Hey everyone,Not sure if anyone else has noticed this, but after the latest LG CX firmware update, I am now receiving the proper Multichannel PCM 5.1 output on my Sonos system. Previously on either of my consoles via Xbox Series X or PS5, LPCM 5.1 content would always come out as Multichannel PCM 7.1 even if the console is set to A/V Receiver and 5.1.Not sure if this was either fixed by the latest Sonos updates or the LG firmware update. This is related to this issue. Please read if you have encountered issues with 7.1 LPCM playback on Sonos via an LG TV
Hi Sonos Guys and Girls Can I get peoples advice on what Sonos set up I should purchase I enjoy both music and TV and can’t decide between the following set ups Arc, surrounds, sub gen3 and 1 x five (for music) or Arc, surrounds, mini sub and 2 x fives (for music) Both set ups are similar priced and I want to watch TV and music I have an open plan kitchen/living room. Who knows exactly what the grey dots are under each named room that were not there before 14.18 update..so many people asking on fb and no one knows ..everyonejust throwing out guesses.
Buonasera, qualcuno sa dirmi se è possibile utilizzare lo sconto aggiornamento per l'acquisto di prodotti ricondizionati.
I have the following 3 “rooms” in my house:Deck - Sonos Amp connected to two outdoor speakers (I can use Airplay to connect to the Deck) Living Room - Sonos Five (I can use Airplay to connect to the Sonos Five) Family Room - ~5 year old Sonos Playbar, two Sonos One SLs surrounds, and Sonos Sub. This is the “home theater”. While the SLs are Airplay compatible, since the Playbar is NOT, and is the “main” speaker, unfortunately I cannot get Airplay in this room. Bonus “Room” - I have a Sonos Roam as well Besides replacing the Playbar with a Playbase or buying an additional Sonos Port, any “hack” I can use to get Airplay in the Family Room, but not lose the surround sound setup. Thank you
I have a play:1 that runs all day, then when i press the play/pause button it will stop. Then if i press play a few ours later nothing happens, then i go to the app and when the button it press it comes up with “Unable to Connect” i then have to load up the app and press play through there.
Hi,since the last software update Sonos is not stopping anymore. If I press stop on iOS or Mac software, it pauses for a second but then reconnects and plays again. Same with hardware button.Experienced on Play:1, One, ROAM and Beam. And with Sirius XM or TuneIn Radio stream. Did not test with other speakers or streaming sources.Only way to fix it is mute volume or remove/ungroup speaker.
Have you ever thought of segregating your surround audio channels so you can assign a particular surround channel to specific SONOS unit? for example: Lets say I want to use a RAY and SONOS AMPS for my surround setup. I would like to assign the center channel to the RAY; then assign one SONOS AMP for my Left & Right FRONT channels; and finallyanother SONOS AMP for my rear surrounds.( which you already do today)I cannot use an ARC in my environment as I am space constrained and the ARC wont fit. but my room is larger and I’d like better audio coverage that I think the RAY can provide.being able to assign surround channels to different sonos units would allow for space issues and provide more sound separation.
I’m so frustrated! I just got a brand new LG OLED B2 and a brand new Sonos arc and my tv cannot pair of via the sonos arc via Bluetooth or hdmi. ive done all the unplug and replug and am so frustrated that I spend this much and it is even this much of a headache. Can someone help me before I return
I’m looking to buy the Sonos Arc for my Sony A1E 65 Inch Oled and I’m curious as to whether or not I will be experiencing true Dolby atmos given the hardware limitations of my tv. Apparently, Dolby Atmos requires an eARC input, however, I’ve heard from a few sources that you can still get Dolby Atmos with the ARC input via DD+ conversion. Is this setup possible? If not, is there any way I can remedy this situation with any external devices such as a dedicated receiver? Thanks!
Are you kidding me? after spending $1000’s of dollars to make my entire house sync together I now can not link my new with my old? I use to tell everyone that this is the best system ever and now you have just lost the trust of all your customers….. this is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard of! not supporting your products when they are the most expensive out there is amazing. I hope there is a fix to this and if not shame on you!
