I need a way to use Sonos without giving location.My local network is my local network and location is irrelevant so I don’t want this intrusion in to my business. I don’t want to have to report my whereabouts to the manufacturer of a piece of hardware I buy. The concept is frankly bizarre.   

Hi allI recently purchased Samsung S95c which has the OneConnect Box.I have a combination of Sonos Arc and 2 Sonos One for rear sound.I have Sonos Arc connected via HDMI 2.1 AUDIOQUEST Pearl 48 cable to the HDMI 3 eARC port on the Samsung OneConnect box. I enable the eARC function and it works at the beginning. After some time, sound drops out and TV goes to TV sound. After a couple of seconds it goes back to eARC. If I disable eARC, this does not happen.TV is running latest SW 13.10.3 and Sonos Arc is running 15.11.I have also tried with HDMI cable that came with Sonos Arc and it had the same issue.Has anyone been able to resolve this? Thanks

The Sonos Speaker does not support bluetooth because there are losses. however, there must be protocol and software(device drivers or middle ware) which should be able to connect the five as an output speaker from my PC or phone.I do not need to connect a external device to do the same.Buying such luxury speaker should come with atleast these features or atleast allow the community to develop such software.

I have been told that I can no longer update my system or add products to my existing system because my iPhone operating system is too old. The mesons as follows: The OS on this mobile device is no longer Supported. Which basically means I have to get a new phone if I want to receive sonos updates!!

Hey, I know there were a couple of posts saying that this had now been fixed in a firmware upgrade.  My system is fully up to date But I cannot get my Sony Bluetooth turntable to connect to my era 300s. Am I missing something?  Do I have to do something manually to upgrade? All I get told is that my system is up to date.  

I just received the Ray bar. My television is an older Samsung that does not have an optic cable connection. Does anyone know of any solutions? I’ve found an optic connector with RGB connectors and wonder if anyone is aware of something similar as a solution? Thanks!!

I have updated to S2 app and added a move speaker to the 3 Sonos 1s, 1 Sonos 3, play bar and sub . The S2 app keeps dropping the speakers and I can’t see them on app, they will then re appear only to be dropped again later, this is very annoying. I have a play 5 also which now operates on a S1 controller on the same WiFi network and this seems to be operating ok. Are there fixes planned to be made to the S2 controller app as it seems very unstable or should I revert all speakers back to S1 controller if that’s possible?  

Is there a chance of implementing a feature for access control on the Sonos Amp so that individuals can only access it with permission granted by you?

I am looking for recommendation on speakers and placements for my room. I’m only interested in music as there is no tv in this space. There is a design layout of the room below. I can imagine a lot of different configurations from speakers on the 2 cabinets on the shorter walls to 1 speaker in the corner radiating  out to both and have even seen suggestions for 2 speakers at the end of each leg. Speakers on the cabinets or floor or wall mounts?  If multiple speakers I want them to work well together not cause sound interference if you move across the space. A variety of music could be listened to depending on the occaission from classical and jazz to pop, rock or blues or anything really.  What is your ideal set up or what compromises would you make depending on the details. I have an Arc and the mic turns on and off without warning at random times. It makes a tone every time this happens. It does it with music or the tv. I called sonos and got a replacement, but that didn't fix the issue. How is this happening with a capacitive touch button when nothing is touching it? Is the device just designed horribly and there is no fix?

I have a large gym area about 12m x 5m with a double height pitched roof, what would be the best set up, 2x5s or 2xEra300 I wood have an arc on the Tv and a Sub Gen 3, any suggestions?

Hi i am new to the forum and have a question about listening to talking books. We both have the app on our phones logged in via one account and my wife listens to music and i want to mostly listen to talking books but music as well. The great majority of our content both music and books is stored on our NAS server in separate folders. In the App there is only one music library so books and music get mixed up when looking in Albums or artists etc. I know you can access the folders separately within the music library but then the search by folder/artists etc is not so good and you have more menus to get through.Does anybody have a solution for this? or would a development request to Sonos be the best way to go? Thanks

I have seen this issues in many forums where Sonos ARC is not able to play Dolby Atmos content from Apple TV (3rd Gen) or other devices like roku, xbox etc. Not that there is a sizable population struggling to find a solution this problem. Has anyone been able to get any resilution ?My Setup: Apple 4K → Epson 1100S (HDMI In) → Epson eArc Out → Sonos eArc InAppleTV Setup: Video HDR10+, Audio Dolby Atmos (Or No HDR)Issue: Sound Skips to almost NO soundHigh Quality ethernet enabled HDMI cables (24Gbps) used for all connectionsI have been waiting for 5 months now to find some resolution. We paid for Dolby Atmos would like to get 100% out of our cost. This seems to be some cheating on SOnos side that they are not addressing the issue.

I am trying to set up Sonos system in each of my 4 bedrooms. What I would like is each bedroom to have ceiling speaker(s) with ability to play a different audio in each bedroom.What would be the cheapest Sonos solution?Thank you

As a new owner of a Beam Gen 2, I'm happy with the purchase, much better than what I had.  That said I was expecting a little more to help my older and abused ears with television voice audio.  I was thinking the addition of more speakers could help.  I was contemplating the addition of a pair of Era 100's or one Era 300 (about the same cost).As mentioned they would be for television/video streaming.  Home theatre benefits are great but my priority is voice audio especially at lower volumes.Thanks for any advice

I just bought 2 Sonos play:5 gen:1 and I wanna use it as stereo for my tv setup.  but i don’t know how ….😅

Hi question: My living room size is 10'6"x8'10". It opens up in a kitchen (8'8"x9'8") and dining (7'3"x7'1") area. There are no walls between the living, dining and kitchen. Which set-up I should go for? 1) Ultimate Immersive Set with Arc or 2) Immersive Set with Beam? Or anything else? I will use it to watch TV (movies/sports) and music. Thanks in advance. 

what is the function of TV Autoplay and why would i want to choose it or not?

I am planning to install Sonos system in our basement. I have a media room which is 325 sqft (18’x18’) and open basement which is roughly 1300 sqft. my questions- should I put an Arc, 2-Era 300 and 1 sub (gen3) in media room. Is that a lot or less? Media room will have 85” tv and we usually don’t watch movies too loud.and for the main open area is Arc, 2-Era 300 and 1 sub (gen3) enough or do I need more.And say I want to play just plain music in both media room and open basement. Can I connect both to play same music?is there better option for me than stated above. All suggestions welcome.Sorry for so many questions. A newbie here!  

My two Era 100 speakers are suddenly not pairing up...each plays some different and trying to group them isn’t working...please help!

This is the the worst Sonos product out there, and we have 15 total products. the connection almost never works; it won’t charge, and the music cuts in and out almost every attempt. don’t buy this piece of crap

With the rumours building of an upcoming Video Streaming Set Top Box or Stick, I'm really excited about the potential this device could bring.  My feature request is, if Sonos do launch a Set Top Box or Stick, that it enables Wireless connection to Sonos devices (no need to connect Soundbar by HDMI). I also really hope it opens up the option to not have to use a Soundbar at all for Home Cinema and be able to wirelessly connect Sonos Speakers instead.egFront Left One/100/300, Front Right One/100/300Rear Left One/100/300, Rear Right One/100/300 I use Sonos for Music so prefer the stereo separation of 2 Sonos Speakers over a Sonos Soundbar. But would like the option to use the Speakers for my TV Audio aswell. Currently not an option. Please Sonos, utilise your introduction of video hardware to its full potential and provide us with the above functionality.
