More for management of Sonos vs. a conversation. I ordered 5 AMPs, three in late June, two in late August. No communication on any status until I called in early October. I was told all five would ship 10/18, but only the 2 ordered in August actually shipped. The June order is now expected to ship 11/18. Called Sonos again (no proactive update) and they said there was an issue with orders from June and July and those were skipped.Note to those with outstanding orders, it appears you have to call about items to get them shipped otherwise you may never get moved up the list. Also, products in demand ship monthly.Notes to management of Sonos, 1) you need to communicate, even automated communications are better then nothing, 2) if a product really is in short supply it would be wise to ensure you are working the oldest orders first, 3) ease up on the marketing emails if you can’t supply product, I get several a week, and 4) treating customer like this over time can erode the loyal base you
How do I reset Sonos Boost
When will boomplay be included in Sonos?
Hi, I have two play 1 speakers I use in stereo and use Spotify. However I have came across tidal hifi service and have used this recently. I paying for hifi which I believe is cd quality. I use the tidal app directly to play onto Sonos. Will my old speakers support cd quality? Thanks
Please enable Google casting - in particular for YTmusic. The Sonos app is not good enough for this - most features from the YTmusic-app are missing.
Hi,I have set up my Sonos Arc and set up ran smoothly, however when I switch TV or Music off, the Sonos Ark disappear of the app and I need to reboot the ARC to be visible on the APP again, if TV or music is on it seems fine only when we switch TV off and switch on later does it disappear. Please advise if someone has similar problem and how to resolve. Thank you
I am renovating my forever home and will have one room for the kitchen, dining area and living room. It is 20 x 28 feet inside. The end with the kitchen cabinets, a large island and the dining table is not a good place for the regular speakers with no good place to set them. I had hoped to install a couple ceiling speakers using an Amp to power them. I would also like to use a couple ceiling speakers in the living room (the opposite half of the space) and would like to power them all with one Amp. Is it possible to both adjust the volume of these two sets of speakers separately, as well as adjust the balance on each set?If there is any way possible to do this please let me know. If there is an alternate way to set them up still allowing the use of the S2 app to control them, it would be ideal. I am wondering if I could use something separate to achieve what I am trying to do as well.Trying to not buy two Amps to achieve this. I would otherwise likely use one Amp in the kitchen/dining e
I’m looking for some advice. I have a turntable connecting (line-in) to a Sonos Five. Now I want to add other speakers (Beam, Symfonisk) to the room. However, I don’t see any options in the app to add any further speakers. Is there a trick to adding my other speakers?
After all the bitching about the 14.12 update, myself included I think a thank you is in order for fixing this issue with the 14.18 update. I know a lot of comments are going to be about that this should not have happened in the first place, and I somewhat agree but I have to give credit for the latest update because I think my system sounds better than ever before now. Really balanced and even the surrounds are way more pronounced. You don’t have to agree but this is just my opinion. So Thank you Sonos!
Lately I’ve been having issues when I use AirPlay2 on my Move with Play1’s. I have my paired Play1’s in the garage and when I bring Move to the garage to play alongside my Play1’s they play together fine until I sync AirPlay2 to the Move. Music will play on Move/Play1’s for a little while and then the Move will drop out or the Play1’s will drop out for 10+seconds and come back on or both will drop out. Sometimes one or the other will drop indefinitely. I have to go through my Sonos2 app to retry connecting AirPlay2 back to Move. I’ve tried changing my Boost setting 1/6/11 and still does the same thing. This gets annoying so I’ll go back to playing Spotify or music library. I haven’t done a diagnostic check yet. Thanks.
So i have an older Sonos One that i use along with Alexa for mostly playing music via Spotify.Im considering the upcoming deal at Costco on the Sonos Beam 2 and Sonos One SL 2 pack. Ill most likely grab a Sonos sub Mini with my 15% off upgrade coupon after. So i mostly watch streamed content of which much is non 4K and a mix of 2.1 and 5.1 audio. TV is an LG 55” with ARC input (no eARC) but does have Optical Out. Living Room is open concept into Dining Room and Kitchen. L shaped basically with the viewing area measuring around 8’ x 13’. Entire living room is 13’x19’, Dining Room adds another 8’x11’ which then opens to the kitchen which measures 11’x12’ approximately. So the existing Sonos One sits in the dining room and my plan was to leave it there. The Beam 2 would sit under my TV and id most likely get a wall mount for one of the One SL’s and a stand for the other. Sub would go alongside the TV stand.Onto my questions: Are my choices adequate for the room size? Will i be able to use my
Had my Mini Sub for 10 days. Trying to get the best position. The room where it is located is tiled. I had the sub on the floor.Read this article …..https://hometheateracademy.com/subwoofers-floor-shelf/Move the Mini Sub off the floor and it seems much better overall sound. Thoughts?
I was wondering if some one could help me make the right choice to upgrade my setup My current setup is aLG C1 TV In the same room I have 4 speakers in the ceiling connected to Sonos amp for music.I sometimes connect TV to Sonos amp with hdmi to get sound from ceiling speakers instead of TV.I usually watch movies or play PS5 I was considering one of the following upgrades for this roomOption 1. Sub miniOption 2. Beam 2Options 3. Sub mini and beam 2 Please can you explain in each of these options how and if they can integrate with my Sonos amp system to have sound come out of all speakers? Could I use the beam 2 and amp at the same time? Or does have the beam 2 negate the need?
