Was considering to upgrade my system with a new arc and gen3 subwoofer. Decided to replace my Samsung android phone with an Apple iphone to use Trueplay. However after purchasing a SE 2022 found that this is as yet not supported by Sonos. After e-mailing and a phone call to sonos support was informed they do not release dates for upgradesbut will be coming soon and to use a friends iphone for trueplay!! These phones were released March this year. Maybe in another year or two Sonos will support this model. Now bought a Sony HT-A9, which supports all formats and uses a remote for callibration. The sound is amazing for both TV\ radio. So muchso just bought the new sony A90K TV.Will now never buy another sonos product. Current system is relegated to the pare room with my old smaller tv.Rest in Peace sonos Long live Sony products.
I have a Sonos Arc with IKEA back speakers. Will the new Mini Sub work with this arrangement? I have a fairly small living room. Probably a stupid question but all of the information I see references the ‘smaller’ sound bars.
Getting my money’s worth today …. third post 😀Have a sub that I’ve owned since new (think a gen 2) and has worked perfectly to date. But I did a few component move arounds and this one previously doing duty in the kitchen was moved to the hall ….. the kitchen redecoration lent itself to a new Gen 3 in white.Came to connect it up just and it works but dropped in and out on initial playback then dropped out altogether when I moved it to its side. I reset it and added it again upright and seems be working fine now. But I wondered if it was good practice put it on its side or if there was a sensor that cut it out when not upright?Reason to put it on side was purely cosmetic as it fitted under a footstool. That proved to be also a bad idea on a wood floor as the limited time it has sat there, it sustained surface scratches. But surprised it prove be a problem operationally on it’s side …. or am I convincing myself of mixed facts/circumstances?Nothing unusual about the unit save to say that
Does anyone know if Sonos make a case for the Roam? (When travelling with it, a protective case would be really useful)
Hi,I have been using Deezer for years but want to switch. Currently I can save to a Deezer playlist using the sonos app - so it’s then possible to access the playlist later in the car etc - rather than making sonos playlists which are only good at home. This function is not possible with Apple Music so a deal breaker for me as seems a fundamental function! Does anyone know what music streaming services I can save playlists to whilst listening/using sonos app?tia
I understand that using a Sonos Connect to play my turntable to the Sonos Arc is a cheaper than using the Port. But, will I need a pre-amp to use the Connect or the Port. My turntable is an older Sherwood turntable.
Hello. Could anyone in the know kindly advise what the Sonos sub mini box dimensions are and what the shipping weight (with packaging) of the set is please? I'm trying to assess shipping costs/options. TQ.
Hi all ,Im looking to purchase my first ever sonos product .im looking for a great speaker to listen music at home. As a family we always have the music on and I think a sonos setup would be great. Hello.I need to connect the arc soundbar, the Sub (Gen 3) and 6 Sonos Architectural by Sonance speakers and TV. How many AMPs do I need?Thank you
Hi, just bought Sonos One SL Shadow Edition. Trying to find out the manufacturer date or if I have airplay 1 or 2 serial A201 2207CP [Redacted]
I started using Sonos Arc today with Sony Bravia XR X90J. I can see that there are mulitple layers of volume control. Volume level control in the App Volume level control that appears when phone’s volume buttons are pressed (appears as CAST volume control, I am using an android phone) Volume level control on TV which in turn controls the volume of Arc via HDMI eARC Master Volume limiter in the App advanced settingsWhat I have observed is that the volume level displayed on TV is not synronized with what it shows on the Sonos App. Also, Sonos App volume control overrides TV’s volume control - acts like a master volume knob! For example, I kept raising TV volume to 90% and yet, Arc was barely audible. I also checked the volume limiter in the App and it was at 100%. At first, I thought it’s an issue with the overall output of Arc, later I realized the regular volume control on the App was at 10%.Shouldnt the App’s volume control increase when TV sends command to Arc to increase the volume
Hi,I’m implementing my own SOAP Webservice based on the provided WSDL. At the provided WSDL the trailing slash is replaced by a # before the action.Ex.: http://www.sonos.com/Services/1.1#searchAt my implementation the action URL si the followingEx.: http://www.sonos.com/Services/1.1/search So the calls to my SOAP Webservice fail with the following error:System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException: Server did not recognize the value of HTTP Header SOAPAction: http://www.sonos.com/Services/1.1#search. I’ve already added my custom music service to the device at the APP but I get no calls to the API My Web Service is implemented with C# ASMX
I have a Home Theater setup (Beam, Sub and 2 Play One SL)I like the touch panel functionality but I have to disable it because my kids like to press the touch buttons on the surround speakers.. They are not that high placed. It would be convenient if there was an option in the software where i could make to Beam work with touch panel and disable the touch panel function on the other devices
I can't upgrade to S2 because I have some old components. On the S1 app, when trying to ‘add a service’, I get a message “App update needed.” Does “update” mean upgrading to S2, or is it just a new version of S1? In other words, how do I add additional services to S1 without updating to S2?