I have a sonos beam gen 1 will this work for surround sound if I add 2 sonos one sl’s
Since latest Windows app update, my PC running Windows 11 can not control volume on any of my Sonos speakers. Off-on and station selection are OK.
I've read everything I can find re my question but am still unsure of what is possible. I want to buy an Epson LS11000 cinema projector that has an eARC port and connect it to my Sonos Arc and use Apple TV4k as my streaming device. Is that possible or do I need to buy a splitter such as the HDFury Arcana in order to use the soundbar? Or do I need to return my Arc/One’s and get a different sound system?
I’ve been struggling with this issue for several days. Speakers in our system have been appearing and disappearing from the iOS app on my iPhone 14. At first, it was one specific Play:1 that kept disappearing from the iOS app. I noticed that if I manually started it (by pressing the play button on top of the unit), it would appear shortly afterwards in the iOS app and I could control it in there. As of the last 24 hours, the issue has worsened; now my iOS app will often say it can’t find the Sonos network at all. Sometimes it will find it, letting me browse my speakers… and then abruptly lose connectivity to all speakers! I notice that the Sonos app on my Windows PC doesn’t have this problem. Interestingly, if I start music on one speaker from Windows, that speaker will then show-up in my iOS app, almost like the speaker has woken-up.My wifi network has not changed any time recently. My iPhone and Sonos are on the same wifi network; the signal is clear and consistent. No other devices
Is there any way to arrange your speakers in the app. I’m assuming I could possibly rename them but I was hoping I could just drag and drop them into a new order.
It took me a while to crack this, I could not find anyone else writing about their success online, and I’m SURE I’m not the only one with this problem. I hope someone else finds this helpful:I have a projector set up on one end of the room, and want the sound to come from the screen in front of me, not the projector. Without a TV, I’ve got nothing to generate an HDMI ARC signal -- Sonos doesn’t create it, my reciever can’t create it, and even the projector can’t create it, so Sonos wouldn’t let me use HDMI at all. Even if they could have, I can’t run an HDMI under my floor or through my walls, and I really didn’t want to trip on the cable. My reciever has plenty of optical input slots, but no optical out. Bluetooth has been serving us well for carrying the sound across the room -- quality is WAY better than I expected -- but the BEAM does not accept Bluetooth Input. After trying and failing with a lot of different ideas, here’s what ultimately worked:Fire TV Stick → BenQ HT2050A p
Just updated to 14.12 only noticed 2 things Truplay had to be redone for my arc,sub and surrounds not my 5's and sub Also volume level seems lower on the arc
Hello any HK Sonos fan here? 🙋🏻Any idea on supporting more HK local music service Moov/Joox on Sonos? Is there anyway we can send feedback to the Sonos team?A bit frustrated that some of the most common local music service cannot be found in the app. Though Sonos has amazing sound and user experience.
I have the gen3 sub and the Arc set up on S2 for theatre. Sounds great! how hard is it to set up a separate setup on S1 to run all my older non compatible speakers for music only? 3 play 11 play 3 1 play 51 sound bar
My current living room setup is two Ones and sub on hardwood floor (part of the room has a rug). The hardwoods are new and have a thick layer of soundproofing, like gym floor mat, and it works amazing. My downstairs neighbor can only hear bass when Im listening at a decent volume at night. My question -- since the sub frequency is resonating on the ground, I assume it’s always going to be a problem. Would swapping to two Fives fix this? I want to be able to listen louder without disturbing. Thanks
Does anyone know what the new dots in the System tab signify? There is nothing mentioned in the release notes.
Just bought the Sub Mini to complete my Beam 2/2xOne home cinema and when I try to connect them to the rest of the system the app keeps saying it can't be done because there is a new update app available but it's not on the play store so I need to wait. Please tell me this is some sort of joke. Who on earth disables important features of an app before the update is available. Is this the type of thing I can expect from Sonos? I'm not best pleased I'm sat here after having spent hundreds of pounds on this sub and can't even use it.
Has anyone tested the sub with trueplay after the 14.18 update? Is it fixed or still an issue?