My Sony tv has eARC and I have the Netflix premium ultravHD . Watching a series that showed in Netflix description as Atmos was showing only Dolby Digital plus 5.1 on the Sonos app. So I put on different movies that has the description of atmos as it’s content. Some displayed Atmos on the Sonos app, some didn’t. Example..6 Underground showed Atmos where Barbarians ll showed the 5.1.. any idea why it would be different?
I have a Samsung 80 something inch led TV with a Samsung smart voice remote. Do not have eArc connection on TV. Have used optical adapter and can only control Sonos arc foul e by voice and Sonos app. Cannot get my Samsung one remote to control the Sonos volume. Have gone through Sonos tutorial and still will not control Arc volume e control. Help!!!! This is driving me nuts.
Hi Everyone. Looking for some advice. I have 2 Sonos ceiling speakers connected to an amp, and a sub and looking for some soundbar advice. You’re probably wondering why I have the ceiling speakers prior to a soundbar. It was because the house is new and we wanted them signed off as part of building regs with fire hoods etc. Now it seems the key selling feature of the ARC is Dolby Atmos with up firing speakers. As I have ceiling speakers is there any need to go for the ARC (have I got Dolby Arnos covered??), or shall I go for the Beam, noting the cost difference. We sit about 5m from our normal family living room Tv. Does an ARC, Sub 3, ceiling speakers and amp seem overkill for watching Transformers on repeat? Or am I not doing the Sonos products I already have justice by not going for the ARC? thank you!!
Hi, i have a sub mini and two one-sl’s that i use with trueplay only for music. I was happy as a cucumber with the sub mini’s rumble until last night’s 14.18 update...after the update finished i could barely hear it, as if it was anemic...i made a new trueplay, i did 3 power cycles, still nothing, i did another trueplay...same. Before if i turned up the music to 50-60% the sub would rumble beautifully and my grin was up to my ears...now it only somewhat rumbles if i turn off trueplay, but when i turn trueplay back on it sound as if i dont have a woofer in my system 😭, even if i turn the sub on and off in the app i only hear a very small difference with the sub on 😪 I could easily say that it sound’s better without the woffer and only with the two one sl’s with the bass turned up. I have to mention that i had every EQ in the middle and the sub at 0 and it sounded PERFECT...now it sounds SAD.I will try a factory reset tonight when i get home, and i reaaly hope that it comes to its sens
I guess I’ll treat my system as if I have an Android phone. I used to able to tune it but not anymore. Nothing has changed but it stops and tells to reduce noise. It’s as quit as I can get it so screw it!
Hello,do anyone noticed a total loss in the power of the sound for the Sub since 14.18 update ? i have 2 play 5 gen 2 and 1 sub and since, sub is no more existing its very frustating.
Hi, I have arc, port, 2 one sl surrounds, gen 3 sw. I also have the amp. Now have have a turntable with the musical fidelity m5si powering mh turnable sending to my Denton 85’s. Is is possible to connect the amp to the m5si so I can use the amp as a streamer for my iTunes? If so how? This is the first priority without having to get a streamer. e.g. mx stream from musical fidelity. The m5si has USB port. Will sonons HDMI to m5si USB port work? Of do I need to add a dac then Sonos amp to dac to m5si?My turnable and arc are in the same room. I can stream over the arc setup but I prefer the dentons. I keep arc home theater for spatial audio in TV. Please let me know.
depuis la mise à jour 14.18 en octobre avec windows la commande individuelle du volume des haut parlleur n’est plus possible ,seulement commande volume du groupe au complet. merci
I have new lg 77, optical not working with playbar. So as ants me to buy new playbar with ARC. Not what Best Buy told me when I bought. Looks like lg found a way to sell more ARC systems. Disappointed in Sonos lg
Hi , after waiting for what seemed ages for Sonos to fix the sub issue I was really happy after installing 14.18 as my Sub came back to life and the system sounded great again until today that is after running Trueplay and now it's back to where it was before and very frustrating as nothing I try fixes it , I ran Trueplay on an old ipad and it got me to update first which then said 14.18.1 but on my phone app its 14.18 .....has anyone got any ideas before I spend an hour on the phone to Sonos getting know where......
Just updated to 14.18 and now I see there is a dot under each room. I don't think it was there before. At least I don't remember. What does this mean?
Thought I would share my experience using a 5.1 system with a 32” tv.Living in a smaller home, I’ve learned to use visual cues to help the space feel generous, but I really wanted to have an immersive experience. Limited to a 32” tv because of all the art & stuff on the walls, I bought a 4k Samsung tv (not a lot of choices), then added a beam/2. Then added 2 one st’s for surround and a sub mini. The result is remarkable. Adding sound adds so much space with a small tv! With dwellings becoming smaller for many good reasons, sound really does help the space feel fuller. A yet relatively unexplored benefit for Sonos.