Wanting to airplay a video from ipad to my sonos beam which is then connected to a monitor. Does the beam only output audio and no video?
Currently I have an 8+ year-old TV that has performed well but it is heading toward an honorable retirement. It is mounted in a corner of the viewing room on an articulated wall mount as will its larger, more technically adept replacement (LG QNED85AQA) with such new feats as Dolby Atmos, Dolby Vision and I’m hoping enough simplicity to learn how to use it. I will also attach an Apple TV (latest available currently) since I love the interface. I also requirement a second box from Dish TV to give me local channels and traditional viewing. (This is non-negotiable for other household members.) For audio the current setup is a Sonos Playbar mated to a early Sonos Subwoofer and a pair of Play:1s for rear channel. I imagine I’ll hook the Playbar up via optical to start while fiddling with the TV and sorting the video. This is also where I listen to music so I can maintain a happy status quo in that capacity. Once that’s sorted no doubt I will want the Atmos effect. Literally, a 2-minute stor
Hi i’ve been having a problem with my set up for some time now. I have Sky Q which i watch on a samsung tv. My sonos bean is connected by arc hdmi, and there are 2 play 1’s connected vis the wifi as surround sound. Often, but not always, when I turn on the TV the sound does not work. Sometimes it will play sound for around 1 second, then go off. Other times, just no sound. To get it to work I have to turn the TV off and back on, usually a few times - sometimes 8 or more times! Quite frustrating. Can anyone help with this issue?? Ive read a few similar ish posts and have restarted my equipement, checked TV is on autoplay, and am all up to date. I have also just swapped the HDMI lead in case that was a problem. Time will tell. Thanks!
hi guys...can you please help me to update my sonos product?….am not able because am using an old firmware
I currently have an Immersive set with Arc, Sub, & 2 One SL’s. Would I be able to add a Sub Mini to my current system?
I recently upgraded to an LG C1 with my Sonos Arc (running in home theater with a pair of Ones and a sub) and love it...until I tried to get a new UHD player (Sony X700) that supports Dolby Vision and ran into the dreaded problem where DTS signals are only getting downmixed as PCM Stereo. I’ve read the monster thread on this topic (linked below) on the Panasonic UB820 and it seems it has the same issues. What’s incredibly frustrating is that clearly the TV is capable of passing through LPCM properly if the player converts DTS to it, as I have this working with DTS tracks on my Xbox Series X and PS5 -- but neither of them support Dolby Vision for disc playback (so frustrating).I’m willing to spend money to solve the problem but do not want to get an HD Fury Arcana if I can at all avoid it because I don’t want to add an HDMI switch to my setup and I think that’s unavoidable with multiple components and the Arcana. Worst-case scenario I suppose I will use the PS5 for discs with DTS tracks
Hello there everyone, is there anyway to connect the sounds from my computer (ie Youtube) to my Sono system?
I just got wireless fives and a wireless subwoofer. I’m trying to pair it to my samsung smart tv. They automatically synced to my tv since they are on the same router. I cant get them to play though when watching tv. It doesn’t give me the option to choose them as surround sound. Not sure if I need to get a sound bar. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hello all. I realize this is a ridiculous question, but I’m hoping you’ve heard worse lol. I was perusing Craigslist and I found a One SL, basically in open box condition, but it has the logo of a company on the top (I assume screen printed) because it was given away as a promotional item. The price is crazy good, but I would rather not have the logo on there. Anybody have a clue if the type of plastic used for a One SL is susceptible to getting eaten by acetone? Any other ideas to remove the unwanted logo without damaging the plastic?
I have a simple question: I would like to know which TV is best for our sonos system. I have a TCL, who has problems with lip sync. And it's time to get a new tv. I would really like to get some opinions based on your usage please? My system is simple, Sonos Beam gen 1, pair of Sonos play 1. And I'm going to buy a mini Sub. Possibly I will sell the beam, to get a Beam gen. 2 with Dolby Atmos, so it would be nice to have a TV with Atmos too. Thanks
Until earlier today I was able to connect Apple TV to any Airplay enabled Sonos product by swiping down in whatever I was watching on Apple TV to bring up ATV Audio menu to Sonos. The Apple remote then controlled volume, pause etc etc. As of this afternoon, the Sonos products have disappeared on the Apple drop down Audio menu. Any ideas as to what might have changed? This has been working perfectly for the last 2 years! Has there been a falling out b/t Sonos and Apple?
