from the app but doesn’t work under a voice command. Through Google assistance.YouThrough Google assistance.It just says ‘ alright, playing BBC Radio 1 on tune in, sorry I couldn’t find what you asked for‘  why is it defaulting to tune in?   

Hello, I have 2 x play 3’s, 2 x play 5’s, Gen3 Sub and a playbar. I currently have my playbar, 2 x play 3’s and sub connected together which for TV and movies great. My play 5’s are for music and setup as another room but I cannot seem to use the Sub with the play 5’s for music… I.e. I don’t know how to connect the sub to both rooms… so when playing music I have the sub and when watching TV I have the sub… hope that makes sense…help please! Or should I just reset the whole system and start a fresh understanding the above requirement? One of my speakers is hard wired into my WiFi router for ease of set up and ALL my speakers are in the same room at the moment…

So according all sources AAC 5.1 codec is not supported for Sonos home theatre products, specifically in my case, the Playbase [with 2x Play 1’s and a Sub]However, my PC is my media source, connected to the Playbase via an optical cable.I have long suspected I’m getting surround sound from AAC 5.1 encoded files - but this is not possible right?However I’ve just downloaded an AAC 5.1 test file:Fraunhofer Test Filewhich seems to deliver accurate 5.1 sound.Confused.Is it possible that my PC’s soundcard is decoding the audio channel before sending it down the optical cable and is bypassing the Sonos processing? 

per the title, I can relocate 2 One gen 2s from another room and swap those with the One gen1s currently serving as surrounds to a Beam Gen 2. Is there any benefit? I am wondering if the gen2 Ones may have some features that will slightly improve the sound of the Beam gen 2 and current Ones.

My lounge is approx. 20ft x 12ft. we have the usual stuff, couple of sofas etc. But my question is this, will my sound experience be improved enough by the sub mini when i add it to my playbase or will it feel lost because of the size of the room? I don’t have surround speakers but am thinking of getting some.

I would like to have music play on my AV system (I have a denon AV-X4400H) when I start it on my sonos system via the app or voice commands and I would also like the Sonos system to play the music when I have music started from my AV system. Is this possible?    Also, can the HDMI on your sonos connect be used as INPUT to an amplifier?

I have the Playbar, sub and a pair of SL Ones in the hall and in my room the Arc and a pair of SL Ones. Sometime back I had a problem with the sound in my room and i was asked by Sonos Beta whether I had done the Trueplay of not and I answered no because I do not have anyone here with iPhones. I do have the 5th generation iPad Air but it is not supported as yet. Then I was sent the trueplay link where I had to activate the mic in my iPad before following the instructions. There was remarkable improvement to the sound in the hall as well as my room. Now I intend to add a sub to my room and so I requested the Trueplay link from Sonos BUT they are unable to help me. They suggested I should try the Beta Community for help. Can anyone be kind enough to send me the Trueplay link before I get the sub. Thank you.

Hi, I am unable to connect to my products after upgrading to iOS 16 on my iPhone 13 Pro Max.I’ve made sure there is no interference, VPNs and such.I’ve deleted and reinstalled with no luck.My wife can still connect fine as she is still on iOS 15. Any advice?

Hello.  I’ve been googling and searching these forums, but not still quite sure the most ideal solution for my situation (There may not be one).  We’re installing a new patio and the landscaper offered to trench and lay the speaker wire for my outdoor speaker setup.  I’m looking at the Sonance MAG Series 6.1 that comes with the Sonos Amp.  I’d house the amp in my basement and run the speaker wire outside.  I was thinking while I’m able to run wires/cables underground it would be great if I could set something up if we ever wanted to bring a TV or projector out using the sonance speakers for the audio.  I’ve seen options for HDMI extenders through Ethernet or maybe even just HDMI.  My problem is we won’t have a tv or projector out there all the time so any cable/devices I run would just be sitting out in plain site in the elements when not in use.  Any thoughts on what I could do to use the Sonos system outside for occasional TV/projection viewing?  I am by no means an expert in any of

Hi, I got a Sonos One, set up the app, connected Tidal, all works great.Is there any way to get autoplay to work through the app? Normally, when you finish a playlist on Tidal, it switches to “track radio” and plays continuously . Can’t seem to find this option though the Sonos app. Thanks
