My daughter likes to put her hand on the actual subwoofer speakers while a song plays with big bass. Could that potentially damage the sub or is that okay? We have a Sonos Sub Mini.

Just touching will not be a problem; sub drivers are robust. But how will you ensure it does not accidentally end up more than just touching and cause damage then?

+18I’ve seen a message here about a speaker protector that can be put in the hole in the Sub. Can’t find due to the search function on this forum.
Easy to make one out of speaker cloth.
Likely will be a Sub Mini coming soon, check the folks making the full sized covers.
